Looks can be deceiving. This dilapidated store front in a bizarre strip mall of a donut shop and liquor store, is the home of the yummiest dumplings you have ever had in your life. Order at the counter, or call it in. Wait 15-20 for made to order fresh dumplings. My son also believes they have the best orange chicken and rice then anywhere else. These dumplings were yummy. The wonton soup was pretty tasty too. Chicken chowmein was huge and great as left overs. The restaurant is a lot bit out dated and seems like most people order takeout and not dine in due to the styrofoam plates, and red solo cups they serve dine in customers with. But that's what makes this spot great. Why fix it if it ain't broken? Lady wrapping the dumplings at a table in the dining room is a sure tell sign this place is authentic AF. Yummy dumplings? More like Yucky DUMP-lings after you eat from this place. Spent $52 for food and within 20 minutes, me and coworkers were stuck in toilet all day on a construction site. We couldn't even trust even a little tut to come out if you know what I mean. The rice was over cooked, dry, and burnt so there went wasted money and food. This is a not in any way a negative review to make Yummy Dumplings a bad place for food. Dumplings live up to its name. They are yummy and can taste the home madeness. The dumpling wrapper is thick and chewy. The filling was juicy and generously filled. I had the pork and chive and pork and vegetable dumplings. And very fair priced $10 for 10 big juicy dumplings. And I also enjoyed their filing sauce. Sweet and vinegar soy sauce. SO BOMB! SO COMFORTING! Amazing price and great portion! The dumplings are big and juicy. Chow mein is to die for! Noodles were perfect with a lot of flavors and the right amount of grease. This Cameron Park Chinese restaurant is conveniently located off the freeway in Cameron Park. When writing this it was take out only or walk up and wait to order. There is no seating, so prepare to take it with you. The service was friendly and the food was prompt. They are known for their dumplings and have many flavors to choose from. Traditional or pot sticker style. I ordered one of each style to give it a try. I also added a few vegetable egg rolls. Shrimp and chicken dumplings and pan fried pork and chive potstickers . You could see inside the restaurant and someone's Mom or Grandmother was sitting and making the dumplings by hand. An extra treat!. The order came out quickly, nicely plated and ready to go. Appropriate sauces and all the utensils were included. The dumplings were a thicker skin than I had seen before, but that made it all the better. It was difficult to decide which style we preferred. My husband the potsticker and myself the traditional. This is not a fancy place by any means but the food was excellent and not expensive. 10 dumplings, either style for under $11.00. There is more to explore at this restaurant and I plan on doing just that. PS: I think this would be a great dinner or party appetizer to ease the entertaining burden! After all the good reviews I had been looking forward to trying this place out- What a disappointment! First off we haven't had a COVID lockdown in this county in a month or more...and yet they still have the dining room completely closed down. You open a door which is poorly marked and blocked with a table and a board to order....then you stand around in the parking lot waiting for your food for 15-20 minutes...not the dining experience I was expecting for lunch. I ordered General Chicken and Pork and Vegetable potstickers...a $26 lunch. I waited in the 100 degree lunchtime heat in the parking lot until it was finished....which would have even been acceptable if the food was great. The Generals chicken was one level below what you would expect from the typical mall Chinese fast food place. It just simply wasn't good, I don't know how else to describe it....my favorite dish reduced to a plate I wont ever finish. The pork and vegetable potstickers were acceptable, but not outstanding in any way. Nothing I couldn't get premade at any other asian restaurant...definitely not the quality I'd expect from a "specialty dumpling restaurant". They are fairly bland with the typical soy/vinegar dumpling sauce. Basically, if you are starved and got off this exit looking for chinese food then this is the only place to go. It's not horrid, but it certainly isn't memorable and not somewhere I'll be returning... Want better Asian cuisine? Go one exit east and hit up either China City, or Yumi Sushi....heading west? Heard about this place from a friend. He raved about how good the food was so of course, I had to try it. This is a pretty small restaurant. When I arrived I took a seat in the booth. The waitress greeted me and brought me water immediately and asked if I was ready to order or if I wanted a bit of time. Thanks to Yelp, I already knew what I wanted to get. I ended up ordering the beef chow mein and the pan fried pork and chive dumplings. As time went on the restaurant started to fill it's seats up. About 10 minutes passed and my food was already at my table. Fresh and hot. First, I tried the beef chow mein, it was pretty good. It was even more delicious with siracha all over it lol. Then I tried the pan fried dumplings and man, oh, man. Those were good. They make the dumplings fresh in the restaurant then they're cooked to perfection. I have to say they have the best dumplings in the area. I will definitely be back for them. Overall, great experience. Yummy Dumplings, horrible service... This place really does have some amazing Dumplings and their pot stickers are some of the best I've ever had! But their service is the absolute worst! You can't order inside anymore (their covid policy) so you have to communicate to them through a dirty piece of plastic. They took my order and told me it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. About 20 minutes go by and the person who ordered after me got their food.... Ookkkk why is this? So I go up to the window to ask where my food is and it's just been sitting their getting cold. They never once tried to call it out or get me my food when it's hot and ready. They just let it sit there and get cold.....thanks for that. I was literally standing outside the entire time. Mind you iam one person and this meal cost me $24 because they offer no combo. Only expensive Ala cart items. Their prices are odd as well, the dumplibgs are cheap but their fried rice is way too expensive. It makes no sense.. This place is sketchy. Stopped by to get some yummy dumplings and decided to eat in. While eating, I saw an employee making dumplings on one of the customer dining tables with raw meat and everything on the table. I'm sure they took sanitary precautions and I didn't get food poisoning from this place, but I'm also sure that it's illegal to make food outside of the kitchen. That being said, I have positive things to say about this place overall. The sauce is truly amazing and probably one of the best dumpling dipping sauces I've tasted. No beers, no frills, just the real deal like in Oakland Chinatown, or maybe in Cantonese China where these owners originate. Don't stop, proceed to GO! Prices are commensurate with the basics that this place has to offer, if you want fancy, please proceed to Folsom or further onwards. Not for big parties, it's not big and it's not highly staffed. Not for a fancy night on the town either, but rather this review is all about the dumplings. I have tried other things they are less than 5 shiny things in overall quality. Good quality food that's quick and fast but not at all processed fast food!! We tried the pork and shrimp dumplings, the kim chi dumplings, garlic green beans and onion pancake. Everything was delicious and our food was done in less than 10 minutes. Everything was delicious and the sauces are delicious. Each of our dumplings was delicious, our favorite was the pork and shrimp. Garlic green beans were deeeeelicious! Perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. The onion pancake was delicious and flaky and chewy and you could eat this in endless amounts!!! No eating inside. Lots of take out orders. We are outside. No frills environment but it provided us a place to eat our food fresh. Everyone was happy happy happy!!! Next time we'll try the pan fried dumplings. If you're in the mood for some delicious satisfying food, give this place a try!!! Highly recommended!! Don't let the food fool you.... We visited this small Asian dumpling specialty restaurant with high hopes. The first thing you will notice is how small it is. There are 3 booths and 3 tables with a max capacity of 28. Curious because they could fit another 2-4 tables easily. One table was being used for making dumplings. We were in the restaurant for 90 minutes and while we were there...a bowl of raw meat used in making the dumplings, sat at this prep table uncovered. The wait is long if you want to dine in so be prepared. Once inside, you will notice that they are more focused on the orders coming in on the phone than they are servicing the people in the restaurant. Customer after customer, had to wave down the 2 employees for drinks, food, place settings and checkout. Many people walked out due to the lack of service. Back to our experience. After 15 minutes sitting, I had to go up to the counter and ask the lady to come take our order. She was so focused on phone and to go orders that she completely ignores the tables. We ordered 3 different dumplings, 1 potsticker order, a small soup, Mongolian beef and beef fried rice. We also ordered a Pepsi. After 45 minutes the server brought 2 orders of dumplings to our table. She also brought a can of cherry Pepsi and informed us that they only have strawberry Pepsi. We declined the can of "Strawberry Pepsi" and started eating the dumplings. The first thing we see was that the plates were dirty with "wet" food still sticking to the plate. They rinsed these plates but never washed them. Disgusting. They also served us water using clear plastic cups. The utensils were plastic. After another 30 minutes, we never got the rest of our order. They had no structure, process, or system of service in the restaurant. The food was ok, but I can see how locals like the food as there are no other dumpling locations nearby other than Fats in Folsom. We canceled the rest of our order and the hostess wasn't even aware that we were missing two thirds of our food. Summary...small location, unclean food prep, extensive wait, dirty plate ware and utensils, incomplete orders, and no service. Don't waste your time. read more

This place is the best!! They make fresh authentic dumplings every morning with lots of yummy fillings. The service was pleasant and the food came out quick! I went with chicken and shrimp dumplings and a side of cream cheese wontons which were both out of this world.
