This review is long overdue. I DoorDash Yummys Kitchen whenever I'm craving Chinese food. They offer simple, fresh and consistent food. Everything I have ordered was absolutely delicious. Two of my favorites are the Mandarin Delight and Beef & Broccoli. The sauces are light with just enough flavor that doesn't overwhelm and drown your food. Every vegetable is fresh and cooked perfectly to aldente, never soggy.... and the protein and seafood is always delicious! The pictures are an accurate depiction of how fresh their food is. Ordered takeout to give this place a try, and unfortunately it wasn't a great first experience. There was some miscommunication that resulted in the wrong item being made and packed. I ordered spare ribs and specifically asked that they not be burnt because I really can't stomach charred ribs. When I got home, I discovered they had given me boneless ribs instead. To make matters worse, they were burnt to the point of being inedible. I called the restaurant, but instead of acknowledging the mistake, they insisted I had ordered the wrong item. The only solution they offered was a refund if I drove back and returned the burnt boneless ribs. After already making the trip home, wasting another 20 minutes just to get a refund for their mistake wasn't exactly customer service. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing memorable. It's hard to enjoy the meal when the order is wrong and the restaurant makes fixing it your responsibility. I know quality Chinese takeout options in the area are limited, but there are still other places I'd rather support. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I continue to search for outstanding authentic Chinese food in metro west, and after trying Yummy Kitchen, my quest will continue. On the bright side, the portion of the lunch special was very generous, especially when paired with soup for an extra dollar. The vegetables were fresh, shrimp was a decent texture, and online ordering was easy. However, the flavor wasn't very memorable...no sense of fresh garlic, ginger, scallion, herbs...just mild soy sauce, salty, corn starchy American food court grub. And the pork fried rice is certainly not made to order. Unfortunately, I placed my order using Beyond Menu, but upon arrival at the restaurant to pick up my food, it was clear they never checked the incoming order. No big deal, they promptly started cooking my food and I had my takeaway in about 10 minutes. It's good I wasn't planning to eat there, as the "dining" area was super cold / unheated. I'm sure the kitchen was hot with the cooking in progress, but the waiting area felt like I was standing outside at a food truck. You can do a lot worse than Yummy Kitchen to fill yourself up for very little money, but I'll keep searching for that elusive Chinatown authenticity out here in the burbs. read more

Reminds me of Chinese food in Hawaii. Nice grilled/seared taste to the chicken fried rice and the duck sauce has a refreshing dreamy hint of pineapple flavor! Prices were fair too! Will definitely be back! Aloha! read more

I had a complete luncheon special for $10 and the fried rice, boneless spareribs and my main meal of spicy chicken with peanuts had baby corn and pea pods with loads of flavor and a generous portion. Got DoorDash tonight and it was delicious! Thought this place needed an updated review :) The scallion pancakes were so good; not too greasy and fried just the right amount. Combo meal with chicken lo-mein, boneless spare ribs, crab Rangoon and beef terriaki; all great! This will be our go to take out for sure. read more

I didn't say anything before because honest mistakes can be made. I have ordered a s- whatever at midday. This means I'm ordering from the diner menu at lunch time because it's larger than the lunch portion and it cost a little more. This is the third time I ordered a diner and got a lunch portion yet was charged for the diner. It's fast food Chinese, so you people need to lower your expectations. This place is good for what it is. If you know what you're getting and you're high af and craving some Chinese food where you'll get a good amount for your money then you'll like this place. My only problem with this place is that they don't know what "more duck sauce" means. They'll insist they already gave you some over and over even if you ask for more. If I'm asking for more, it's implied I already know you gave me some but I still would like more sauce! read more

It's a hole in the wall with decent food and good pricing. Nice folks did an online order they called right away to say they got backed up and it would be an hour. They asked if that was ok and if I would like to keep it. You have to respect the honesty. I was ordering for a party of 7 so I ordered a large of each item. I was shocked at how small the containers were and there were no fortune cookies. The food was just okay, the establishment was dirty, and the 2 workers were huddled in a small office to the right of the service counter, basically ignoring customers. We ordered hot sauce, which ended up being an oil. The chicken fingers and fried shrimp were mostly battered and everything was flavorless. I miss China Taste! read more

Was glad when they reopened so ordered lunch & was disappointed. Don't know if there are new owners or new cooks but always like their general tso's chicken but now the chicken is little balls like frozen crappy ones with hardly any meat in them instead of the white meat they used to have. The sauce is dark colored & tasted mostly like bbq whereas the original sauce was light colored, flavorful & spicy. The egg roll was awful--just cabbage. The rice was fine & the shrimp in garlic sauce was good. Service was faster & more friendly. Prices increased but still reasonable except for getting wings with plate & only one. Ordered this evening and not even close to the real flavors in Chinese. The wings were not crisp and everything was dry. The rice had no flavor and the moo shu well just was not moo shu. They should know not to put the wraps in the microwave as that dries them out hard enough as cardboard. We will not go back again. The good reviews we are not sure where they came from. read more

Recently reopened and have ordered from here twice over the last 2 weeks. Food was always really good and great prices.

You know.. they had better containers for a while and now.. back to the crap. But that's not why I update. Maybe I'm spoiled by all this good Thai I've been eating but, I really feel like the food has gotten greasier and more Americanized when I think it was much more authentic than it's neighbors previously. They are still friendly as all hell, but the food seems a bit more run of the mill Chinese to me now. Run, don't walk, away from this place. I hesitated before ordering take out from this place after reading the reviews, I should have known better. Bad is bad... The food in general was not very good, but I am generally very tolerant to take out Chinese. I don't expect it to be good, ok is fine. But I can honestly say I had the worst food experience ever, short of food poisoning with a dish here. Here are what I ordered and my honest opinion of them: beef teriyaki (tasted off, unfortunately by the time I tried it my kids already ate some. Now I understand why they didn't eat more as they usually are all over these and would literally finish an order all by themselves. I am hoping they don't get sick), crab rangoon (was all just sweet cream cheese, nothing else), salt/pepper wings (slightly salty, but actually tasted ok), beef loi mein (minimal bits of beef, but tasted ok), general gau's chicken (very little actual chicken, but anything fried with a sweet sauce is at least edible) And then there is the utterly inedible Mongolian Beef. Why inedible? Well, one spoon of it on my plate I had to throw the whole plate of food away. The amount of SALT used was incredible. It's like the chef decided to just dump the whole salt shaker into this one dish. One bite of that beef and now hours later and bottles of water my mouth is still feeling the after shock of it. I honestly can say I have never ever tasted or ever would have expected to taste anything so so salty in my life! I had to throw the plate away because what little sauce touched the rest of the food made those other food inedible too! Not even the gargling salt water used as Chinese remedy my mom used to make me use as a child contained that much salt, and those were intentionally salty. read more

We liked the veggie lo-mien most of the dishes we had. Everything was decent, nothing that stood out as very good or bad, this may be our go to spot for pretty inexpensive reliable Chinese food. Looks like it is best for takeout with only a few tables and a pretty small space inside. read more

I'm going to give this place 3 stars... which I hesitated doing. The delivery is fast, and the stuff we typically order is great and it's a fair price. Also, I love that you can order online. My main gripe is that there are WAY too many dishes where the it's basically nothing more than vegitable-heavy dishes with watery light sauce that have very little flavor... there are at least 6 dishes like that... because of that, if we want to try something new, we tend to go elsewhere, but for the typical Crabmeat Rangoons, General Gau, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, etc. Yeah this place works just fine. So basically, just know what you're ordering, otherwise you may be disappointed. Things like what I mentioned above, as well as the Egg Fo Young and Mushoo are great, other than that... Here's what we ordered and what everyone said: Chicken Pad Thai- tasted fishy and was completely inedible (2 people tried it). The noodles were a pink color as well. Since moving out of the area, we have grown to miss this place. Laugh, if you must. Yummy Kitchen is a guilty pleasure. Egg rolls, chop suey...scallion pancakes! Pu-pu platter..fried rice..pad Thai? Yep, they have a little of everything. All of its good. Hot and fast, even on the off chance they've gotten it wrong, the food is still delicious. While visiting for the week we knew to answer the call..the egg roll howl was so loud it deafened the senses. I need them. This place offers online ordering and delivery as well. We phoned in a late order, luckily they were able and willing to oblige. Food: hot. Fresh. Plentiful. Order: completely correct and billed accordingly. Store front: clean and orderly. One of the best Chinese takeout places in the area. Had to put in my two cents after seeing the reviews. I've lived in the 'boros for 10 years and I discovered this place about a year ago. Note: Definitely not for eat-in, it is sparse and unattractive in the seating area. I've never had anything I didn't think was high quality. Nothing leaves you greasy but at the same time you won't find any cardboardy rangoons and stuff like that. Usually I go for their crab rangoon, spring rolls, lo-mein, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup.. basic "american-chinese" stuff but the kind of dishes that are essential and which a lot of restaurants can't seem to get quite right. The deals are better than the food, but the food is at least acceptable. I don't expect a lot out of carry out Chinese these days. There's a lot of places that all have food of roughly equivalent quality, and this is no exception. The food in itself is sort of bland, it really needs some seasoning, but is at least cooked appropriately (texture was good). Wasn't a horrible meal, but I've had many better. The deals are exceptional - last night, I got a Moo Goo Gai Pan dinner special, it came with chicken fingers (two of them - you can also choose chicken wings or rangoons to go with the special, you get fried rice with it, and have a choice of soupl as well). There are NO great Chinese food restaurants in Marlborough...You have to travel a little down Route 20 to the East...Lavender's in Sudbury has great food and they deliver to east Marlborough. Yummy Kitchen, China Garden, Joy Asia in Marlborough - They all suck. read more

This place is just like any other Chinese place , tbh you can make it at home that'll taste 100% better , I've only been here because it's convenient but the place is shady , the delivery guy who stands there has no customer service skills and just feels like a creep , the front desk lady is unfriendly and with no customer service skills as well , I always ask for extra duck sauce but I NEVER get them regardless of how much I order . Really? 4 stars? really? Do the people in Marlborough know that General Gao Chicken is supposed to be made with White meat? Not red. Also the Pad Thai leaves something to be desired. It's a real shame this isn't as good as people on here seem to think it is, it would easily be my best Chinese restaurant around.
