Beware of unlicensed massage people!! If they only massage your feet, it is legal. Unfortunately, they also massage your neck and spine with so much force that it hurts! I asked the girl 4 times for less pressure, but she did not understand!! I spoke to the owner and she admits they are not "certified" therapists. My friend could not move for 2 days because of the painful back and neck massage. The owners answer was most people are happy, Americans don't seem to like as much pressure!! Pedicure meets Deep Tissue massage meets Physical Therapy. Best bang for your buck anywhere for a massage (and no that doesn't mean Happy Ending). You are fully clothed with a towel on you the entire time. Not at all creepy even though they massage your entire body minus the naughty bits above and below (and belly). I try to go once a month and know they have gotten rid of the guy who wears gloves and falls asleep (previous review). Have had a massage with all of the people there and haven't had a bad experience yet. And $42 for 90 minutes allows me to go much more frequently than if I went to Tricoci's. Reading some of the negative reviews I think maybe the massage technique might not be for everyone however I like the ear massage the pounding, pulling of the arms, etc. It is apparent this is a different type of massage rather than your typical Swedish, deep tissue, etc but still great nonetheless. Still not winning me over. the only reason I would give a star is because of its proximity to where I live so it's convenient. it loses points for me because of the way they answer calls to book appointments. I called 2:45 to see if they have a 3:30 available for an hour massage. They said if I can come in at 3pm instead (it was already 2:50 by the time they picked up the call and checked what is available). The passive-aggressive approach is really turning me off instead of just saying today they are fully booked, we only have 3pm available. What's so hard about that?!? It was a little awkward at first since the massage therapist are not speaking in english and by the way expect to have a male massage therapist.. But Gosh he is good! My husband and i loveeeed it! I like this place. The spa is not as good as the more expensive ones, but it is worth the 30 bucks. I like how I don't have to fill out paperwork and don't need to converse with them. They will really move your body around like a chiropractor. I come here once a year or so. read more

While I am more a fan of either deep tissue or Swedish-style massages, Yu's offers a pleasant alternative in a comfortable ambiance. Having received massage/reflexology treatments in China, I'm well aware that some techniques can be painful during the reflexology sessions (therefore showing where dysfunction in the body lies), however none of Mary's applications caused any pain, and in fact the pressure could have been slightly more. Those with lumbar/lower back pain should request a towel be placed under their knees during the foot bath, as lying flat for 15 or 20 minutes while your feet rest in the bucket can cause undo stress and discomfort. I did suggest the bucket be placed on a raised surface to aleviate this issue. The therapist used a variety of techniques to include kneading, compression, and gliding, as well as some shiatsu. Her transitions were smooth, and the hour passed quickly! All in all, this is a lovely little spa, with a friendly staff, and a great value. Cheers! read more

It was very nice that they let us come for a massage at 8 when they closed at 9, however the actual massage was not worth it. This lady in previous massage sessions, left for long periods of time, longer than the other masseuses. Truly amazing. I have been here literally 30+ times since they opened. I have never had a bad massage. If I need to be worked out I ask for more pressure, and if I want to relax I ask for less. They can accomodate. My two favorite: Lilly gives a Killer back massage (she actually stands on your back) Jerry gives an amazing "over-all" massage Some feedback on others comments: 1. for those who say they don't understand, they do. There is always a language barrier when talking to people from other countries, but some of the comments about them not understanding is plain rude 2 For those mad because they can't get an appointent. Call ahead of time. I think it's great for the business that they are busy. You can't always get what you want when you want, that's life. 3. For those who said it's too much pressure. Talk to your therapist. That's the same with any massage you get. You need to let them know how much is too much or when you need more. You have a mouth use it. 4. Illegal? Really? If you're looking for a extremely inexpensive massage (that focuses a lot on the feet) on a relatively short notice, go to Yu's. They are super nice and accommodating (was able to get a couple's massage on short notice with the preferred gender masseuse). The only negative was that they just focused way too much on our feet. read more

I don't frequent many spas and am not used to being massaged. In my experience the setting is calm and peaceful and the employees appear to be well trained and consistent. I have been to Yu's twice now and it was a wonderful experience both times, especially for the price. The rooms are clean and semi private. It is very relaxing and they definitely work the tension areas. I carry a lot of stress in my neck and they focus on pressure points which really seems to help. It was awkward when the massage therapist mentioned for me to undress right in front of her (she did not speak any English) and when I told her I would rather her leave and maybe get a robe or blanket or something she got the girl from the front desk to translate. Also a skeptic, I have to say this was an excellent massage for an unbeatable price. The trouble with massages is that you really need them more often that you can afford to get them-- the $60 bite at most places limits (at least for me) the number of times I can afford to go. So, Yu's provides the answer to this--I can go more freqently and get a better health result than if I went to a traditional massage therapy place. Another thing about traditional massages is that I find I have to go straight home because of all the oil in my hair etc. With a Yu's massage you can do afew more things on the "to do" list before going back home. If I could give this place a zero rating I would !!! I went there with a friend after lunch and didn't really know what to expect. None of the people there are certified massage therapist and they have no idea what they are doing. They didn't ask if I wanted it soft or hard they didn't ask if I had any limitations. Needles to say the Friday before memorial day weekend ruined my weekend. The guy that was my tech that day was so hard my neck and spine are soo sore I am flat on the sofa with severe pain. He also rubbed around my temples so hard they are bruised and a little swollen! Not my idea of great weekend . So it goes without saying they suck, they hurt me.
