Do not go there! I repeat girls don't go there unless you want your eyebrow to look like mine below. I came in asked for a wax upper lip and brow. She asked me if I wanted chocolate and I said no. For background my skin is not sensitive I constantly get waxed without any problems. The issue happened when I felt the thread on my freshly waxed brow! I stopped her but the first move had already been done. I told her you don't thread on freshly waxed brow. She said it was "stubborn hairs" "I told You chocolate only 3 dollars more" lady it's not the point you don't thread freshly waxed brows specially when it was overly hot! Got a Groupon here but they wouldn't honor it and told me to refund it while they match the price. I could understand why but it was very inconvenient because I had to contact Groupon customer service and it took a minute. Other than that, the wax job wasn't the cleanest. Had some stray hairs that weren't picked up and their reasoning was because I didn't choose the chocolate wax (though easier for sensitive skin and thicker hair, it was also $40+ more). Never had a problem with stray hairs or complaining about how thick my hair was at other waxing places. Though the ladies there were kind, they prioritize their sales more than the comfort and experience of their clients. read more

I came across Yuva while shopping on Groupon. It was my first time at Yuva and Wanted to give it a try . I had called to confirm my appt for 7/5 at 12 and after I arrived I checked in and I provided her the Groupon I had purchased. She denied it and stated that they are so busy with appts for the day, they are booked for the rest of the afternoon I should come back and try another day . I was confused as to why it couldn't be used, and now she's busy? But I called her earlier to confirm my apt for 12? So nowwww you're busy in the afternoo? Righhhhht? And then she informs me that there is A promotion for first time and it'll be $39 and she can do the service right now. We spoke about the Groupon and she mentioned she would honor it. So I decided to get the service done. While getting the service, I bought an extra service after she suggested a product. When I was checking out, she denied the Groupon! Not cool. Don't offer your services on Groupon and not honor them. And the Groupon is for a first time user , so not only did they not honor the Groupon, but now I have a Groupon that I will not be able to use since this experience would've been my first time! Bought a Groupon for a Brazilian ($20). First impression upon entering parking lot is parking is sparse. Salon itself looked pretty clean and workers wore masks however, they weren't sanitizing pens used for check-in. The waxing service itself wasn't bad, in fact the woman (whom I forgot her name), did a great job. I did get several pimples afterwards which were followed by a few ingrows.... But that could have been due to outside factors. Reason for 3 stars is this place is too pushy on upselling you. When I called to make an appt the man who answered asked if I bought a Groupon and when I said yes he told me I could cancel it and they could honor that price there- to which I said I'd think about. Once there, my waxer also mentioned the same thing- at least twice. Then she asked me about 3 times whether I wanted to upgrade to a chocolate wax which would have been +$15. She also gave me a quote for a bundle and when I asked again at check out the numbered were different. Won't be going back. read more

I went this salon to get my brows threaded which turned out great. My daughter and I decided to get a henna tattoo last min. Unfortunately my henna turning out horrible once the paint friend and fell off. I am extremally embarrassed by the results and now left with this for the next 2+ weeks. Please do not to henna if you do not know how to do correctly and neatly. I have been getting made fun of since getting this staying "did a 2 yr old draw on your hand" Also to be moted they charged me $25 for this. I would like a refund. They lady was very rude when i called today asking to speak with the manager and when asked what his name was she didn't know but said he would be in tomorrow.
