The bed of rice in my Chirashi was lightly seasoned with furikake seaweed but that hardly made a difference. It was still under seasoned. The sliced fish in my chirashi was fresh, but there wasn't any difference in taste from piece to piece. No amount of soy sauce or wasabi was going to enhance my chirashi. My experience certainly did not lay claim to a "best ever" designation and I've had my share of great sushi.
