4.5 stars I've driven by this restaurant so many times over the years. This was my first time coming here. I had a little breakfast get together with my friends. Such a nice relax atmosphere. We put our order in and the food came out quickly. My friend ordered the avocado toast. Looked amazing. I got the eggs Benedict. I enjoyed my dish, but my poached egg was more on the medium side, than the runny side. I wasn't asked how I wanted my egg. But overall I would definitely be back. It's a nice place to just eat and relax and catch up with friends!

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the options are delicious. They are super busy every time we go,, but worth waiting the 15 to 20 minutes.

After a failed attempt to find this place on a previous visit (thanks, Apple Maps), I finally made it here with a friend for a late brunch. Fair warning: Apple Maps directed me to Z South, which happens to be another excellent restaurant nearby. This time, we did a little exploring on foot and successfully tracked it down. The restaurant has a charming, cozy atmosphere that feels like a neighborhood hidden gem. We headed upstairs and waited a bit before being acknowledged and added to the waitlist. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday afternoon, so patience is definitely helpful during peak times. Once seated, our experience improved significantly thanks to Alma. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. For lunch, I ordered the tuna melt with a Caesar salad, while my friend went with the French dip. Both dishes were satisfying, well-prepared, and generously portioned. Nothing overly fancy here--just quality comfort food executed well. What stood out most was the value. In a time when brunch prices seem to climb higher every month, it was refreshing to enjoy a satisfying meal without feeling like I was paying premium prices. One thing to keep in mind: this isn't a brunch-and-cocktails destination. They don't serve alcohol, so if cocktails are part of your brunch ritual, you'll want to look elsewhere. If your priority is good food, friendly service, and wallet-friendly prices, this spot delivers and is well worth seeking out.

We recently visited for a Father's Day lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The establishment offers ample seating, excellent service, and generous portion sizes. We noted a slight initial confusion due to the proximity of two Z Bar locations; one offers breakfast, while the Z South location is exclusively for lunch. Both locations provide abundant parking, including an extended dining area and outdoor seating options.

Still delicious food. Still an inviting atmosphere. Servers were still pleasant . . . albeit, they seemed heavily tasked. Greeters were cool, but I could read lips when they were walking about. Some not-so-nice things were being said about whomever. We picked "Z" today because they had the Indy 500 on a couple of the bar area TVs. We had a distant peek at only two screens in-between other sports like women's field hockey on a couple other screens. I accomplished what I set out to do; watch a bit of the Indy 500. Mission accomplished. Z-Cafe is a good place to get the Sunday breakfast until 3pm and the lunch option after 11am. They do have a good and diverse menu. Do pay attention to the daily happy hour and daily early-bird specials. I'm not one to complain about much unless it is due. Today it is due. Today revealed some overhead dusting needed on the game kill busts along the walls, and the larger leafed indoor plants were in need of a wipe-down. Also, I went to open the Tabasco that was on the table. The wife looked down at the bottle and cap and was overly impressed by their cleanliness. I did point out to her, that it was a new bottle and the staff failed to remove the plastic "safety" wrapper. Ohhhh!, she said. We attempted to pay our ticket and waited close to 10 minutes before it was picked up. A manager walking the floors should have picked it up. What a great opportunity to make a bit of customer contact. Still a good place to eat. Let's hope it remains that way. By the looks of the crowd, it will. CritDicks

Wow! This place is amazing! Not only is a nice restaurant but the prices for the size of the meal were amazing. I haven't paid this little for a big meal like this since 2000 lol. The place does get busy but the wait was fast. Service was also fast. Their mimosas were delicious! Definitely coming back here again. This is a place to come eat and try all their menu!

Z Cafe What a great place to eat and drinks. Our server Kai M, was amazing. We were a party of 6 and he was super attentive, patient and got everything we needed. We came for breakfast and boy does this place get packed. Come early or prepare to wait. But honestly the wait isn't too long, also it's worth the wait. Our breakfast came out pretty quick for being so busy. And there were no complaints with our breakfast from our table. Thank you Z Cafe for your hospitality and good food. Can't wait to try something different from your menu.

Z Jeanine and all the employees were absolutely fabulous. I love the little hostess. The place was busy and quite loud, but it was decorated great, the food was good, fabulous and affordable. Love the sushi rolls and I love all the paintings that they have hanging on the wall, I don't know if they're for sale but they're fabulous. Located upstairs has an outdoor patio dining area with heaters. We sat inside by the TV's, had a beer. They have a full bar, beer and wine. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Very cool restaurant. Perfect for lunch/brunch! They have a terrace with beautiful seating as well as plenty of indoor tables. Their menu has a wide variety from salads, sandwiches, burgers and even Hawaiian! I ordered the trio which comes with half a sandwich, soup and salad. I went with their tuna sandwich and chicken tortilla soup. The sandwich was very generously made with plenty of tuna and avocado. So fresh and yummy. The salad was good and I appreciated the mixed greens rather than standard iceberg served at most places. The soup was kind of bland in my opinion. Lacked salt and needed some type of spice, maybe some chipotle pepper would've elevated the flavors. My husband ordered the Hawaiian plate with beef teriyaki and he loved it! And for the price you really can't beat it. Their iced tea was really nice too. Service was good. Overall a nice lunch

We sat on the outside patio and it was really nice. My wife had the mushroom provolone burger cooked medium and perfect. Sweet potato fries were a real treat, we all had some of hers. My granddaughter really enjoyed the grilled cheese and the fries were really good too. I had the Hawaiian bowl w chicken but after seeing the burger I kind of wish I ordered that! Our server was very friendly but it seemed really busy like another server or two would have been useful. Will def come back and have a burger and bring the whole family.

Philly cheesesteak sandwich half and fries.

Their French fries are awesome. We shared the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was enough for 2. Recommend go during lulls between peak meal hours for shorter wait. We haven't been able to eat outside yet; however, the view is still nice from the high tops and bar.

Was torn between breakfast or lunch , and glad I chose the breakfast. The French toast with the fresh berries was so delicious. Probably the best I have ever had. I love the artwork that is posted for sale. Service was excellent, especially for table of 12. All of the orders came out correct and all together. We will definitely be back to explore all the menu further.

You get one free bread basket (of 6 pieces) and some olive oil with balsamic vinegar. I found it interesting that they charged $2.50 for every bread basket after, but ultimately I didn't ask for more. The staff was nice and friendly and checked on us enough. I ordered the pasta of the day, a tortellacci pasta with short rib and cheese covered in a cream demi glaze sauce, and my partner ordered the ravioli al formaggio di capra, a goat cheese and parmesan cheese stuffed ravioli with spinach and tomato cream sauce. Upon arrival, my dish looked quite lackluster. It was about 5 pieces of stuffed pasta covered in a beige sauce and dribbled with squares of short rib. There was a thin film over the sauce, which made me think it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a bit, which would have been okay if the food was good. The taste was underwhelming yet a little too salty. I should have taken a picture of the food, but imagine a hamburger helper beef stroganoff colored pasta sauce--bland and tan. My partner described his dish as something that was once frozen, then reheated, as the pasta felt a little undercooked. He says it was "mid" but "not as bad as Olive Garden". Overall, this place seems nice for a few drinks and maybe some apps. It's possible that we ordered their weakest dishes, but I fear I will not be returning to find out.

Having welcomed a newborn just a week ago, my wife and I have been entirely too sleep-deprived and busy to cook. What started as a simple errand ended up being one of the most heartwarming experiences we've had in a long time. When I ordered, Bella at the deli register kindly let me know there would be about a 20-minute wait due to call-in orders, offering me water and fresh bread while I waited. Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. We left feeling truly cared for and look forward to being regular customers for years to come.

It's tucked into a quiet shopping center with easy parking and looks decent from the outside, but the inside was packed and loud enough that we could barely hear each other. The service felt completely indifferent from the start. I had made a reservation and noted that it was for a birthday, but the host didn't acknowledge either. Instead, we got an uninspired, "How many? Two? Follow me." That lack of attention continued throughout the meal. The bar was out of ingredients for my cocktail, so I ended up with an overpriced $14 glass of Zin. Worse, no one mentioned any shortages before we had time to look over the menu. After deciding what to order, my fiancé was told they were completely out of veal--even though veal is the base for around few different entrées. Appetizer: The beef carpaccio didn't match the menu description. When I pointed it out, the server simply brought some cheese to the table. It was just okay, but ultimately the best savory part of the meal. Both entrées were major disappointments. My shrimp scampi had rubbery, overcooked shrimp with okay garlic pasta that I could have made better at home. My fiancé's replacement chicken dish was heavily oversalted, with some pasta and vegetables on the side. The only bright spot was dessert. We grabbed a couple of treats from the display on our way out, and the mini cannoli and lemon gelato cheesecake were both great. Skip the homemade lemon cheesecake, though--it tasted more like barely sweetened yogurt. Overall, between sub-par , missing menu staples, and disappointing entrées, this was not the birthday dinner we were hoping for. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
