She just said, "I'll do it for you". After she cut the nails way too short, she rounded them out AWFULLY. I tried to show her what I wanted and asked if I could show her what I want with the nail filer. she then said to me, "you do it yourself. I'll go do something else and come back later" in an extremely rude tone. first of all, why would I PAY you if you're going to make me do it myself? second, I tried to show her exactly what I wanted but she decided she didn't want to look at it. After basically filing down my nails myself, I told her I'd just paint them at home (I was afraid the paint job would be as horrible as the acrylic filing job). she still charged me full price. I was extremely disappointed in the beyond rude service. I will never be going back here. read more

I am VERY picky about how my nails look and I will only go to Z Nails. I have moved about an hour away but I still go back to Kim to get my nails done. If you want a great pedicure go see Annie, Kelly or Hannah. They have tons of shellac colors and will do shellac on your fingers or toes for a reasonable price. They also have a lot of colored acrylic so your options for artificial nails are endless. I get my eyebrows waxed there and while the room is a simple backroom it is clean and they do a great job at waxing. They listen to how YOU want them done and are very careful to make sure to do them properly. They do a better job than an expensive spa I went to for a fraction of the price. read more

I would give this zero stars if possible The next day I went back to the salon to speak to the manager, Kim, who not only didn't even apologize but refused to give me my money back. I love this salon. They do a good job of making the place nice and keeping you entertained. They're always busy but fully staffed. Because they're fully staffed there will be someone who specializes in what you want. And I like their pedicure stations. I go to Annie for an excellent shellac, I have also had my nails done by Kelly and would again. They take appointments and walk-ins. I never feel like they're talking about the customers like I do at other salons. This is a big reason that keeps me coming back. They're all really nice. read more

Awesome experience! While I have written reviews about other nail salons, I really wanted to find one closer to home. I was not disappointed and so glad I found a place closer to home. Kim, the owner, was so friendly and did an amazing job on my nails and I had an awesome pedi from Lisa who carefully took care of my toes that definitely needed attention from a little ingrown one that had to be taken care of. They had a ton of shellac colors to choose from, the place was really clean and I loved how they decorated. Prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back! read more

I've been here a few times and I've never been truly satisfied with the nail job I walk out with, I only return because it's in my neighborhood. What made me want to write this review was my experience a little while back. It was the day of winter formal at the local high school and although I wasn't attending I still wanted my nails done which was a horrible idea. The salon was filled with girls who needed nails AND toes done therefore everyone was rushing. In my defense, I was there before the rush of girls came in so I should've gotten a decent job right? But no, my acrylics weren't even attached to the end of my nails, so it was as if I had two nails on each finger, one on top of the other and anything that was a little goopy that I touched would get stuck in the gap. Aside from the gaping nails, the shape was just horrifying. I ask for a squoval shape but instead got the fanning out square with round edges. I immediately took them off within the next two days because they were just so ugly and inconvenient. If you're look for a good nail job like acrylics, I would not recommend this place but if you just get shellac done, they won't mess that up. read more

I have had wax jobs in the past that are terribly painful. Not anymore: I just had four areas waxed by Donna yesterday (including lower legs and bikini). I usually go to this place and am pretty happy with the results. Went today for a gel polish and it was awful. She didn't attempt to even out nails at all and didn't put the color all the way down to cuticles. At the end I have a bubble in the gel and a large gap between cuticle & color. When I asked about it she said I need to push back/trim at home. I didn't want them trimmed, they can at least put the color all the way down the nail bed. I went home and filed them and straightened & they look better but fir just having my nails form it looks like I have a week plus of grow out. I won't be coming back. read more

I got french tip acrylics here for prom and the lady was so rough on them i got cuts on almost every single finger really bad on my middle. I can't even believe the ratings this salon has. I came in for a full set and at first everything was okay, then I saw the nails. All different length and when I brought this to her attention she became very agitated and upset. Wouldn't proceed until I looked them over thoroughly. Then when I realized she made one nail extremely hideous I asked her to fix it and she completely lost it. Started screaming and flinging her arms around, EMBARRASSED me in front of everybody and to top it off she refused to fix the nail. Then she painted both hands in about 30 seconds and didn't even clean around the edges. I will never go back. Horrible splotchy color and I have the leaning tower of Pisa for a thumb nail. The services are very cheap, which might have been a sign when I went here to get a pedicure. There were a few red flags during my treatment. I made an appointment for 2 pm and when I showed up there was a line of people getting pedicures, okay whatever its a Holiday, sometimes you gotta just treat yourself. I was seated shortly after I arrived and put my feet in the water that was in the bath. When I looked down, there was a toenail swimming in the water, but alas I journeyed on. the technician made quick work of removing the nail polish, and shaping my toenails. She trimmed them very short on the sides (I have square toes and she shaped them for round toes) and she clipped and removed the side of my left toenail. It was painful, but I thought "you don't do this for a living, maybe that's just a thing they do." Next came the removal of my callouses, she offered a razor, I declined and opted for the pumice stone. It was really worn, like used a bunch of times before it had met my foot. She buffed my heels and then rinsed it in my foot water and put it back on the stand. I should have been worried earlier, but now I was worried. That cannot be sanitary or up to health code. The rest of pedicure was relatively normal, except that I got booted out of my seat since there were so many people waiting. When I got home my toe was sore, and the next working it was sore, red, and hot to the touch. Thankfully I was able to clean it and put some neosporin on it and that seemed to help. So, yeah its really cheap, but that might be at other costs. read more

I've been here before for a eye brow wax and have gotten my nails done. But I went for an eye brow wax just recently and they burned my face. It's been a day since the wax and I still can't leave my house. It looks so bad. She asked me of my face was sensitive after she waxed my eyebrows. Thanks a lot lady, asking me after does me no good. I rarely give a poor review on places of business. I'm just hoping by posting this the owner will take note and make some changes in their business practices. I got my nails done here on May 8th. The lady who did them was nice, she tried chatting a bit, which I feel is important in establishing a working relationship, encouraging return visits for fills and pedicures. Well, she was fast...so fast that I was in and out in half an hour with nails that were misshapen and just terrible! The only redeeming thing about them was the color I chose! Fast forward two weeks, I decided to go to a former nail salon that i used to go too...he, the owner, remembered me! Even though I hadn't been there in years! I just recently decided to get my nails done again...a little guilty pleasure of mine ;) Anyways, he took the polish off and was looking at my nails shaking his head and said, "what a mess". :'( it took him forever to fix that ladies half shod sloppy job. This is only the second time ive ever gotten solar nails and I am much much happier with these than the first ones. I was a walkin and they had a steady strram of walkins all of whom they helped. They even had chairs with videos for kids to watch. They lose a star because I also got my lip waxed and the waxing room is gross, the sheet is covered in hair. NO STAR FOR THIS PLACE PLEASE! My first time was bad. I got shellacs for $25, and I chose a glittery pink color. The only con about it is that is was too CLEAR, you can see through them and see my nails. I expected the pink to cover it.. But I guess not. My nails were misaligned and a sloppy job done on them. They seem like they quickly rush under half an hour for more customers when they could've done better but didn't seem to try hard enough. My second time I had acrylics on to remove and I was going to give them a second chance with shellacs until... I ended up having the same nail lady which seems like she's not the best. She seemed upset knowing I didn't get my beautiful stiletto acrylics done with them so she intentionally showed me. She was roughly taking my nails off, and unfocused because she was talking to the nail technician next to her. She used a tool and went soo deep burning them off that some of my finger nails were hurting so bad. I told her but she just ignored me. I looked and touched a nail that look horribly DENTED which was obvious it wasn't handled with CARE. I told her again but she told me it was 'okay' OK? Ok that you hurt my nails. UH NO THANK U. So I decided no second chance for shellacs this time and left. It was a waste of my money and time being there twice. After those shitty results I went through I'm sure as hell never coming back to this place ever again!!! read more

Z nails has been my place to do nails ever since it opened. I come in as often as I can, but I'm pretty busy so it's probably once a month or every two months. The ladies there know how to take care of their customers. I've had every single lady that work in there do my nails because I am not picky. I'm fine with having a different person doing my nails when I walk in. Their store just got new pedicure and manicure chairs that are to die for! I love the the colorful pedicure chairs the most! I will admit that I time my visit because I know that I want my nails to be done with the best quality. Don't be a hard customer that gives the technicians attitude and tell them what to do because all I can say is "What goes around comes around" These ladies are here to provide a service not to slave over you. I've been going to Z Nails for years and find myself surprised at some of the reviews. Cleanliness is very important to me and I have never found an issue with them not being clean. Sometimes you have to wait when you've made an appointment (never very long) but that's because they are always so busy ... I find that to be a good sign. Love the people that work there, they are so nice and accommodating. I would recommend this business to anyone as I have had such great success in having my toes and nails done there....priced well. read more

Take note I am a licensed nail technician Kim did my nails today, for my wedding. And she was very rushed. As soon as she saw another one of her clients she just seemed to push me through. Didn't take the time to even try and do what I had asked for. I went in today for the first time wanting a pink and white ombré with some rhinestones and a chrome accent nail. So this is how it went. I sit down and she begins taking my previous set off, on my ring finger she took off I would say a good 1/4in of my nail that was attached to my nail bed. (I bled for about 3 min) at this point I knew I should have just got up and left. But because I know shit happens I stay. She put my tips on, shaped them how I wanted and starts applying acrylic. As soon as she's done applying the acrylic I ask her to apply a little more acrylic to the stress point (normally where the tip is attatched) because they Are very long and I know they are week and will break off. She tells me NO. I'm already done with that part I've already filed, if they break before your wedding you can come back to get them fixed. I live an hr from this shop, so there Is no way I would drive back to get them fixed. I would just fix them myself (I have been doing nails for 10 yrs!) So I let it go and ask her is there anyway we can hide the obvious white line across the middle off my nail and she tells me that it is the way it's supposed to be. (Ombres are supposed to be blended and seem less) so I let her finish filing and I go wash my hands. Now that my nails are wet you can REALLY see the distinct white acrylic line. So when I sit back down I tell her something needs to be done about it. Either I need something over it or something to hide it because she wasn't going to put anymore acrylic on. So I asked if she has a chrome we could put on because the mirror affect with hide it a little better. Once again she tells me no. And sends me to go with another lady. Now this next lady was very sweet and she put some rhinestones on my nails for me.. when she was done they did help a little with distraction from the terrible acrylic work, but you can still see the issue. Then to top it off I go up to the register to pay because I have now had a full service and guess what they have CHROME POWDERS after Kim blatantly told me they didn't!!! And she still charged me and my girl (whose nails look just as bad) $95!!!! This was the first time in 4 yrs I have not done my own nails and that's because it's my wedding and I wanted to feel pampered for once instead of doing the pampering. I will never set foot in this salon ever again and I hope to god I can fix these nails over the next 6 days without having to take them completely off and starting over. Overall customer service was terrible Their work was terrible And I had to stop her from using someone else's dirty ass nail file on my nails.
