Short rib (with yummy smoke taste) and shrimp tacos
    Mary K.

A really nice spot for a Mexican food lunch with a lovely outdoor, dog-friendly patio as well as a cute indoor dining area with decent food. Staff was friendly and efficient. We really liked our waiter who immediately brought water for the doggie with our iced teas. They start with a complimentary chips and three salsas. All good and chips were obviously fresh. We hit the taco menu for lunch and tried 4 of the 5. These are good sized and not little street tacos. The Al pastor, sadly, was a miss. Ok but a miss. There was odd seasoning like cloves on it and it was little chunks of meat with pineapple and onion but no cilantro The birria, although greasy, was a hit. Very tasty and tender with a tasty although greasy dipping sauce. The shrimp taco was very good. The short rib had a mixed verdict. One didn't care for it but I really liked it. It had a nice smokey taste and was not greasy. The side of beans and rice we added was yum. Service was great. Our guy was so attentive and helpful. Perfect place for a sunny day lunch in Fallbrook!

Z SOUTH, BONSALL. Look at my plate. Just look at it. Gorgeous and the way it tasted and felt in my mouth, perfection. The chile relleno was beautiful, stuffed with a ton of cheese and very lightly battered. I enjoyed every bite alongside the green chicken enchilada with beans and rice on the side. Exactly what I wanted and beyond my expectations. I sat in the outside patio out front and didn't want to leave. The sun beating on my shoulder paired with the breeze coming from the ocean through the valley, unbeatable. What a perfect location to enjoy this decadent meal with an ice cold tea. The chips and salsa are bomb, too. 3 salsas served with the chips and the green is my favorite. Also, can't forget to mention the phenomenal service: friendly, attentive, and efficient. Ample parking available. You've got to try this place!

There are two sister locations but decided to come here because it appeared less busy. The food was okay. The servers were nice and attentive. The ambiance was nice. I didn't really care of the food but everything else was nice.

Delicious! Service was great too! Matt was our waiter and was very nice at explaining the different dishes as we brought some family hadn't been there before. We made it just before happy hour ended and the restaurant was pretty packed. We were able to get our orders in on time and he even checked back agin before H.H. was over to see of we wanted anything else. Second time we've been there and will definitely be back many more tomes!

OMG this place was DIVINE!!! Best Mex food I can recall in YEARS! Everything was so fresh and seemingly made from scratch and generous and mouth watering. Ambiance was pleasant. Service was great and our cute waiter seemed genuinely joyful. I ordered a combo plate with a tamale and 2 very meaty tacos (I can't eat tomatoes but all items were DELISH sans tomatoes/pico). I haven't had that fresh of tamale masa since I lived in Arizona! Hubby had a huge hunk of carne asada and raved about it. Honestly, the whole experience was so good I joked with hubby that I needed a cigarette afterwards...it TRULY was THAT good. I CANNOT WAIT to go back. It may be a small menu but (so far) every single thing was absolute perfection.

Special of the day, Birria quesadilla

No wait for lunch. The chips and salsa are excellent . they give you three different kinds of salsas, are very tasty. Each one of our entree items ordered was good with the portion size and the taste. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is at lunch Price is no different than dinner as it's all one menu and no option to get vegetables instead of rice and beans.

I was on the hunt for the perfect place to host my rehearsal lunch and found Z South. I ordered the combo plate (crunch beef taco, chile relleno) and my mom ordered the birria taco. Everything was flavorful and delicious! Our service was great as well. I wish Z South was closer to where I live, but we'll definitely be back for the event!

I've wanted to visit this location since before Covid but never got around to it. Finally this year a friend and I were trying to visit as many museums as possible during San Diego Museum Month (February) and when I told him about it he was totally in. I knew from the website that the collection was large but didn't know what to expect. We walked in and bought tickets. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and explained how the museum and the wine tasting worked. He led us over the entrance to the cars and told us about the main building and then told us how to get to the two outbuildings that were part of the tour. The main building has the wine tasting, seating, kitchen, and bathroom. There were some cool artifacts in the building. We were both so impressed by what we saw. THEN...we walked down the path to the garage and our minds were blown! BLOWN! There was some seriously spectacular history in that garage. The cars and the collected fridges, radios, toys, and other items housed there. When we walked up to the third building we were once again stunned at the beauty of the cars and bikes and such there. I would never be able to pick out a favourite because there were just too many treasures. I've been to the museum three times this year because once I mention it to someone they insist on checking it out and I would never say no. The wine tasting was a lot of fun too. They have different types seasonally and all of the wine we drank was pretty good. I bought a couple of bottles. You can bring your own snacks and nibbles to go with your wine. Go. Visit. Check out. Be amazed. Enjoy! Excellent, Deer Park, absolutely excellent!

PRICE TO ENTER When you first enter, you will be in a gift shop/entry area where you pay at the desk. The cost was $14 per adult in April 2026. (Discounts offered for seniors, military and kids). IT NEEDS A REFRESH Overall, I felt the museum needed a bit of a refresh and rebrand. It's tired, dated and a little clumsy and cluttered. The items in the gift shop look like they've been there for decades. There are odd pieces of furniture lying around nestled between the cars along with cardboard stand-ups of Marilyin Monroe and dated photographs. The descriptive signage next to the cars are on the floor and wordy, hard to read. There was dust, dirt and cobwebs in display cabinets. It felt like someone had collected all this stuff, put it on display and then forgot about it. The cars and their paintwork were in great condition and paintwork was dust-free and shiny. It would have been nice to have learned about the owner or the story behind the collection, but we weren't given any brochures and there weren't any docents to ask. BARBIE COLLECTION In one building there's a small room with a large collection of boxed Barbie dolls from years past with a few Barbie cars as well. Again, it all looked a little tired and forgotten. WINE BY THE GLASS OR TASTING We didn't stick around for wine or wine tasting, but there were people there enjoying the patio and live music. There's a refrigerator with charcuterie and cold drinks available for purchase. The vineyards were pretty with roses and benches dotted around. Picnic tables are available out front. Their web site is one page, not terribly informative and again, could do with an update and refresh. Parking is complimentary. If you've never been before and like to seek out new places in San Diego County, stop by for a visit to either the auto museum, winery or both. See my photos attached for more details. Helpful?
