Food is very good and the prices are great. The service is also good. I got a Reuben sub and it tasted fresh. I requested some customizations and the staff followed them perfectly. I haven't been here but I will absolutely stop by to support them. The owner runs a program for local youths where he rewards them for getting good grades. Cash for good grades and opportunities to give back by tutoring their peers and younger students. He's making a huge difference in their lives and bringing up the community. I love Zack's. It is one of my go-to deli/ sandwich spots in the area. I haven't stopped coming back since my first time, they are the best. The owners are so friendly and they know my family's order by now. It is clean inside and they are efficient and kind. We always get a vegetarian sub with all the veggies and they always make it so delicious, filled, and perfectly dressed. They are so nice and give us extra veggies. We also order the chicken California sub, grilled chicken, and Italian. All have been delicious. They have great bread, cheese, fresh veggies, good meats, and they definitely make all their sandwiches with love. I've even gotten sandwiches catered from them before -- they are awesome and totally worth it. They also have a good beverage selection in the cooler, lottery, other deli classics, and breakfast. I lived in Manalapan growing up and this deli was always the place to be on a Sunday morning. They serve some of the best egg sandwiches in the area, and definitely have the best prices. I haven't found any other place where you can get a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for under $5 Everyone who goes in gets a warm welcome. I will not eat the food from Zack's Deli. I went in to order a sandwich and watched as the counterman tried to open a fresh sleeve of deli meat with a knife. The knife slipped and hit the floor. The deli worker picked up the knife and wiped it off with the dirty rag he also had used to wipe the counters with. He then threw the knife back on the counter. There was no attempt made to wash the knife or his hands. Will you get sick because of these practices, I do not know but I do not want to find out. Too many other choices for food in the area to take a chance. read more

Great prices. Great service. None of it tastes fresh, except for the bread. The meat tasted old. Pork roll had no taste, smelled odd, and was gray. Had to throw it out. Italian sub tastes off. i have been a very frequent customer here for the last 6 years. i dont know if management changed in the last month or two but the bacon lettuce and tomatoe sandwitvhs are conoketly over loaded with grease the salad is soggy, it doesn't taste fresh and the tomato that was out was soggy and made the sandwitch even more wet. i really used to enjoy coming here but they need to grt their stuff together its pathetic to charge 6$ for bacon lettuce tomato and bread and not even be able to make the sandwich read more
