This is my favorite restaurant in Key Largo. The food is very good. Additionally, the interior of the restaurant is fairly dark and usually pretty quiet, which I like. There's usually no loud music or guests. The food is spicy though. I usually order mild items, and I'd reccomend doing the same if you don't like spicy food. read more

The Rajasthan Korma was heavenly! I always order mild because I don't like hot spices but the intricate beautiful mix of spices in this dish made me need to really concentrate so I could taste all the tastes in it. I got mine with Lamb and of course that was an extra bonus in taste. What a phenomenal hidden GEM of a restaurant in Key Largo. It will not be my last time eating at this extraordinary restaurant! It was our first time here, so we sampled a few dishes, and they were all top-notch. Everything is made fresh to order as authentic as you can get. It is a family run business where you can taste the love of their work, lamb chops or phenomenal, the mushroom plate and the chicken all delicious. I'm so lucky that they are in my neighborhood. Absolutely incredible food and even better people! My fiancée and I were in Key Largo for the weekend doing food tastings for our upcoming wedding, and on Friday night we decided to have dinner at Zaika Key Largo Indian Cuisine. We are so glad we did! Our dinner was absolutely delicious--we had an incredible hogfish dish--and while we were there, we had the opportunity to meet and speak with the owner/chef, Ganesh, and his wife, Kim. We mentioned that we were planning a multi-day wedding in Key Largo and were looking for someone to cater one of our Indian-themed wedding events. Ganesh immediately invited us to come back the following day so he could put together a tasting for us. We returned Saturday and ended up spending several hours with Ganesh and Kim while Ganesh prepared dish after dish for us to try and helped us come up with ideas for our wedding menu. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious, but what really made the experience special was Ganesh and Kim themselves. They are genuinely wonderful people, and we had such a great time talking, laughing, eating, and getting to know them that by the end of the evening, it honestly felt like we had made two new friends. The entire experience was above and beyond anything we expected. The food was outstanding, the hospitality was incredible, and Ganesh and Kim made us feel completely at home. Needless to say, we will absolutely be using Zaika for our wedding event! Zaika will also now be a must-stop for us anytime we are back in Key Largo. If you are looking for amazing Indian food made by people who truly care about their food and their guests, I cannot recommend this place enough. Don't let the casual atmosphere of the small restaurant on the side of the highway fool you, the food here is mouth watering. It was no surprise there were already people waiting when we got there a few minutes before opening and the place filled up fast. Service was prompt and friendly. We wanted a change from the typical Chicken Tikka dishes we go for so we got the Malai Kofta to pair with the Naan and we had no regrets. The Biryani was also very flavorful and fulfilling. One of the best service to be had in this restaurant . Standalone building on the highway but very upscale inside. Slightly on the expensive side but worth every penny. The taste was superb. I live really close to Zaika. Last night, I went with a group of friends and we all tried different items. Everything we had was very good. We started with chicken wings and shrimp appetizers. They arrived extremely quickly. Service was crazy attentive even though the restaurant was packed. As our group was all adults, we were carefully seated away from the table with children. Cudos for this! The butter chicken was yummy! I had the lamb kebobs. The portions were generous and a couple of us took leftovers home. I've had a LOT of Indian food, it's one of my very favorite things to eat, and let me say right up front: best I have ever had I had here!! Cute building right at the turn back to the mainland, we spotted this place when we came up from Islamorada for some errands and immediately researched to see if it was open. I added it to Yelp because I realized it wasn't yet on here and they need the exposure - what a find!! Super friendly folks, lovely inside with a really nice ambiance and gold stainless dinnerware. First course was millagutuwani soup (see menu pix!) and it was incredible! We also ordered bullet naan & raita - fresh, hot & delicious! 2nd course was Chennai style mussels in coconut garlic sauce - I cannot even put into words how good this was. Best preparation of mussels I've ever had. Next we had the Bindhi (okra) and the neelgiri korma with goat - see all my pictures, these were beautifully presented and unbelievably good. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the food - it is 100% top notch and prepared to order and could not possibly have tasted better. After a long week of back-to-school routines and adjusting to the traffic, it was such a treat to unwind and enjoy some comfort food on a Friday night. Indian cuisine has always been my go-to, whether it's fancy or simple, and this spot did not disappoint. I was thrilled to see this building repurposed into a restaurant, especially one that's so conveniently located near KLS--within walking distance, no less! The food was absolutely delicious, and though our server was clearly new, she was sweet and attentive. I also appreciated the beautiful plates and hefty cutlery, which added a touch of indulgence to the experience. I can already tell this is going to be a regular spot for either lunch or dinner. Best Indian food I've had in ages! Four of us stopped in tonight and found a table easily at 6pm. We had yummy (slightly spicy to the Cuban-American in our party) samosas and another appetizer made with crispy grouper cheeks! Yes I wrote upper keys or as soon as you drive into Key Largo. I pass this restaurant daily as I go and come from work. And promised myself I would stop by to see what was on their menu. So I ordered basic option to start, as i know if the Chicken Biryani with Raita is not right, then the rest of the menu is a failed! Well my friends, the Chicken Biryani was a Super hit! I thoroughly enjoyed the aromatic seasonings and fried onions used throughout the rice and chicken dish. I also ordered Gajar Halwa (sweet carrot pudding). I normally make this often, but Zaika's at Key Largo sweet dish reminded my daughter of Laadu, which we both love and miss having after our dinner or special occasions. Ohhh did I mention their menu is 100% HALAL! Super excited that I found an Indian restaurant in the Miami or Upper Keys areas where I would have to just order seafood, but now I have tasty meat options to choose from. Thank you chef, servers and managers for having great flavor, great hospitality and a well variety choices of a menu! This wonderful Indian restaurant opened while I was out of town, so I was anxious to try it. Well, last night a friend and I had dinner there and it was amazing! We're not big eaters so we each ordered an entree and shared the garlic naan. Our server, one of the owners, brought us wine glasses by the stem, and opened the bottle of wine I brought. They do not have their liquor license yet so you can bring your own wine, which I love! I forgot to take pictures, but here is what I recommend - both the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Rogan Josh were absolutely delicious! My friend even took some home with her!
