This unassuming cafe/restaurant u would probably miss and walk past in the busy strip mall where it's located . But u certainly won't regret once you been in and tried their food. The quality of food and the price is totally unbelievable. I paid $11 for a Chicken Paratha roll and a Sweet Lassi, and this is in Hillcroft!! The Roll was packed with flavors and fresh, the lassi was just right in sweetness and consistency. It's in the same strip mall where Himalaya and London sizzler is located but Zaika stands out on its own. So if u passing through Hillcroft this is a place you must certainly swing by. read more

I used to love this place and come all the time. Today I came In with my friend (non Indian) to invite her to try Indian food. We ordered samosas and puffs and the food was great. As we were leaving I got up to pay and my friend was still sitting...after paying, before my friend could even get up, the South Indian counter guy told her "hey make sure you clean your own plates and throw out your trash" I replied "she hasn't even stood up yet, and yes we can read the MULTIPLE cheap signs everywhere to clean up, but that's rude as she hasn't even stood up". Mind you he wasn't doing ANYTHING!!!! Not a single customer in the restaurant. I mentioned that to him also and said it was very rude. Ordering by phone was simple and easy. They were very helpful and offered suggestions. The packaging was solid (no spills!). The food was delicious. Just like karahi should be. They're generous with the meat quantities. The garlic naan was delicious even when consumed hours later. Will definitely order again. read more

We were pleasantly surprised the first time we stopped in to this little mini cafe with the extremely flavorful chicken boto roll and the potato filled patties. DAAAAAAAYNNNNG they were popping with flavor! The pricing is extremely affordable too. The lady at the counter I'm assuming who was the owner was very gracious, helpful and friendly which was an added perk. Saag paneer is authentic and delicious--ask for extra spicy. Paneer tikka masala was a bit thin and one dimensional for my taste, but everything else that I have tried is excellent. I am giving a 4 star because i like their roti and chicken kadai. They are consistently good. However today i order their leg pieces (4 for $12) deal and was highly disappointed by how burned and black they were, not only that I couldn't even chew the little bit of the chicken that was not burned because it was so dry. I ordered 2 mango lassi and a Kashmiri chai, the first time I got the mango it was good but this time it wasn't drinkable. After the lassis came the lady told me they're no longer serving the chai, so i replaced it with their sweet lassi. It was super nice of her! I liked it better than the mango but it's more on the liquidy side. I'll be back to try more food tho! read more

Ive been to this place several times for their Kashmiri chai And recently went again to try their food. Their Kashmiri chai is really good and I would recommend it. I wish they had different sizes because it's not big enough. The entrees we had were vegetable korma masala and chicken haleem with naans. Both dishes tasted so good and homemade. Also not as greasy as other places. My favorite was the korma masala it had such a good taste. We also ordered two chicken samosas and they were very good as well. Everything here tasted homemade. I am shocked that this place had bad reviews from the start. It appears to be a family owned restaurant and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this place for their good food and the prices are super affordable. We will be coming back for sure to try more dishes! read more

I ordered food from here and liked it. I went back for a second time, but the lady messed up my order. She gave me salty lassi instead of sweet. I went back in and told her it was salty instead of sweet, and she didn't even try to fix the order for me. I was basically told I was wrong and that nothing could be done about it. If you open a business, you need to know that the customer comes first. You please the customer, EVEN if the customer is wrong! However, I had 5 people in the car with me who all heard me place the order. I drove 30 miles to get food from this place, but I won't be going back again. Really good hole in the wall kinda spot. I ordered butter naans, boneless chicken qorma, dhaal fry, 2 pieces of the leg and thigh tikka and 2 chicken puff pastries. All came to about $35. The food was fresh and had great taste. The best thing about it all was.. the packaging. For someone that takes a lot of Pakistani/Indian food to go/pickup, the packaging was nice and clean. All the side sauce and the qorma and dhaal were saran wrapped and tightly sealed tops. That might not sound like much to some people. But once I literally threw my food away because of sloppy and oily packaging. The place seemed new with not much furniture yet. I just hope they don't change their quality in attention to detail. This is a hidden gem and you cannot beat the prices for how great the food is... Its not much to look at inside and has very limited seating hence being a "to go" restaurant, but the staff is lovely and very helpful. Afshan was very sweet to me and my boyfriend and helped us pick some items we hadnt tried before. The food, on god, is so GOOD. Every single thing we have tried here ( and we have ordered a few times before) is absolutely delicious! The meat is perfectly grilled and marinated with so much flavor. The chicken is so tender and falls right off the bone. Their daal is one of my favorite items, its just the classic no nonsense daal you would want to eat if you are craving it. All the breads and chutney are great, and the quality is very consistent. This is a no frills dining experience, I recommend picking up and running home immediately to eat your food while its still piping hot. They pack up everything really well and dont serve any beef here so that is a plus if your diet restricts it. Ten out of ten! read more
