I'm very proud of this discovery in the middle of nowhere, close to Hillcroft and the Sub-continental South Asian communities. In my experience most continents are sub-continents. That's why Barbie makes so much money. When Barbie wears her sexy pink tops here and guys say "which brand is that?" while pointing at her boobs as if that's not the point of the point, she says "Ha, Bebe." I looked up places that had Boti and Karahi and this came up, with almost no reviews. We went here on a whim, which is weird because I thought we went in a car, and I have no idea what a whim is, or whose whim we borrowed because neither of us owns one. But it worked out amazingly. This is Pakistani food at its very best. It really Pak's a punch. Ha. Ha. Incomparable value and taste. Oily delicious karahi and wonderful chicken booty. I mean Boti (apparently predictive text is horny). When Misses Rexha, Buell, and Neuwirth give up their day jobs to become stand up comics, they perform here at Cafe HaBebe. Everything they serve is delicious and the prices are bargain-basement. They also have the most wonderful owner, and really friendly service and very cheap pool and table football. We like that no matter what meal we get, no matter what drinks we get, whether it should add up to $20 or $25 or $30, we always go up to pay and he always says "twenty dollars." I get the feeling if I asked to buy the entire store and the pool table too, he'd say "twenty dollars." It's become an in-joke. Sort of like Barbie's less-endowed clients are in-jokes. For about 30 seconds and $300. If Barbie is here slipping off her shoes and turning on the other diners (and believe me, she does, and she does), then it's Cafe Hateaseme. It gets better. It gets so much better. Because if you're looking for Houston food at midnight or 1am, now you finally have a delicious destination right off I-69 (known in Houston as 59) because this place is open till 12 or 1 or 2 every single night of the week (they don't seem to know their closing time, it varies depending on how busy it is, but we've never found them closed anytime before 2am). It's an absolute godsend for people who want late night delicious, authentic, Indo-Pak food. It's extremely cheap as well. Not exactly healthy but then neither is your relationship with your father. When Barbie pretends she's going home with me after curry, and then leaves with some other big dude, you could say she Cafe Haleadsme on. It should also be noted that the prices for playing the awesome, fun games is basically nothing. It's essentially free. You can't get much better than that. I mean nothing costs only $0.25 or $0.50 anymore - but these games do. And you'll get a lot of joy out of them like we do. If you're very lucky you might even get to watch Barbie playing them. If not, just catch her movies on pay per view. And if they charged $100 per curry, they'd he Cafe Hagreedy. Or if they were zero dollars, it'd be Cafe Hafreebie. If they sold marijuana they'd be Cafe Haweedy. And when I take Barbie here, it's Cafe High-heeli. I was gonna make another bad joke but that'd make this review even more Cafe Hacheesy. read more

The food here is so delicious! The staff is nice and helpful if there's a question about the menu items. The tea is strong and delicious and the dish that I got was spicy but not overwhelming so I was able to enjoy ALL of it. There was a patron there who was eating some type of pastry, I forgot the name but I asked him what it was and he just bought one for me so even the customers are super cool! The pastry was yummy btw. This is just a must go lunch spot. read more

Simply, the best. The food tastes better than most of the bigger Pakistani restaurants and is cooked perfectly. The prices are very, very reasonable. And it's open super late at night. The owner is the friendliest of people. It doesn't get any better than this little gem. read more

I like the masala chai - tea they serve here. I drove all the way from the west of houston to have tea here and found this place closed... even tho as per yelp the opening timing is 3pm on Sunday. To much light pollution in the sky. This place should get no stars. They got their own community that goes there because, their food is just terrible. The cooks and cashier take offense if you ask them to cook the meat well done. I regret going there out desperation cause I needed to get naan kebab craving out. read more

Came here last night after my flight from Boston with my father. The place was absolutely incredible. If there is a reason for me to move to Houston from Boston, this would be it. Despite really wanting to dislike this place, I actually loved it. I'm from LA, traveling to Houston for work and had a long day so dinner options were limited. I hoped on yelp and cycled through my options. Goat masala really sounded like the answer to all my problems so I power walked to my rental car and cruised over to the sketchiest little strip of convenient stores and restaurants; one being this glorious cafe. The barren soon to be oasis had a sizable dining area but only a group of 3 older gentlemen playing chess serving as patrons. I walked up and ordered my goat with a side of samosas. I was horrified when I was told that they were not selling rice at the time, despite the fact that a freshly made plate with a mountain of jasmine was hiding just behind the man taking my order. He saw that I had seen the rice, nothing happened. At this point I was feeling prematurely remorseful with the location, decor, and service falling short of my considerable appetite's expectations. I handed the man my plastic and he charged me a round figure of $19. Although it was well past 11pm and I was feeling the fatigue from a long day at the office I somehow remembered to ask for an accompanying spice factor for my meal. A small styrofoam container was filled with a greenish thickish sauce, more on this later. Back in my car I plugged in my addy and cruised over it my home for the week. Ran upstairs, locked the doors, jumped out of my clothes and switched on the tv-- sweat FRIENDS is on. I proceeded to rip open the bag and and assemble my spread. The food was PIPING hot so I didn't feel bad getting out of bed to grab that San Peli I stashed in the fridge earlier. I wasn't given any utensils to eat which I, at the moment, thought was the final straw. Still, I knew I had to continue, so became proficient in using naan as my tool to shovel in the goat masala into my mouth. The food was amazing. Everything was amazing. I have never had better naan, and the samosas were very tasty. The fore-mentioned green sauce was spectacular; full of spice and flavor without the extreme heat. I am a happy customer. read more

I love hole in the wall places and that's exactly what this is, their kitchen is open you can see everything they doing, do not go for the looks of the place. So far I have tried aalo keema, daal chawal, aloo ghost and bhuna kaleji it was all SOO good, my fav was kaleeji I loved it so much I kept asking for it.
