While waiting in the small waiting area I heard someone coughing in the back and thought "OMG I hope that wasn't over my food." I noticed a customer who came did not speak English. I thought "hmm I guess this place has food authentic enough that it reminds them of home." From first appearance, the restaurant is unimpressive. The tiny waiting area did not inspire me to think that great food was awaiting me. But, my food was ready in 15 minutes. I ordered the Saag Paneer, and a garlic and butter Naan. From the 1st bite of the Paneer I knew it was a winner! The taste was smooth and silky, I tasted familiar herbs taking me back to my first experience many many years ago. I tried the garlic and butter Naan and they were OK, hot just as expected. I didn't give 5 stars because of the cramps waiting area and lack of aesthetics. We had a plane to catch later that day, so were elated to find that they were serving a buffet lunch, i.e. no long wait to order food and wait for it to be prepared and brought to our table, as happened at Aga's the last time we went---a whopping 30-45 minute wait! A tell-tale sign of good things in any Indian restaurant: the large venue was 90% full and we were the only folks NOT from the Indian subcontinent or Middle East! The buffet was actually high quality, including two goat dishes which we loved. (All too often, Indian buffets are exclusively chicken and vegetarian, both very meh but undoubtedly cheaper for the restaurant.) Servers were gracious, lovely and attentive young women...there was nothing not to like! Will definitely come back next time I'm visiting Houston. Would be curious to try their regular menu. Overall I'd say their food quality was very close or equal to that of Aga's. And of course, being a buffet, you can have much more of it if you like. Everything was good: appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. Lastly, there was plenty of parking, another plus vs Aga's which is in a strip mall with lots of surrounding businesses so you have to hunt a bit to find a spot, and usually not very close by.

The staff are also extremely courteous, informing us each time we call about what's available that day and about new items. Dishes we always get are the chicken curry, avial and parotta. The chicken curry literally tastes like magic. The flavor is one I've yet to taste elsewhere, with perfect seasoning and spice and a luscious and creamy gravy. The avial is a tangy dish with a generous amount of mixed vegetables all coming together cohesively. All these dishes are tied together by the soft and oh-so-easy-to-tear parottas. Overall, Ghazal is a destination we will keep returning to!

What surprised me was their chicken. The chicken inside the Tikka Masala was a little dry, but their tandoori chicken was definitely juicy and flavorful. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries. I would give this another try --I'd likely try a few other trucks first or at least have something to accompany my meal in addition to what I order from Krave.

With Labela, it doesn't feel like you're going to another Pakistani restaurant- it feels like you're going to specifically eat lasbela. They are solidly in my top 3 Pakistani restaurants in Houston. Arranged a baby chair for my baby. We had nihar and samosa bites,their serving size are huge and prices aren't bad either. Definitely recommend.
