In the middle of nowhere north of Sacramento on your way to Redding, there is an exit that puts you right out at a Shell station with a mini mart. I went in and was expecting it could be a display full of chips, Funyons and beef jerky. What's up Lauren behold they had a seriously styled up deli with sandwiches, soup and a bunch of other stuff. The place smelled so delicious. If I had more time I would have stopped to eat but this is now on my radar for my next drive up the state. read more

Stopped specifically for gas and restroom. Restroom was a disaster! Filthy in every aspect. No toilet paper HOLDER, but three giant rolls of paper on the handicap grab bar. There was a paper towel dispenser, but it wasn't filled with the three rolls on top of it. Graffiti on every surface possible except the toilet. Food was available in the mini mart but I certainly didn't wasn't going to chance eating there! Unleaded gas price posted yesterday on I-Exit app was $1.00 less than the price today. I know prices change but sometimes suspect prices aren't updated in a timely manner to get customers. read more

I don't know if it's fair to give this place a low rating just because you feel that it looks a little weird or creeps you out a little. This is a small-town America type of place, without the glittering lights of a fancy roadside restaurant and gas station. But I grew up going to places like this, so perhaps I am a little nostalgic about places like this. We stopped by recently while returning from a trip to Redding. We didn't need gas, but wanted to find a little place to pick up some snacks and drinks. The simple exterior and gravel parking lot appealed to us, so we pulled in. The two workers at the desk were friendly, clean, and not creepy at all. They chatted with our kids about their vacation while we browsed through the market. We noticed that they offer freshly-prepared panini sandwiches, which we contemplated ordering, but we already had sandwiches packed for our trip. There is a single bathroom, which was cleaner than expected for the building that houses it. The gas was a little more expensive than down in Woodland or farther up the freeway, but it's not unreasonable either. So if you're looking for a little break along I-5 and don't want to deal with crowded restaurants and big rigs belching diesel fumes in the parking lot, you might like this place. And if you're lucky, you'll find a couple kittens resting in the bushes, just like we did. read more

This small, remote gas station store gets a bad rep mostly because it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's actually quite a nice place! The store is much nicer than a typical gas station shop, mostly because it's the town's only place to buy food somewhat nearby. The employees are polite and very helpful if you ask for assistance. What makes the store really different than the rest is the fact that they actually make food. The Zamora mini mart makes sandwiches an milkshakes by hand too, and they're really good. Its a much better alternative than eating a bag of cheetos or. a microwavable burrito or something gross like that. They also have an expresso machine next to the soda fountain that actually works surprisingly well. It seems a little sketch at first, but hey! Get over the location. This place was awesome. I can't speak for the gas but we stopped for some water and to let our dog stretch his legs. First off it's a cute little mini mart with everything you could need to stock up for the rest of your road trip. It's also got a little free library in front which I thought was so awesome! They have a bathroom as well which is open during business hours. The man working there saw me out side with my dog and asked if we'd like a free hot dog for him! He was super nice. The mini mart is very clean and fully stocked. Out side they have a nice little grassy area with a tree and a few picnic tables. All in all great little place to stop and stretch. read more

She didn't ask for it to be hot until after they made and wrapped the sandwich. Then the next 2 retards that came in out there nose in someone else's business!! Pros: It's the only place for gas for miles around, so nice place to stop if running really low. It also has a nice selection of snacks. Cons: Gas prices are really high compared to other stations just 20 miles away. The pumps are fairly antiquated. I had to try a few times to get the handle to auto fill. The grounds also need a bit of cleaning up. Went inside to get a coffee and the there wasn't much for options. Very basic. All in all, I would only stop if I was running low on gas and wasn't going to make it to the next station. read more

Great stop to pick up a sandwhich on the way to winery. Too bad the employees are not only rude but incompetent. They forgot the avocado and bacon. Sliced sourdough was dry and likely old. When we asked if our order was ready, they told us to look at the ticket like they could not be bothered to call our name or be friendly. That was today. Sunday April 7th. My husband and his parents have been eating at this deli for well over 20+ years and it's always been delightful but today unfortunately one of the female staff members a middle-aged Caucasian woman ( seems a little assertive to mention this but I need the point to be made for the fact that there was two different woman working this morning one of them excellent the other very opposite. ) seemed to not be in the best mood and handled her service performance very poorly her attitude alone is enough for me not have a sandwich made here again. although I know this business is wonderful I can't help but feel appalled by the service she provided. A simple blt was mistakenly made and when I asked for it corrected I got a rude remark and a much lesser quality sandwich remade. I thanked her anyways and was ignored with a 27 cent refund for the added ingredients that was mistakenly added and charged at a higher rate then my refund. Which I let be due to not wanting to deal with her once again.. in these hard times I know service providers are troubled with being understaffed and I myself have been a server and I know the battle with ungrateful customers but I can't help but feel she was snotty and rude and it all could of been handled better. As people are fighting to find and keep quality employees this last year I'd hope the owners here would see this post and at least sit this woman down and remind her that the locals of Zamora are here to support the business but not under these standards. read more

This gas station and store have a lot to offer compared to the big pilot gas station down the road. The store is smaller and they have less pumps but much better food than any other gas station. Instead of prepackaged old sandwiches that were made somewhere and shipped to the store, this place makes your sandwiches right in front of you. You choose the the meat, bread, and toppings. It taste great too. I prefer it over subway. And lets not forget the delicious milkshakes! What other gas station market makes a homemade milkshake. Its a small store but many options for drinks and snacks too. They also have tables inside and outside so you can eat it there before getting back on the road. I enjoyed all the space outside to walk your dogs and you know how much your dogs need a break from a long road trip. The other person that wrote a review said it was outdated but I think the decor is retro. All 80's style pictures on the wall and train set against the back wall. It is a family owned small business. The employees are nice and helpful as well. If you live in Woodland or are just driving through, I would definitely give this place a try. read more

As far as gas stations go, this one exceeds most. I've often stopped there for lunch to enjoy fresh made sandwiches and real milkshakes . The bathroom seems to have been redone recently and was very clean. They have plenty of seating outside for when the weather is nice. I'm not the biggest fan of mini markets but stop here frequently. read more
