    Sad Steak Tacos

This place is pretty good but half the time you come in you get a worker who skimps you on protien im not sure why. It saves them 50 cents and in return gives you a bad experience and makes you not want to come back. My tacos were so small today we were laughing about it after we left. Could have said something but I shouldnt have to its awkward. Workers just need to do better

Great service!!! Friendly staff!!!!!! Food was amazingly fresh and tasty!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Was really eager to try this place and it did not disappoint! But here's the thing - you have to order the right entree to just hit the spot! Took this seriously when a foodie friend steered me in the right direction. Here's my go-to order (as was his): Yakisoba bowl with chicken, all the veggies, extra jalapeños, and their "secret" TIGER sauce. If you love spicy food, this is the exact order for you! Unfortunately for me, this order hits the spot EVERY. FREAKIN. TIME so I get scared venturing out from this! The location is clean, friendly employees, and inviting.

Josie was awesome! This place was so clean! All the employees were so helpful! And best part the food was so fresh and amazing!

This is one of my favorite fast-food places in Utah! Everyone already knows that they are essentially the Asian Chipotle (but they actually let you customize your order...)! They have so many different options when it comes to how you want your plate put together. You can get a salad, a rice bowl, noodle bowl, veggie bowl, wrap, tacos & soup! You really can't go wrong with anything you get from here - everything is so fresh and you can taste the difference! I always go with a bowl with half rice & half yakisoba noodles, steak, all the veggies (I miss the potato veggie option - it really made the bowl extra filling and delicious) and the Zao way for the garnish toppings. If I'm eating in the restaurant I will get the tiger sauce (which is the teriyaki sauce, chili paste & aioli mixed) but if I'm taking it home I will put on my Yum Yum sauce (which is essentially Asian fry sauce). : Locations all over Utah Healthy Fast Food Option Utah Asian Chipotle Kid-friendly House-made drinks Meals from $9-$13 Follow me for more of the best food in Utah! I love Zao especially for a quick and inexpensive lunch! The chicken with yellow curry sauce is my favorite. I LOVE the noodles, both chao mein and rice noodles! The veggies are yummy and the corn and pickles onions and daikon are especially delicious little bits of sweetness. I've ordered in store and to go and both were very fast and easy! The restaurant has been clean and quick every time I've been in. Definite recommend for a quick bite!

Chicken bowl for catering 6-8 people

My wife said Zao had catered for a conference event she attended, and that it was not bad. So I decided to try it for myself and see what all the buzz was about. The restaurant itself is clean, chic, comfortable, and not a bad spot for lunch if you're in the area. All the bowls are customizable to suit your meal needs. There is also a nice variety of meats that choose from. Regarding the catering experience, I ordered the big bowl that serves 6-8 people. The employees here are great communicators and got my order exactly right: chicken bowl with teriyaki sauce on the side. The tastes and portions were quite good, with lots of vegetables on the side to go with the protein. I was a little disappointed they did not pack as much peanuts and fried onion cuz they're both delicious. My only complaint is that the proportion of rice to protein was a little off. There was not enough protein--just enough to barely justify the price. Besides that Zao is awesome, and I would do catering with them again for small events.

Our family LOVES Korean food! This restaurant offers most of the Korean favorites that you cook…read moreover a tabletop grill. What we ordered: Beef & pork bulgogi, shrimp, kimchi, vegetable pancake, noodles, gochujang, cucumber kimchi, potato dish, vegetables and tteokbokki. As we are very familiar with Korean food, the dumbed down-Americanized menu was a bit confusing. For example; japchae is just listed as "noodles" where some of the dishes were listed with Korean names. It would be helpful to list both. There also should be an indication for spice levels, like adding a chili pepper next to tteokbokki. We really enjoyed the food we ordered. Our favorite was the tteokbokki. Our least favorite was their version of japchae (it wasn't sweet and only came with onions.)

So far we've come twice and the second time we got there a little late (came from slc) and they let us stay and cook and eat even after closing and we were so grateful. Service can be a bit slow but she one server is sooo nice. I think it's only one server/hostess and one cook. It's definitely worth it. We love the japchae, the kimchi, the potatoes and ofc the meats. I'm picky about how sweet meat marinades can get but their short ribs are probably one of my favorites I've ever had. The other time we came it was on a weekday and it was us and one other family so I hope that this place gets as busy and popular as some other overhyped ones in the area

We were charged as two adults, despite no one ever asking my nephew's age. Had the staff asked, the mistake could have been avoided entirely. What made the situation worse was what happened afterward. Once we paid, the employee who processed our bill repeatedly pressured us to leave a tip. I declined because the bill was already much higher than expected, and she seemed visibly unhappy with that response. When we later called to discuss the overcharge, we were told that it was our responsibility to inform the waiter of my nephew's age. No apology was offered, no refund was provided, and no attempt was made to resolve the issue. We were simply told to send an email. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have been overcharged at this restaurant. Mistakes can happen, but the complete lack of accountability, customer service, and willingness to make things right is what was most disappointing. Customers should not have to argue over incorrect charges, nor should they feel pressured to leave a tip. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment.
