Selection is minimal. Small space. It's always uncomfortably warm in the store, especially the dressing rooms. It's not a great experience to be sweating while trying on clothes clothes, not to mention unsanitary. Bald guy working the cashier 6/03/2023 afternoon was perhaps the most ridiculous customer service experience I've had yet. I went to return these pants I purchased as-well as a tie, Right off the bat the employee was on the defensive. Questioning if I wore the pants, where I wore them, and for what occasion. Then he decided to go on a rant about if the pants were washed or not, to which I replied no, and he just kept calling me a liar and commenting on my "lying," body language. He kept telling other associates that I lied about washing them, and that he could tell I did wash them because they looked smaller. He stated that they cannot process the return if they're washed because they then look smaller?! So then I replied okay I didn't wash them after only wearing them once, and he then started going on a rant about how I was dirty for not doing so. Clearly this man is deranged, and has no idea about how to be respectful to customers. The pants were in as new condition, and they were just not comfortable. So now if you buy clothes from Zara under no circumstances you can't return them, only if they're brand new and in original packaging. Might as-well say they don't have a return policy to begin with. The staff never greets or even speaks to you when you walk in there. It's just dark and depressing. And I wish they'd have more people on cash point. There's usually only one (or two people if it's really busy). I know places are short staffed, but management needs to allocate people around the store better. read more

Had a very horrible experience as a former manager and employee of Zara . I was carrying my gym bag around the store because I work out daily downstairs at Golds gym. I had a few mins to spare before my Uber arrived to 7th & Fig. This Filipino man stopped me and ran after me pointing to a picture of a dress that he claimed I stole. Since I knew I was being profiled I watched as they took everything out of my bag. They never found anything obviously. The security guard came over from the Men's Store also looked through my things and told the associate there was nothing in my bag. The associate never apologized, he just stood there smug and was smiling. I told the Men's store manager I felt like I was being profiled because I am a black woman and I currently work luxury retail. I told the store manager, the associate obviously had me mistake with someone else but wouldn't back down. Horrible customer service the fact he knows he won't be reprimanded. Beware! - long time customer complaint. I've been buying clothes at Zara for the past 10 years. I thought that they were a reasonable and well priced product, until my recent experience when I purchased three pairs of shoes a Zara location in Los Angeles. One pair of shoes, black hightops with a Velcro strap, didn't last two months. The soles on both shoes started to peel off. When I called customer service they told me I would have to go to the store location to have them replaced. The store manager told me that I cannot replace the pair of shoes but they can give me the current value of $19 for a pair of shoes that I paid $80 for two months earlier. I prefer this Zara over most mall Zara's. Since it's a less- frequented store, it's always clean when I go in. The selection is vast and always stocked. I went into this location the other day to buy some work clothes. I was clearly in a rush and mentioned to an employee that I may have to return a few items due to the fitting rooms being closed. She proceeded to scan my items very slowly, and then leaves me with no receipt so I can't return these clothes that don't even fit. I also mentioned that I have a friend who works there and I'd like a discount and she told me she'd have to bring the manager over. Since when do you have to do that? Not only does Zara have an extremely weak selection for women, but I guess they have no customer service skills as well. This is a fast fashion place anyways, shop somewhere better. Compared to the men's section at our local Zara, their men's section was huge. I loved the feel of the place, and it was clean. I found a few interesting jackets that I don't see at my local Zara. They also have some t-shirts that I don't usually see either. It's worth a visit. Be sure to check their app and scan the item to make sure the prices match. read more

This Zara is really unprofessional in so many ways. First of all, because of the employees not being well trained in communicating the right policy. In my case, my wife purchased a coat $54.95, that's poor in quality. I couldn't find the receipt on hand, so my wife suggested we go to with our card number. So we went in store just to get turned down and manipulated, they said they would much prefer original receipt. We told the representative that we will return with the original receipt, but instead the representative pressured us to exchange for a new coat and just to bring the original receipt. We did exactly what she said, but when we came back they said "oh we are so sorry it's a exchange no receipt we can't do nothing about it" basically saying we are stuck with a bad quality item. So I called Zara customer service, and again to be let down saying we can't do anything. This company overall is really bad in every aspect, they steal your money for bad product. To start, I generally try to avoid Zara as much as possible due to their unethical business practices and terrible customer service. Every once in a while, however, I succumb to the whims of an impulse buy. You know those days when you need a new item to spruce things up? We all have those days. And many times, they lead us to places like Zara for a quick fix. I'm here to tell you - don't do it! It's not worth it. After my visit last week, I left Zara reminded again as to why I avoid this place. This location in particular (DTLA at 7th & Fig) could seriously use some customer service training. To illustrate... First, I needed help finding a pair of jeans and asked an employee for help. She gave me directions that took her 3 whole minutes to explain as opposed to simply just getting the jeans herself. She claimed she "couldn't leave her area." How is that possible? As a retail employee, do you truly not have discretion/permission to leave your area of duty to help a customer in need? This has happened on other occasions before with the same employee and I had just written it off as she was having a bad day. But it seems to me this is the regular practice here? It's bizarre. As someone who worked in retail for many years, I could never imagine telling a customer I couldn't help them find an item because I didn't have permission to leave my zone? That sounds like pure laziness to me and poor customer service training. Moving on- then I wanted to exchange a jacket for a smaller size and they refused to do so because the interior tag was missing (not talking about the main tag I mean the one inside on the side of the garment). I informed the sales associate that I do not recall ever taking the inside tag off and perhaps this is the way it was sold. She said it was not possible. I asked to speak to the assistant manager, who was of no help. In fact, the AM was extremely rude and condescending in her attempt to resolve the issue. I again informed her that when I purchased the coat, there never was an interior tag. Perhaps someone before me had taken it off or it was never placed on the jacket to begin with. She stated they do not sell items without the interior tag. Unfortunately I was not able to run an audit of her store, but I'm sure I can find at least one item that doesn't have a side interior tag. It's not completely implausible! Human error is a thing. So why not just make a customer happy and exchange for a smaller size? I truly don't understand Zara's black and white rules on simple matters such as exchanging an item! Essentially, it comes down to he said/she said and instead of giving the customer the benefit of the doubt, Zara chooses the rigid alternative of "being right", and as a result, loses customers day by day (see other reviews for this location). IMO, Zara will never be able to compete with stores like Nordstrom or even Amazon (who is gaining lots of retail sales these days). These companies offer the highest level of customer service and respect, and will continue to win over business. Zara, on the other hand, has a long way to go in the customer service world and learning how to retain a loyal customer base. Maybe they just don't care about repeat customers. They are, after all, in the game of cheap and fast fashion. Overall, I would not recommend shopping here, even if you are desperate (especially not the DTLA location). read more

I am a big fan of Zara brand, and here is my first time came to this location. I can guarantee that this is the worst location that i have ever had. The service so terrible. I did ask 2 staffs to looking for a skirt size XS as the one i got is size S but the staff didn't even try to help me. First staff told me that it have 2 left and she point the way where skirt is, however i still cant find it. I love shopping at Zara, so I'm very sad to have to post this. I have purchased three items now that had a USD price sticker placed over a Euro price sticker. The problem is, the exchange rate conversion is very off. For example, I bought a a men's t-shirt for $25.90 USD, the Euro price underneath, however, is 15.95. The proper conversion should be more like $18.59 USD. I also bought two men's colognes, both priced at $22.90 USD, with Euro prices of 12.95 - again, not accurate, should be more like $15 USD. These purchases were made at the DTLA location and the Glendale location. I contacted customer service in search of an explanation and was completely blown off by three different representatives. The customer service is generally horrible. Especially in the women's side. Men's side is actually pretty friendly. Especially the men helping you find what you need in the store. The cashiers at both stores are generally total assholes. I rarely write bad reviews but they literally make you feel like you owe them something just for being in their presence. I've never written a review on a retail store, because why, but after the experience I had last week I felt more than inclined to. After reading previous reviews on this location, it also looks like I'm not alone, so I hope that Zara corporate takes some major action on the horrid employees that plague this store, especially one of the managers. I stroll in around 8:45pm on a Tuesday. I didn't bother to check the store hours because I'm used to (at least in normal stores where decent human beings work) employees standing at the door to not only greet but also let customers know that "We're closing in 15 minutes by the way". I begin to peruse the store, pass by many employees that seem to have a staring problem and grab some things to try on. I stand at the doorway of the dressing room waiting to be helped/greeted.. instead I'm ignored by a group of 5 or 7 girls who are all huddled around gossiping and purposefully ignoring me. I finally say "Can I try this on?". One of the girls (who turned out to be a manager) unwillingly gives me a number and says "thanks" passive aggressively. By this time it's about 8:55 and I'm not aware that they close at 9. FIRST OF ALL, if you close at 9 PM, why not let me know? SECOND OF ALL, if you do happen to be closing in FIVE MINUTES, don't let me try clothes on. Don't expect me to try my clothes on within 5 minutes and have made a decision by then. Just common sense right? Instead, while one of my arms is passing its way into one of the armholes of the 3 shirts I brought into the room... I hear an angry voice say "The registers are closed". LIKE GIRL WHAT? At this point I've had it and I'm like "well why did you let me try on clothes then? I want to buy this shirt." She then snaps back and says "well you can hurry and try to buy them". I close the curtain and for some odd reason, the girl and another worker in the fitting room think that it's a sound-proof curtain and for lack of a better word, they both begin to talk shit about me. It was along the lines of "Like omg, just get out. Why do people do this when they know we close at 9. So fucking annoying". GIRL WHY DO YOU WORK IN THIS INDUSTRY. I have worked in Retail all my life, even have been a manager at a national department store. Like why in your right mind would you openly say this in front of a customer within hearing distance. I was completely fired up at this point. Still fired up as I write this review. I go to the register and ask for a manager, and this is where I come to find that the initial rude girl who gave me a dressing room number (also one of the 7 girls who had ignored me when I tried to get a room) was the manager. She has this upset look on her face and snaps back at me saying "It isn't necessary to take this tone, mam" when honestly it was COMPLETELY NECESSARY. I couldn't believe that someone of such low morals and respect was a manager for a place like Zara. I ended up not buying the two items I had initially set out to buy and I walked out. Fortunately, a nice young man who worked there who had also witnessed the entire thing had apologized for my experience. Not once did I receive any kind of apology from the manager. One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a store, or let alone any customer service environment. I hope Zara fires this manager and those two employees especially. read more

I am a frequent shopper to this Zara. Frequent. I recently bought a pair of shorts, but when I got home and tried them on a second time- I didn't really like the way they fit. I put them back in the bag so I could exchange them next time I was there. I went back in the store a few days later and I found a pair of shoes that I liked, coincidentally they were the exact same price. this is when I realized that my receipt was in another bag, that I didn't have with me. I asked if I could exchange the shoes for the shorts, and if there was any price difference I would pay. All tags were on, they were still in the same shopping bag, obviously never worn. The sales person told me that this particular manager most likely won't allow me to do the exchange without the receipt. I said that seems a little unreasonable, and asked him to ask the manager anyway. He came back very shortly and let me know that the manager did indeed refuse my request. So I went home, got the receipt, and then returned the shorts. Not an exchange anymore, a return for a full refund. Not only did they lose the sale, but they also lost a customer. A real good customer. So stupid! So congrats to whomever the manager was at 7pm on June 8th, 2019. You really kept to your guns! read more

Literally the worst Zara I've ever been to. I wish I could give them no stars. They had a summer deal, so I grabbed a bathing suit before the register & bought it. When I got to my car, I noticed there was panty stains in the bathing suit; obviously not from me because I didn't try it on. So I walk back in to the store to return the soiled bathing suit & that's when the shit show started. The cashier put the receipt in my bag but when I got back to the store I couldn't find it. Maybe it was my fault, maybe not, but that doesn't mean I should be treated with disrespect when I'm trying to return an item. I went up to the cashier that rang me up & she acted like a deer in the headlights when I showed her the panty stains. She told me she could exchange it then called over the manager. The manager named Dejon was extremely rude & definitely on his high horse from being the general manager lol. He came over to tell me he couldn't do anything because of the store policies; then when I told him I better get my money back he called security on me. I waited for the security guard to come & he basically told me he couldn't do anything. He told me to talk to corporate or call customer care because Dejon obviously wasn't doing his job right. First off, I need to know why they don't have panty liners in their bathing suits while in the store? Second, how is it my fault you sold me a disgusting bathing suit? I'm beyond livid smh. Also when I asked for the names of the manager & slow cashier, Dejon says he could only give me his name & not the cashiers because of store policy. As much as I LOVE shopping at Zara and have been a loyal customer for years I must say that their return / exchange policy is HORRIBLE. I went in yesterday with my girlfriend to find some pants to match my blazer "PAID IN CASH" went home and they did not match. We looked all over for the receipt and could not find it. I believe because my girlfriend asked about the return policy in store we never received a receipt, but that's another story. I went in to return or exchange and apparently with no receipt they cannot refund me my money back. Understood, NO PROBLEM. So I asked about store credit to get something that I may like in exchange for the value in which I paid for the item. Can't do that either. Called customer service and they were NO HELP at all. Bottom line is I know it's my fault I lost the receipt "if I even received it" but Zara has to get a better POS system to better help customers when they do end up loosing the receipt. They couldn't even look up the transaction with the UPC number. I'm surprised I couldn't even get store credit! The item is still in brand new condition with tags attached and everything. I am VERY upset and may consider doing my shopping elsewhere. read more

I usually love coming to this Zara for the one stop shop convenience with the target and Victoria's Secret on the second floor but I have to say the customer service here is trash. I had an issue with a return today around 4-5pm. I didn't have the receipt, but the item was brand new with tags. I asked 2 different employees if I can return it without the receipt, they both said they weren't sure.... But the girl on the register was the one I had a problem with. I love being able to walk and shop at Zara during my lunch break. Zara is a clothing company for women, men and kids. Zara is located at the FIGat7th Downtown LA plaza with other businesses such as H&M, Target, Sprinkles, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, etc. FIGat7th is located at Figueroa and 7th. This location is large, clean and has a great selection of clothes. The clothes are almost always displayed or folded nicely, and a variety of sizes are readily available. The customer service here is nonexistent and they will treat you as if you're invisible. They have several workers who walk around the store and fix displays, etc. and only one cashier for a long line of customers. The checkout line is not efficient so if I don't have time to wait, I will just place an order online. I will continue to add Zara pieces to my closet because I enjoy the styles and fit that they offer. I will most likely be back during my lunch break to see what new clothing is in stock! read more

I waited a long time for this to open and it has not disappointed me. I normally shop at Zara online, and when I have to, at the Grove. I hate going to the Grove because it's full of tourists and that trolly is just so mindbogglingly ridiculous (Why you gotta put in a stupid ass trolly operated by guys in a stupid hat for a city block, it's easy to walk and this isn't Disneyland.) The employees at the Grove Zara are fine but the ladies I've encountered at this new location (and I've been in 5 times since it opened 3 weeks ago) are markedly more helpful and have better attitudes. Everyone I've interacted with has been pleasant and friendly. It's so refreshing. Several of the associates went out of their way today to help me find something that was sold out online...I was at the Grove Zara just last night and 2 associates barked at me "everything we have is out" so the extra effort was apparent. The store itself is gorgeous. I heard them say it's one of their biggest stores. The parking is only $1 per hour in the Fig at 7th lot between 8th and 7th street just west of Figueroa. If you are only shopping at Zara, make sure you enter the structure at a Fig at 7th/Retail Shopping entrance and park on levels 1, 2 or 3 because they told me they can only validate if your ticket is on one of those 3 levels (that parking structure is annoying but the attendants have helped me sort out validations before). read more
