Be aware of the worst customer service and return policy!!! I bought a shirt that I had tried on before I paid. When I went home, I washed it before the first wear. It shrunk and it doesn't fit anymore. I took it to the Zara in Valley Fair mall within 30 days and wanted to return it, or at lease get a store credit. After waited in the special "return/exchange" line for 30 minutes, a staff served me with a stern face. I explained what had happened to the shirt and ask for a refund. The staff's response was "what! You washed it! We don't give refund for any items that had been washed!" I told her the shirt needs to be cleaned before I wear it but It end up shrunk. She asked the manager to come, where she said it will be the same result, which was another wait. I asked if I can at lease get a store credit. The manager said the item had been washed and the price tag was removed. (Of course the price tag needs to be remove before the wash!) It's their company policy that it cannot be returned. I questioned 'does it consider a defective item, but not just returning ?' The manager gave me a printout of a blank receipt, and told me the policy was printed clear (fine line) at the back and said I should have read it. The cashier staff had that stern attitude the entire time. I can get better shopping experience else where. I will never go back to give them my business. read more

Horrible customer service in store and online. Found a dress we wanted online. They didn't have the dress near us, so we used Zara's website to locate the nearest location. Unfortunately the nearest one was 6 hours away but we were going to be in that area anyways. I tried every way possible to call the store to verify if they had the dress (since online is not always reliable on the information it shows), but every number went to a corporate general number or a not in service. Come to find out the store does not have a customer call line. When we arrived there were tons of workers walking around. We asked for help but she didn't know her inventory and also didn't have a device to look up the item. We followed her around the store to other employees to find the device and after 3 different employees said no, she found a device to look the item up. She had difficulty looking the item up and at one point just left us without saying anything to us. Long story short they did not have the item. We ended up purchasing other items but there was only one worker at the cash register. There was a long line and as mentioned before, tons of workers walking around. I spoke with a manager to inform them about the inconvenience of their online information in hopes they can pass it on to corporate to improve the company but she showed no interest in my suggestion. There is absolutely no way you can make a purchase in this store in less than an hour. No dressing rooms are available, so every purchase is a risk. The line to purchase is congested with returns. Extremely rude and distasteful service. My girlfriend wanted to change her outfit for dinner at Joeys and stopped by Zara to quickly buy a new outfit. She didn't like it and decided to return it after trying it on once in the bathroom (bc the fitting room was completely packed). Upon return the employee was immediately demeaning and scoffed at us because we folded our items pretty lazily (because we had just bought it & our bag was too small so we stuffed it in there). My gf took off the tags prior and bc of that the employee said they had to get a manager, called him, and laughed on the phone delivering the message. Manager came asked why we were returning my gf said she just didn't like it and he inspected the clothes. They pointed out details of the items claiming they were unfit for return and my gf said she had just bought them. And he said rudely "you made it seem like you took it home and came back here to return it" in which my gf replied politely saying "oh yea sorry, we just bought it 2 hours ago". we did get the return which we were happy about but the overall interaction was just weird and rude. Overall if they just said we couldn't return it because of the tags being off we would've just went about our day but they didn't say we couldn't and just pointed out details that came with the item claiming we ruined the item, and just remained rude. I do not recommend shopping in store. The store is clean for the most part and they have a good selection, but they close the fitting rooms on weekends and only have 1 register available to return or exchange items. The line is always ridiculously long. They have more registers open to take purchases but if you want to return something they don't give you the same level of service. I exited the upstairs door and the "security guard" spoke in his earpiece confirming that I was leaving....um...this is Zara. A step up from H&M. There is no need for security guards. From the other reviews it sounds like the company needs to divest in faux security and invest in more cashiers. I would give a zero for my experience with the customer service. I went to return a pair of sweats I bought for my daughter. The lengths were uneven with one leg an entire 1-2 inches shorter. They refused to process a return because my daughter had cut the tag off. However I had the tag with me along with the receipt. They admitted that there was a defect with this line of sweats even though they were still selling the line on the floor. My daughter had tried on another pair hoping to do an exchange but they were ALSO uneven pants legs! The store is selling defective items and then refused to process our return. Wouldn't this be considered fraud? The manager was female with a mole on her face. They have 2 levels, never opens both registers, and a line of people who want to purchase/return. Every other store has their fitting rooms open, but theirs is not ever since restrictions dropped. We didn't realize that you could only do returns downstairs, so we spent time waiting for both the upstairs and downstairs line. The downstairs line probably took us about 40 minutes. Always crowded, so I try to avoid the actual store. I only purchase clothing @ Zara online (rarely), but sizes are often off. Also quality is typically subpar. As a result, I have to sometimes return stuff. At this point my review goes down from 3 stars to 0 star. Lines for return are huge, service is below average, looks like air conditioning is reserved only for first floor (returns and sale items are on the second floor). On the bright side, huge wait times gave me plenty of time to write this review. So, Zara, here is your one star. PS. I spent 45 minutes in line... one person at the register... while other sales associates were practicing in moving around as slowly as possible and ignoring a huge line. read more

Long lines on the second floor, due to covid measures. However, once you get into the store, it's practically empty on the second floor. Because everyone is lining up at the cashier on the first floor! If the cashiers were faster, it would definitely reduce the lines outside. The cashier who assisted me with my exchange of clothes had no idea what to do. And the other cashier had to come over to help. I have never really shopped at Zara until recently. This store always has a super long line to get inside and also inside to pay. The staff is friendly and working efficiently but there is a lot of disorganization. I got here 5 minutes before open and there was a long line in what was presumed to be the entrance. At around 11:05 the door still wasn't open but one at the kids entrance was opened by a worker who didn't acknowledge the line of 20+ people waiting. We assumed we couldn't enter. Then the patrons starting bulldozing in after realizing we could enter. To the workers, you should acknowledge the people waiting. The door had a big red sticker on the floor, as a regular customer wouldn't you assume this means an exit???
