This is the worst clothing store. The dressing rooms are permanently closed and they have no registers open, causing huge lines. Overall, the store is a mess, with clothes laying in piles all over the place and the people working there seem to be busier chatting with each other than they are helping customers. Why even have the store open? You are much better off order everything online, otherwise you have to drive to Walnut Creek and park just to return the items (that you were unable to try on before you bought them). If you buy online, returns are much easier as you can pick the closest drop off location to you. Save yourself the trip and don't come here. read more

We LOVE ZARA! But this store has some serious managing problems, the staffs either forgot to take the security locks off or broke the item when they took it down. I found one was still on when stepping out of the door, turned back right away, there was no apology at all but cold face instead, really? So it's MY fault? What's come worse: found another lock still on the merchandise and one merchandise was broken later when I got home, have to make another trip going back, Geez! read more

I spent a lot of time going through the clothes, and picking out the pieces I liked, and was about to try them on when I got a call and had to leave. Turns out, unlike any other clothing store in the area, there is no system to put clothes on hold. I don't even care that the place is a mess, but when I find the things I like and want to return later to purchase them, just grab a pen and paper, write my name on it, and put the name on ther clothes behind the registers. I had every intention of returning later tonight to try them on and make a purchase, but now I'll just stay home. The place is such a mess that I'm confident all the clothes I tried to put back will be in the eame spot tomorrow, but I think my time and money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I love Zara and buy most of my clothes there. I love it so much that even when I travel- if there's a Zara nearby -I will go there and shop. I agree 100% with Mimi, that if you are a true Zara fan- you will shop there and not care about how organized the store is. I went into the Zara at WC today and received excellent customer service by both Chaysea and the manager. All the associates I interacted with were nice and professional. I had purchased a shirt in Chicago and was looking for another one, Chaysea took his time to find the shirt for me-they only had one- though he was busy with my exchange/return at the same time. He took the time to help me with everything I needed. Thank you Chaysea! Have patience folks, it's post Christmas/holiday sales time and Zara has lots of inventory on sale. The deals are great and many people are shopping but it's all worth the wait. Give the staff a break too- it's a busy store. All the other Zara stores I have been to have been just as busy, if not more. Try going to the San Jose store in Valley Fair- the lines get super long because the demand is so high. The worst Zara of all. The manager named Alex in this store was of zero use. It makes sense why this store has such low ratings. The store was also a mess. I had a picture of the receipt and did not even want my money back. I was trying to exchange stuff and pay the difference. Alex said he would make an exception and that he would let us exchange it with another blazer but not pants which did not make any sense and it was extremely ridiculous. Also it didn't add up that he said he needs the physical receipt but then he was going to exchange for another blazer. The reason I was returning the blazer was because I did not want a blazer so why would I want another blazer? I'm very dissatisfied with this location and it makes sense to me why the rating of the store is so low. I will also be contacting corporate office regarding this matter. The least they could do during these times is be a little mo lenient with exchanges snd returns especially I had a picture of the receipt with all the information they could possibly need and it was within 30 days. The manager or anyone would not even give their name and told me to call the corporate. I even had the Medical emergency paper with me but they didn't even brother looking it at. I can see my opinion of this specific Zara is the majority. A hot mess. I was SO excited to watch for months an entire building be erected and dedicated just for Zara. Ok. So Christmas weekend it is understandable that any store is messy. But the last three times I've walked in looks like toddlers spend the day messing the piles and placing clothes on racks with no rhyme or reason. I won't be shopping here. Online is way more sane and you can always do free returns from online orders at this Zara for Ross. Hopefully management cares enough to hire more staff that also straighten and size garments and maybe even a "greeter" so shoppers feel like they are in a Zara and not in a retail nightmare yard sale. Mostly due to no organization. Staff is roaming around as customers are hoping to get some sort of assistance. Had to return an item that was defective. The line was too long but we found an associate who would take the return. That didn't work out as the employee was told NOT to help us. So many employees, yet so little useful help. We packed up our two infants and drove 20 minutes to get here Tuesday to make a simple return. We arrived at the store around 4:35pm and waited in line to come in because an employee was closely monitoring the door. Obviously if there is a line of about 20 people outside the store waiting on your 6ft spaces tape marks you would tel them when they can be let in and when you are no longer at capacity. The imbecile of an employee at the door made no attempt to communicate with the people in line in front of us and myself and my family of 3 right behind them. SO WE WAITED. As more and more people left the store, it was 4:59pm and we asked the employee "How many people need to leave before we can come in?". A perfectly justifiable question. When she told us that she was closing the store and that we needed to enter before 5:00pm to be able to shop today! Are you shitting me?? She was telling us we couldn't come in after waiting 25 minutes. She then added that she didn't know that we were waiting to come in and that we could have come in all the time! We were standing on the black tape 6 ft from the door waiting in line 2 by 2 and she had the audacity to say she didn't know we were all waiting in line. The manager came over and instead of speaking with us or allowing us to come in quickly and make our returns she called the damn police on my family and the African American family that was in front of us. Way to ruin your reputation as a decent store! I hope that they are fired over this. If that's not blatant racism I don't know what is. Today, 1/15/2021, I experienced what many have reported based on online reviews of how unprofessional, rude, racist and entitled the Managers and Sales Associates at the Zara in Walnut Creek are. Manager with employee number 513239 and the two Sales Associates quarding the door at 5:40pm, felt the need to let two entitled women cut the line of several people waiting to enter, including myself into the store after closing hours. When I proceeded to question how their actions were unfair and not right, I was faced with insults and a call to Walnut Creek Police Department. Being a person of African American ethnicity and at a time when police injustices are prevalent, to call the police for questioning a stores actions was extreme. Zara Corporate needs to take responsibility and address the staff at this location. They have absolutely no customer service skills and are incapable of managing this store. My review is for the rude staff. They have separate "return and exchange " line, I had one return and four new items for purchase and no exchange, return line was shorter compared to purchase line, and to be fair since I had more purchases I stood in the longer purchase line. After 30 minutes waiting in line as I got to the counter i was told to get back in return line to get my return processed. Instead of giving me a courtesy warning for my honest mistake and letting me return, the sales rep insisted that I go back in line. Even after my explanation that my intention was not to cut in line rather I chose the longer line to be fair to people returning one or two items, I had more number of purchases than returns. It was almost that the sales rep was just doing this just to be rude and show authority. read more

Cool clothes at good prices. However, while there is plenty of staff staring at their phones and each other, not one person has acknowledged my existence in any way. No eye contact. No smile. No words. While I like shopping without being bugged, this is altogether a different story. I've never been able to get behind the argument of AI robots taking over, but here....they would actually provide a more pleasant shopping experience. Whoever is training Zara's staff needs to be fired along with their unfriendly team. Also...when you have hundreds of $ worth of clothes you are about to buy, but still shopping...don't tell me to remove my selections from your counter while I'm still deciding. Perhaps offer to take my selections and place them somewhere so I'm not having to carry a pile of clothes. It's just common manners. One exception was the very nice young woman at register downstairs named Julia. She is the only person working there who actually deserves to work there. If I could give this store 0 starts I would. The customer service is terrible. A costumer broke a perfume bottle and glass shattered everywhere and it took the staff 15 minutes to clean it up. A nice women was trying to get a refund on damaged clothing and the staff would not let her. They even threatened to call security on her when she was being completely pleasant. I'd like to reiterate what all of the other reviews say about this store location, but maybe, perhaps, put it more bluntly: this store is trash. My friend and I walked into this store today at around 6:00pm because I had never been inside a single Zara store in my life. I kept hearing some decent things about the clothes that they had so we decided to take advantage of the fact that we were there. So, we walk in, and instantly find a few pieces that we'd like to try on. Only problem is: the women's dressing room is roped off. We look around the store to ask what's up with the dressing room but can't find a single employee there that can be bothered to answer our question. Strike 1. We then head upstairs to the second floor of the store to see if that dressing room is blocked off as well. My friend walks up to the counter to ask the employee standing there. He curtly tells us that upstairs is where the men's dressing room is and that we need to go back downstairs to use that dressing room. Strike 2. We head back downstairs with the dozen items that we have and walk back to the women's dressing room. By this time, at least 3-4 more women are standing there with clothes in their arms looking around at each other wondering why the women's dressing room is still roped off. After a few minutes, one of the store employees graces us with her delightful presence and bluntly tells us that the store closes at 7:00pm on Saturdays and that the dressing room is closed. At 6:45pm. Strike. Freakin'. 3. I liked the pieces that I picked up there- and I was so excited to try them on and potentially buy them- but the store employees really need some sort of training in proper communication skills and customer service. The clothes at Zara aren't that cheap so it really made no logical sense to me as to why the store employees were so unprofessional. Customer service jobs are no joke. I totally get that. But being rude to paying customers is never a good idea. Oh well. At least Target has stepped up their clothing game. And they stay open until 11:00pm. read more

Today the male manager on duty at 11:35 am could have acted more like a manager. Upon completing shopping at Zara and wanting to try on clothes, a sign at the back dressing room said CLOSED. I inquired with the employee standing in dressing area and he said it was closed till NOON so after shopping since 11:15am and collecting 6 items to try on he was not willing to offer to put clothes on rack inside dressing room waiting area for 25 minutes. He suggested just shopping more...sorry I was done and needed to try on. I pleaded with him and stated this was no customer service while not offering rack space for these clothes to be available within a 40 minute period. I pressured him to let me hang these on rack for 25 minutes while I went across street and promised I would be back by 12:15. He said the items may be put back...he relinquished and said I could leave them on the rack (over 100 pieces of clothing were hanging there at that time) but they may get returned inside store before I return. Hmmm! I asked to see manager and he said he was, I asked his name and he said they are not allowed to give names and rattled off an employee number...absurd. No surprise, I returned at 12:15 and my 6 items were put back inside the main store BUT the other 100 and more items were still there. Seems like he had an agenda...not behavior for a manager.
