The guy at men's department was very nice and courteous but the one who did my transaction yesterday at the cash register was rude,felt like she doesn't wanna be there.long wavy hair(i think she's latina) wearing a gold necklace w her name(i dont have to mention the name) she cant hide her emotions that she even ripped the first bag and say nothing or not even looked at me when she handed me my items.i understand the stress in retail job since i myself work in this kind of job but if a guest was nice to you,please be accomodating. I really hate giving one star reviews, because as someone who worked in customer service for 10 years, I feel for employees in this work. However, this Zara has the worse customer service I have ACTUALLY ever experienced (and I am pretty patient). I came in this morning to shop, and I was looking through the sales racks, when I grabbed a jacket and one of the store associates (young lady with a long braid and fake eyelashes) snapped at me and said "that's my jacket can you not touch it". First of all, why is your jacket out in the racks AT A CLOTHING STORE? Second, I was minding my own business shopping and out of your way. This associate chose to be rude and bark out of the blue. Then I went to check out, and my cashier was just talking to her other colleague, looked extremely annoyed and had very dismissive behavior. Zara, do better with your Walnut Creek location. Either management is bad, or you don't pay your employees enough to keep them happy at this location. The staff had to call a manger to resolve this (ie take off the tag - what a big deal) ... instead of trying to apologize for all the inconvenience of me having to spend an hour an a half to get this tag off i got triple inspected by the store manager who was most concerned to make sure i was not trying to steal this. In the end, she said "you are good to go" - are you f-ing a store manager or a police officer ... feels like a very low quality personal going up to a manager level. I had a bad experience with ZARA few days ago when I came to return the items that were damage and the manager I don't know his name told me he can't help me I have to contact customer service and they will help me to return the items because I can return them in store. I called customer service. they told me items that I bought in store had to come back to store . I went back today to the store had a great experience with a different manger . The customer service has a lot of room for improvement. I was returning two items ordered online. The gentleman helping me was speaking to his coworker while processing my return. He was speaking to her in Spanish and said "bendejo." Very unprofessional. After the return, he stated I would receive my receipt via email (no paper return receipt). That was two days ago. I have yet to receive it so I contacted customer support who said they'll investigate and get back to me via email or chat on the Zara app. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but remember he was wearing a supreme beanie. I was treated like a thief after purchasing an item. I felt the cashier purposely set me up to get stopped when exiting the store after my purchase. The door alarm sounded when I tried to exit the store and the security officer stopped me to check my bag. Right away I saw the anti theft alarm tag on my jacket and showed the security guard it and my receipt. He was understanding and gave it to a worker who immediately gave me this look. He called another worker and then they both demanded I show them the receipt. I showed them it and even pointed out the cashier who helped me who rolled her eyes and walked away! They made me go all the way back to the register area to take off the antitheft tag and while doing so the other cashier who was there while the other girl was ringing me up earlier didn't even vouch for me either! The new cashier who was ringing me up had the audacity to say, " well you're lucky you didn't take it home with you. It would've still had the tag on." Wouldn't I be lucky not to be treated like a thief and to have had the previous cashier perform her job properly instead of half-a**?? No apology for the inconvenience from their incompetence. If I could give this place zero stars I would. 1 star is giving them too much credit especially after my experience tonight. Customer service is horrible here. They close early without warning or signs and when asked they don't even apologize or give an explanation. All employees simply stared at the door and didn't bat an eye. One girl was especially rude (Asian girl, straight shoulder length hair). Management should really consider teaching their employees basic manners at the least. I have absolutely nothing against their employees who are always great and working hard on the floor but it is ridiculous that every time I come in, fitting rooms are not open. I see people leaving go-backs all over the place when they find out fitting rooms are closed, which creates more work for the employees. Oh Zara! You have become one of my favorite brands. This review is mainly for the men's section of this specific store. This store can be found at the Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. The store has 2 levels, women's being on the main floor, while men's and kid's are sharing the 2nd floor. And yes, this is one of the few stores I've seen that has Zara Kids. Anyway, we all know that Zara sells nice looking clothes for prices that will not break your bank. This store is really nice and has a convenient location, though they don't have a lot going on compared to the other stores when it comes to men's. So if you're looking to see all the men's clothes you've seen online, just go to a bigger store in San Francisco because highly likely, they wouldn't have most of it in this store. As for the employees, they have been helpful and approachable, though there were some that weren't. So far, I have nothing but good experience with this store and will continue to come back here for the clothes that I need. read more

I guess there is a reason the reviews are so bad. The registers had to reload holding up everyone for 5 minutes and the person at the register said there is no wait upstairs in the men's area. However, their registers were also reloading and after people left to go up there the cashiers said the registers were reloading up there as well and the person said I know but that made our line shorter! Knowing he deceived everyone. When I finally got to purchase the item I wanted to buy I was told it wasn't on sale even though it was on a rack that indicated a sale price saying it was for the other side of the rack only ... but the sign had that price on both sides so for the other side of the rack as well. I worked years of retail and this is obviously wrong. I went here for my niece because it's stuff she would like not me but if I were anyone I would avoid this place. The quality is cheap unless something is on sale not worth it but apparently they try to cheat you with sales as well. read more

Unlike other Zara's, this Zara is the worse store. From the perspective of someone who has been a loyal customer, the overall service at the Walnut Creek store was the worst service I have ever received and observed others receiving. The service from management to the fitting room attendees was 0 out of 5 stars. Drove over 40 minutes two days back to back to return purchased items due to the fitting rooms being closed, and I wasn't able to try the close. People were trying on clothes throughout the entire store because they couldn't try what they were buying. The store opened at 10:00 am, and it was 11:27 am, and the manager said fitting rooms would open at 12:00 noon, two hours after the store opened. The regional manager needs to intervene because. They closed 30 minutes early and when opening the door to let customers that were already inside out, the employee attempted to ignore the 4 groups of people waiting to enter and even went as far as to ignore me when I asked what time they closed. The second time she opened the door all she said was, "we closed early tonight" refusing to look at anyone and when people requested to simply make a quick return after driving 30 minutes to do just that she said, "Well we're not going to open for you." I was so excited when they opened a Zara in this area! I finally got around to visiting. The layout of the store was a bit confusing, but very tidy nonetheless. Their selection of clothing in store seemed very different from their selection online which was a bit disappointing but at least I was able to try on items of similar style and find out which sizes I would need if I were to order online. A few things that bothered me were the quality of some items. The texture of some of their coats seemed spongy, and some coats had what looked like pockets, but ended up being sewn shut. Fake pockets *eye roll* And on the coats that did have pockets, the flaps of the pocket, as well as all the seams/stitching, were totally visible on the inside. Not what I would expect for paying $150 for a coat. I ended up leaving empty handed unfortunately. Didn't have any interaction with an employee so I can't vouch for their customer service. The store itself is great, they have an alright selection, but I'd rather shop at their online shop if anything. Not a bad experience, or anything like that, but a tad bit disappointing. Purchased a coat over a week ago from San Jose store, never got it out of the box, tried to return it back because want a different color, the manger David on the shift told me sorry we can not take it back, it looks like was worn already, really, the tag was never removed or even open the box, it is outrageous the way the think we used it, don't recommend to anyone ! Seriously, who doesn't love Zara?! They sell such cute and high quality clothes. I especially love their designs as they are pretty unique. Quite pricey though but they're worth it, in my opinion. I personally have never had a bad experience in this Walnut Creek location in terms of customer service and I hope that doesn't change ever. So far, most of the employees I've talked to were friendly and would actually be happy to help. There were handful of associates though that weren't warm but also not rude. Fitting rooms in this location can get pretty messy and though the cashier lines get pretty long. Also, the store isn't spacious and can actually feel pretty tight. So I wouldn't really recommend shopping here on their peak hours and days. Despite all the nuisance though, I'll keep coming back here. So, so happy they finally opened a store close to me. read more

This is the worst clothing store. The dressing rooms are permanently closed and they have no registers open, causing huge lines. Overall, the store is a mess, with clothes laying in piles all over the place and the people working there seem to be busier chatting with each other than they are helping customers. Why even have the store open? You are much better off order everything online, otherwise you have to drive to Walnut Creek and park just to return the items (that you were unable to try on before you bought them). If you buy online, returns are much easier as you can pick the closest drop off location to you. Save yourself the trip and don't come here. read more

Zara is a retailer that I am unfamiliar with. I first discovered them when a friend dragged me into their San Francisco/Westfield location. I recently noticed that they made their way to my neck of the woods. Today, I decided to stop in and take a look around. I picked out a couple items that caught my eye and got in line. I patiently waited, constantly reminding myself that it is a new store and I'm sure they must be having difficulties with the equipment and/or staff. After nearly 15 minutes in line, I asked one of the manager's if they could open another register. It didn't make any sense for the entire line to be held up by a single customer. The manager replied with: "I'm sorry, I don't ring." He pretty much said: I am a manager and serving customers is beneath me. This was so frustrating and upsetting to experience. A manager should be the leader of his store. I think I am so upset because I've worked in retail for a very long time and I always do what's right for the customer and my team! I felt devalued as a customer and my first real shopping experience at this store was unpleasant. I see no reason to return. I'm sure my dollars are not valued here and it will hardly affect their sales goals. But I'm sure their competitors would love my business. read more

Fitting Rooms closed an hour earlier than the store closure time and manager refuse to accommodate

I shop at the San Francisco Zara which I love. I live close to the Walnut Creek Zara so it makes it convenient to shop there. Last week I bought 5 items at Walnut Creek and one of the pair of pants didn't fit well. I went to return them and the short Asian manager said an inside tag was removed and acted as if I stole something. He was very dismissive and rude. I had tags on item and the receipt. I had never seen the tag inside. He was the rudest manager I have ever encountered. Obviously not a HAPPY person and made life miserable for his employees. Never shopping there again... read more
