This is by far the worst Zaxby's I've ever been to. The first time my online order wasn't even ready. The second time I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food. This establishment is slow to take orders and get them correct as well as having orders out in a decent amount of time. I'm still wait I on my food as I write this review. Last night I ordered dinner for my son and myself at Zaxbys 8334 Ikea Blvd Charlotte, NC 28262 (704) 596-1320. After I ordered I notice majority of the employees wearing their mask on their chins. Some of the employees were playing around, dancing, joking and not doing anything. My order was placed at 6:37 pm for on Fried House Salad and one fried Cajun Club Meal in which I paid $18.81. The store was not packed or crowded and I have pictures of some of the employees not wearing mask appropriately and customers who were waiting for their orders to show how the employees wore their mask and to show the store was not packed. At 7:06 pm (30 minutes later), I have a picture of my watch inside the store verifying I was still waiting, my order was still not ready. I approached the counter and requested for the General Manager information. The employee got the store manager who said she just got done making the salad base and it would be another 5 minutes before the salad would be done. She did tell me the General manager name is Danielle. and nothing else. At 7:18 pm my order was completed and incorrectly. My son got the wrong sandwich, he did not get the fried club sandwich meal he ordered and I got the wrong salad, instead of the house salad I got a salad with Buffalo chicken tenders, some nuts in the salad and the wrong dressing. Also my son's fries were cold. I could not wait no longer for this store to correct the order since we had an event we had to be at at 7:30 pm. read more

I will say, there there is usually a slight wait whether you decide to drive-thru or go inside. This is because they always seem to make the food fresh/made-to-order. Unlike most other complains at this location, I've never gotten a wrong order. This is close to my home, so I've been to this location 10+ times over the last two years. The staff is always pleasant ... I've never encountered anyone I'd classify as "rude". I'll take the longer wait times as long as it continues to mean I'm getting fresh food. I have had the same experience as John L. I have been here numerous times and every time the order is wrong....every time i go back thinking things would have gotten better but same results. I love the food but it is rediculous that you can get 6 out of 6 orders wrong months apart. The time the order is fixed the rest of the food is cold. Get it right Zaxbys or you'll be out of business. The Buffalo chicken fingers with a side of onion rings are Beyond marvelous, especially dipped in a spicy sauce.... Last time I was here it was 23 degrees out, but hay, not today, 65 sweating degrees while licking my fingers to their spicy dipping sauce. I was so confused! I didn't know this place was a fast food joint. I ordered chicken strips and a Caesar salad and they were both pretty good. The chicken was tender but a bit too salty. I liked the creamy/tangy dipping sauce and the Caesar salad was pretty good for a fast food restaurant. Overall, i wasn't too excited about anything, but it served my late night chicken craving. read more

Paid 20 bucks for two people and they don't have fries! That's ridiculous. It's 1pm on a Sunday. How do you run out of fries. Not impressed. I would take your money elsewhere. Then checking up lowered it by one star because it has no napkins or condiment out to use. The straws had water spilled all over it so it was all sticky and the paper was clinging to it. Service is terrible. Food was cold by the time I get to it. So yeah, really, take your money to another place. Maybe show mars or something. They don't even deserve that one star. I have tried several times to use their app to place a carry out order. Not one time has my order been ready at the scheduled time. Today I had to wait 15 minutes and only received my order because I went up and complained. The employees at this location always seem very scattered and confused. I received my food with no drink cup or utensils. While this may seem minor, to a well run restaurant these little things are second nature and add to the overall customer experience. So where do I begin. On this day I decided to get some Zaxby's for lunch since I rarely get to leave the office. I've been craving some chicken fingers for a little while so I decided to treat myself on this beautiful Friday. When I got to this Zaxby's location, there was a line wrapped around the building almost twice. So logical thinking, I decided to go inside since there weren't many cars in the parking lot. I figured my order will come out in a decent time if not faster. So I go inside and not only do I see a line of people waiting to get their order taken, I see a ton of people waiting to get their food. So of course it's the lunch rush I'm not making a big deal or fuss about it since I was actually granted an hour of lunch today, but I should have known how bad it was going to be based off of the looks of the people who are waiting for their food. So I pay for my food and since I work 12 to 15 hours a day, I figured I'd get a salad for later. 17 bucks and 47 min later I still haven't received my food. When the cashier gave me my receipt, I looked up and heard another cashier call number 3. I was number 17. I gave the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might me moving fast let's hope I'm not here all day. But of course not. By now 7 customers are thoroughly pissed off and demanding there money back. The manager on duty kept saying it'll be out in 5 seconds, but those 5 seconds were actually another 10 min. The weird part about it, was that he wasn't trying to give everyone there money back. If someone demands a refund and they have every reason to get their money back. The manager on duty needs to honor that request, and give the patron their money back period (within reason because some people are crazy) but at the same time I understand there was frustration on both sides. But at the end of the day the customer's request needs to be honored. So by this time my lunch is just about over and my boss is calling me saying where are you at. I explain to him my situation and told him I will be there very shortly. Finally get my order and I grabbed it and I just leave before the people there get unruly. I get in the car and I decided to check it before I pull out, my fries are just about half frozen, the toast wasn't even cooked all the way, the ends of the chicken were not inspected before they put on my food, I asked for no tomatoes on the salad, and guess what I got tomatoes, on my club I ask for no tomatoes and guess what I got again tomatoes, the cheese wasn't even melted which means the chicken is cold and the chicken was cold so honestly I just want to throw this food out. I understand people work under stress while trying to get things done in a timely manner but there are some things that just are not acceptable. Now don't get me wrong my cashier was very friendly. But the manager told the cashier that they were down some people and we're running a bit behind. I understand that but when I looked behind the counter and see six people back there it's hard for me to believe that I had to wait almost an hour to get my food. And I definitely don't believe it since I used to work at Zaxby's back in the day. It only took three people to run the back for the most part even during rush hour and I worked at the one in Atlanta which is much busier than this one( as far as I have seen). I've been to this Zaxby's before and they put things on my order that I didn't ask for, even to the point where I had to park and come inside to ask him to replace it, and other multiple mistakes. But I understand because we're human and we make mistakes. But the reason I'm giving this location one-star is simply because of the attitude most the employees had there. I understand practicality you have to do what you have to do to make it everyday but don't take your attitude on the people around you. The manager didn't even care from what it looked like and did not want to give anybody their money back and kept telling them 5 to 10 seconds I promise we'll have it out to you, but when you already waited an hour you just don't have any more time to wait. I wouldn't give this a 1 star based off of the food or even the wait, but the service was just plain bad. Definitely not spending time, let alone money there ever again. I'm a big Zaxbys fan. Always have been. This location is near home so I love it. Most of the time my order is correct. If it is not it's usually something minor like giving me cole slaw when I order my meal with no slaw because I hate slaw. So it doesn't bother me much and I shrug it off. BUT their staff is a bunch of children with horrible attitudes. It's god awful. I swear mcdonalds employees are better than them. Obviously someone is letting them get away with it. I ordered food tonight in the drive through for example and upon approaching the window (mind you there was no one else in line) the young female instantly have me my total again and stuck her hand out. I hate change so I was digging for change in my console and turned to smile and apologize for my extra 30 seconds I was taking (with no one behind me) and I caught her rolling her eyes and hugging her breath. At that moment I was extremely taken back, I work in food and beverage, to do that is extremely disrespectful. So I shrugged it off as usual amounting it to a stupid teenager with no respect. THEN I found the correct change, handed it to her and she have me my food. As I went to tell her "sorry it took a second and have a good night" she slammed the window shut in my face without saying a word. I was DISGUSTED. The service and food are deplorable at this Zaxby's. They are so slow and unprofessional and at times down right rude. Stay away from this location if you want fast service and good food. I went to the new zaxby"s on avalon in muscle shoals. Ordered Two grilled caesar salads. Was in the drive- thru for a long time' The place was really busy. Good for you. When I got home discovered there was no chicken'. Busy and new, I'm sure mistakes happen. So now I get back in the car {burning 3.99 9/10 a gallon gas} and drive back to get chicken. They said they were sorry and put chicken in the salad. Now I'm home again and discover that instead of croutons there was soft cut up buns. NOT!!! Good. I should have been told you were out of croutons and offered a choice. { No salad at this time- Would you like soft cut-up buns instead? or let's skip buns instead } You know the old saying { Do me once shame on you. I visited this location on Wednesday, November 8th at around 3:00 pm on my lunch break. I got in line at the drive thru and noticed in front of me that an employee had come out to the speaker where the car right in front of me was waiting. She taped a sign to the speaker but I couldn't read it at the time. She started yelling into the speaker "hey, hey I know you can f**king hear me". I'm no saint but I thought that was highly inappropriate to say in front of customers. I heard the man at the speaker finally place his order and drive to the window. When I got to the speaker I saw that the sign said to come inside to order because their headsets were broken even though I heard the man in front of me place his order on the speaker somehow. I totally understand things happen but what made me a little upset was the fact that first of all, I waited in line and wasted almost 15 mins of my lunch break and left with nothing. Second of all, the foul mouth employee that taped the sign to the speaker just left a whole line of people waiting that couldn't see the sign when she very easily could have done the courteous thing and told them so they could carry on with their days. Also I need to note that this is not a drive thru you can just pull away from if you get tired of waiting. Once you are in line you are stuck because their is a tall curb on each side of you. That is the only reason I waited so long. I used to eat here once a week but I will not be back because of this one bad experience. It's too bad because the food is actually pretty good!
