Drive thru is extremely slow. When you get to the window, you will see that 2 employees work and 3 stand around doing nothing. The 3 standing around have ear buds in. They got most of the order right. Based on the other reviews, the problem with the store is likely a few employees doing all the work and likely overworked while others stand around. I almost feel bad for this Zaxby's. In general, Zaxby's has excellent chicken. And the buttered Texas toast = to die for. But don't come here during lunch time on a weekday. You will burn your entire lunch hour waiting around. It was a true cluster when I decided to chance my lunch hour here and there were several unhappy visitors waiting to order, then waiting for their food. It was as if they had just completely stopped making food entirely. Lunch time aside, dinner or some other unusual time would be perfect for stopping in for a bit to eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful even if the management has a serious need to plan more manning during the lunch rush. If you're in here wanting a slightly better-for-you option they do have several salads ("zalads") with either grilled or fried chicken. But beware, even the salads pack a serious amount of calories. A bonus for this Zaxby's is that I quite like the interior décor - lots of wood detail and old style bulb signs proclaiming that you enjoy your time eating here. I had never been to Zaxby's before and when my boyfriend found out, he had to correct that. We came here after work and I would absolutely come again! I liked that the nutrition facts were very easy to understand and I could easily find them online. I ended up just getting 5 chicken fingerz with wimpy sauce and original sauce. Honestly I've paid a lot more for similar quality chicken tenders! The sauces were decent, much better than typical fast food sauces you find. The restaurant itself was clean and felt nicer than most fast food places. All in all it definitely exceeded my expectations! read more

I am always here for a good grilled chicken caesar salad. Here at Zaxby's they are very tasty and the chicken is grilled to perfection. Today the drive thru line was pretty long, but it moved rapidly. I was actually very impressed at how fast we received our food. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because and I know, I know this could have been prevented had I checked my bag. I leave Zaxby's, approximately 10-15 minutes away and decided to enjoy my salad while waiting for my son to finish band rehearsal. I looked in the bag and there is NO FORK. This cannot be real right now and I am soooooo hungry. Needless to say I ate a few pieces of chicken and some croutons. Only my second visit to this (or any) Zaxbys and probably my last. The person taking my order was not rude but not overly friendly either. Whatever happened to a welcome or hello and a smile? I ordered the traditional wings and things. They gave my order to the person ahead of me and gave me theirs. When I asked if I had the correct order, they realized their mistake, and then told me they checked it out and corrected it. They did not. What I received were mushy, heavily breaded pieces of chicken that were not enjoyable and boneless wings that were okay. The crinkle cuts fries are fine, but after a few minutes of cooling, not so good. I wanted just chicken but apparently, at Zaxby's you have to order a whole meal, including drink. This is not what I wanted. Even though there was only two people ahead of me, it still took 13 minutes to receive my food. On our previous visit, our order took 21 minutes! Fast or even semi-fast food this is not. When I filled out my Zaxby's survey I asked to be contacted by the management. As a new customer, perhaps I do not understand their menu or ordering. I wanted to ask questions to be fair. However, after two weeks, I've not heard from them so I guess they do not care. read more

Ordered via mobile, found spot, parked. Waited 10-15 minutes past time order was to be ready & no food. Curbside pick up was the only option besides delivery. Called to check & got "yeah uhh can you just come inside?" Go in to pick up my order. "You're the mobile order?" Me: yes. Him: "yeah here you go". He set it on the counter and walked away. No apology, no explanation, no customer service. No comment on ambience as the dining room was closed I assume because they can't hire/keep employees. I got in my car and opened the bag. I spent $20+ on poorly made food and even worse customer service. It's no wonder the dining room is closed and they can't hire workers. I love Zaxby's food when it is well prepared and the management and staff care about service and quality. This review is about this location only. We visited this location twice in 2 years. The first time the food was not well prepared but not worse than other locations have been at times. The service was slow. The second visit was just a pop in to see how badly staffed the restaurant was and to leave it promptly. There were two workers in the restaurant: a cashier and a cook. They seem to be nice people placed in a bad situation by their managers. Both workers appeared burned out by the job. So to the managers of this Zaxby's: do better. It's your store. When you don't have employees to cover the restaurant, come in yourself or close it down for the day. read more

Every time I've been to a zaxby's it's exceptional service and good food but this location was the complete opposite. Food took over 15 minutes to come out when there was no one in the drive through line in front of us, when food was finally brought out, salads had no dressing or forks, drinks were missing and after asking for them the staff brought out the wrong drinks, and and had of the food was completely cold. read more

This location's food is good but their customer service is horrible. Every time I go, I get someone who obviously doesn't want to be there and would rather be sitting in the middle of the interstate at rush hour. Tonight I told them no drink three times with the kid's meal I ordered. I was given one anyway. There was no thank you to me as the customer for getting my dinner from their drive-thru and no thank you when I paid. And when I ask for Ranch dipping sauce for six chicken fingers, I was reluctantly given one pack...for six pieces! Bao needs to find a new job or learn some customer service manners. This Zaxby's is new in the area and has definitely improved in service and food prep. I didn't like that my wings weren't fried crispy enough compared to other Zaxby's I've eaten at. I started requesting that the wings get fried a little longer. There's a lot of young people working here and that's not the problem. The problem is that the staff seem to not take customer service as seriously. Just to place an order recently was a painful event. I waited so long for my order and I had to drive 4 hours to work. I thought I was getting fast food....the manager was hands on person so he helped to expedite my meal. Things will probably get better in time. read more

My wife and I just ordered through the drive through window today, and the experience was horrendous. The order, taker was impatient when taking the order, as we could hear it in her voice and responded se to questions we asked. So we get to the window, there was no greeting, no smile, just business as usual. She took our card with no interaction, just turned her back and shut the window. When the food was ready she says "here you go " no thank you , no have a nice day, no smile. The food was also not good, chicken was salty, the salad was ugly, and nothing was tasty at all. Let me start off by saying that I am from Ohio and we do not have Zaxbys. I just so happened to be going to Carowinds and I saw there was a brand new Zaxbys down the street. The ratings were bad, so I was really skeptical. My food was fast, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My chicken fingers were nice and crispy, bread was delicious, and fries were only.
