The great thing about them; that it is not just you typical chicken strips and fries. It goes beyond on that. Ranges from strips, wings, salads, sandwiches and etc. they are known for their peach tea. Plus they offer other drink offerings too. From padded booth seats to regular tables and tall tables with stools. The tables do not have padding. If you want extra padding/support. Recommend the booth type of seating. If it seems too crowded. Zaxbys needs to fire their head chef at corporate headquarters and go back to the drawing board on their chicken. It's overpriced over cooked and underwhelming to say the least. I had never been to a Zaxbys before so when I had the opportunity today I stopped at the Gulfport location. First impressions are everything and what I experienced as soon as I walked in the door was not good. Several off duty employees hanging out by the front register shooting the breeze with the cashier! I actually had to wait for them to finish chetting it up to place my order, considered walking out and wished I had. I really wasnt in the mood for a meal but a good salad woulda hit the spot. I ordered a Fried Cobb salad and what I got was an overpriced mix of iceberg lettuce with a sliced hardboiled egg and a cup full of dried out chicken pieces. Went on opening day and it was super busy. This has to be one of the nicest fast food restaurants I've ever been to. This PLACE IS GOING DOWN HILL FAST. Have been a customer since they opened. Loved the food and staff, until resonantly .My last 2 visits have been not up to their usual standards. About a week apart, Ordered a 6 piece chicken strips dinner, both time. First order ,had a Cob salad to go with the 6 piece, Half a salad I should say. Tray was half full. 2 of the chicken strips were very small, one was so small it looked like a finger size piece of chicken with a skirt of breading , so over cooked it was like chicken jerky. Just left their with the second Bad order of strips, ordered a 6 piece with extra cold slaw. She gave me the total and I knew it was not right then from the start. Got to the window she said, you ordered a 4 piece with extra PICKLES?? I said no I had ordered a 6 piece with extra slaw. She re rang it and $14 total. She hands me the bag and I check it, sure enough 4 piece, did have HALF a cup of cold slaw. So I go around the building ,park, go inside, told the kid the problem . He said oh I'll give you a refund and you can keep the food. I said no , I want the other 2 pieces of chicken, still had to feed my husband. So he tells the kitchen staff he needs 2 more strips, to witch they smirk and throw him a box , with what is clearly one strip that came apart in cooking, calling it 2 strips. I waved the TINY piece of chicken at them and said , sarcastically , "Oh we are now calling this a strip?" took my food and left. Should have took the refund and went back through the drive through, might have gotten a full order. Keep this up and I won't bother coming through AT ALL. We come here several times a month. I was never a fan of Zaxby's because of a bad experience I had many years ago. Let me tell you, I'm glad I came back. The service is excellent and the food was delicious. I absolutely love that the workers have great manners and are extremely polite. The Christian music they play explains why their service is so much better than the competitors. I always get the chicken finger plate and the chicken is always hot and fresh. It seems like they cook it to order as I have been there on busy and slow nights with the same level of consistency in the food quality. I will be back, keep up the good work! read more

This is the first time I've ever been to a Zaxby's restaurant. The place was clean and quaint. We enjoyed reading the pictures on the walls. They were humorous . The bathroom's were especially clean. That's always a plus, right? As far as the food goes....meh. It was pretty overcooked. I'll certainly give it another try though. BTW I'm still a huge Raising Canes fan!!! Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the manager was friendly. If not for her, it wouldn't deserve one. We went through the drive thru which wasn't a long line nor were there a lot of cars in the parking lot. Girl working the window, younger black girl was the rudest person I've encountered. Was asked to pull forward past the window to get my food, along with 3 other cars. The guy brings me a huge sack of food and walks away. Turns out, that wasn't my food. He brings me another bag of food which is only half of my order. Me and my 4 year old, who left with no shoes on because we didn't plan on going in anywhere have to go inside to get all of our order. I can't prove what I ordered because the rude girl in the window didn't give me a receipt then she argued with me about what I ordered. But the nice manager girl came along and tried to fix it. She got my number and name but we shall wait and see what they do about it. read more
