At the risk of sounding hateful, this Zaxby's needs some MAJOR work. Lazy, unhelpful employees cause businesses to sink all of the time and that's totally the direction this place is headed. Husband and I ordered our food in the drive thru. Even from my car I could hear a lot of laughing/commotion inside, at which point the poor woman working the window had to literally yell at the other employees to be quiet because she couldn't hear while taking an order. We got two salads. Luckily the husband had the forethought to look through the bag before we pulled out of the parking lot, because instead of salad dressing, there was two packets of ketchup in our bag. Really? REALLY???? One packet of ketchup each...for salads. Husband had to go inside and get the salad dressings we ordered. Thankfully my Cobb salad tasted fresh enough, although the hard boiled egg wasn't chopped- just a whole egg sitting in the bowl. My cucumber was the same way. Pretend you got Raising Caine's and let it sit on your dashboard for a couple of hours. Then take some Prego sauce, dump a bunch of salt and cayenne pepper into it, and pour that over your chicken. Ta Da! Zaxby's chicken fingers in insane sauce are disgusting. The plain chicken fingers are fine but not as good or fresh as Caine's. The zax sauce is fine, the ranch is meh. Honestly, though, why is there oregano and/or basil in the hot sauce? I asked if I could have extra fries instead of coleslaw, they said I could. However they did not give me the extra fries at all. I know because the meal I ordered with coleslaw had the exact number of wet crinkle fries as the 'double fries' meal. The drink that comes with the meal is an exercise in cup volume magic. It's as tall as an adult drink cup but the volume of a child's drink. Thick styrofoam and a narrow profile packed with ice makes a fountain drink here even more of a scam than usual. To be fair if you love that rabbit pellet ice you might pay anything for it. Adding insult to injury, they charge you 1.50 to drown your chicken in that foul gravy. Never again. read more

I was surprised to see a Zaxby's in Texas. I thought they were only located back home in the Georgia Florida areas. As soon as I saw it I screamed "Zaxby's " my husband was like "Really ok let's do it.!" Upon entry it was clean I mean very clean the tables were wiped off, the floor was free of trash and crumbs, it was very comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful. The manager was going from table to table greeting and talking with customers who were dining in. It was pretty nice. There uniforms were on point & they were nicely groomed. ( this really matters to me) My husband and I ordered the snack pack and ate it on the way to run more errands. Soooooooooooooooooooo good. I took a few pics but basically this food was devoured lol lol. I've never been disappointed here. The Resturant is always clean and the food is always delicious. It's an interesting concept, almost like a fast food chain turned Resturant. The inside is nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating. The chicken.. Oh the chicken. It's so good!! The portions are definitely oversized but who would ever complain about that?! Had a bad experience last Sunday, 9-10-23...ordered the Cobb salad along with a funnel cake. When we paid with a twenty dollar bill, the cashier in the drive through failed to give us any dollars for the change for the twenty. When he did hand us our coin change, he missed my husband's hand and the change fell to the ground. I looked in the bag to see if everything was there, which it appeared to be, so we drove home. We started eating our food and hubby noted that the funnel cake was hard as heck, and they failed to include any caramel sauce that came with it. My salad was good, but I noticed it seemed different than the Cobb salad I had ordered the previous week. Well, after looking again at the menu item online, I realized that it should have included a whole egg, along with fried crispy onion ring pieces, and some cucumber pieces. So it was similar, but not quite right. When I went to double check our receipt, I discovered that they had wrung it up as a Southwest Salad, which is not what I had ordered. So in hindsight, next time I'll thoroughly check my order to be certain that we get what we ordered and what we paid for, prior to driving off. read more

This is the feedback I sent to Zaxbys: I ordered the fish basket. My wife ordered the chicken basket. The server (a young man) delivered two chicken baskets. When I said I ordered a chicken basket I was told I didn't. My son-in-law backed me up by saying "he did order the fish basket". The server then said "Well, I can't take it back." 1. Customer service is poor, especially telling the customer he was wrong. 2. Then 'guilting the customer by implying 'well we'll have to throw it out if you don't take it" hmm, not my idea of encouraging a future visit I told him "I'll eat the chicken." So, Zaxbys did get a sale...but they won't ever get another sale from me nor my son-in-laws family and this review will be posted here - Yelp.. The chicken was OK, a little too salty for my taste. Frys were OK. I didn't know you could get no taste cabbage for coleslaw and claim it was coleslaw by adding cheap mayonnaise. I could see why Zaxbys would need something that had NO flavor whatsoever to balance out the salty fried chicken. Maybe that was their intent? The staff at this location is rude, childish, and unprofessional. I hate coming here but I don't have a Zaxbys on my side of town so when I get a chance I'll usually stop by and every time whether drive through or dine in it's a bad experience. I love Zaxby's from the first time I ate there in Atlanta and South Carolina. Some how I found this location and fell in love but after eating here second time all the food to be fryed in very old "cooking grease" and have a very bad taste over all I love Zaxby's and will definitely be back here to eat again hopefully they have better tasteing fryed chicken fingers and french fries. Two things. On 02/01/2021 cole slaw was room temp in my to go container. It was soured and just gross. Got 2 meals to go. No katsup was included for fries. Really who eats fries without katsup. Went to this location to try it out for the first time and gotta say I'm a little in between. Food was ok, chicken was small and it took 20 minutes for it to come out and the workers were horrendous. Starting closing before all customers were served and saw one eating at the drive through around 9:40. Overall I'd say drive a little more down to Raising canes, way worth it and more bang for your buck. read more

We'd just arrived from church at 10:30am (when they open) and ordered. I asked for fresh lemons because the bucket they had out was from the night before. The manager seemed irritated at my request. Next they brought out my salad, it had cheese... I asked for no cheese. The manager just took the tray from me didn't make any eye contact, tossed it on the counter... yelled at the cook in Spanish and as I was apologizing and telling him I'm sorry if I upset you but I have a dairy allergy...he ignored me and walked away. Allllllllll of this time there was a Zaxby's in Houston and I spent dayyyyyysssss day dreaming about it.....the nearest one is 30 min away from me and I'll happily drive it again. First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. I went w/ the chicken strips and wing meal served w/ toast, fries, celery, and a drink for $10. The wings were really good and spicy. The chicken strips were delicious and didn't need the dipping sauces. The fries were freshly cooked a d really good too. The toast was probably my favorite item. Zaxby's gives Chik-fil-a serious competition any day in my opinion. Their Chicken is tasty but a little too salty for me and does require a very large drink when you eat a meal there. What I love are the crinkle fries, Texas Toast and the Zaxby sauce. What I don't like is the how difficult it can be to get into their parking lot given it's only got one entrance off of busy FM 1960. Another entrance off of Fallbrook would work well. For a snack I'd pull in and grab some again. The sides they offer are all deep fried things and starch. Celery was the only green thing besides the salads I saw on the menu. I'd do 4 stars if they had some green beans or fried okra. I don't eat wings but my wife does and she loved them. Sauces run the gamut from bbq to nuclear. She got the tongue torch and said it was the perfect heat. She got the boned ones but they do offer boneless...that just seems wrong. Boneless wings are chicken fingers right? We had 5 wings (naked) with fries, one chicken salad sandwich (no fries) and one drink. The wings were far from good, the fries were far from crisp, and the toast seemed like it had been sitting for a few hours. and one soft drink. I visit Zaxby's since I was around the area and the cashier (MALIA) btw was very rude I understand the job sucks but I am the customer anyways I ordered my food and I see that on my order my chicken is stale and cold btw so I told the cashier and she said okay give me 5 minutes I said okay! So next thing I get my plate with my food and the same pieces were still on my plate so I called the manager and then the cashier tried to argue with me. So manager said he will replace it with 10 wings tongue torch since that was my sauce I ordered so I get my order back and I got regular wings like really!!! This ruined my whole experience!!! I first have to rave about the fantastic service here. The people working were friendly, happy to answer questions, and the manager came around to each table as we were eating to make sure all was ok. He even offered to get us a refill on our drinks, although we did not take him up on it as that seemed to far above the call of duty. It really left an impression on us, for a fast food joint to take the time to do so. Also, the place is incredibly clean. The décor is nice, with a dark ceiling, and wooden benches and floors, and a neutral shade of paint on the walls. For a fast food joint it was pretty nice inside. The outside does not match the interior for sure. Sadly the food was nothing to special. Nothing truly wrong with it, but not really worth the calories. Just your average run of the mill chicken tenders and fries. They had some little chicken slider sandwiches that looked good, maybe those are more impressive, but we didn't try them. The Zax sauce was VERY salty, and tasted like a knock off version of Canes sauce from Raisin Canes. NO fault of this location however, as it is prepackaged. I really wish we had liked the food, because we loved the little restaurant and as mentioned the staff. read more
