I had a really disappointing experience at this Zaxby's. I asked if I could have a chicken sandwich without the bread and if they could wrap it in lettuce instead (a pretty simple dietary request). The cashier immediately got rude and snapped, "We don't do that here." Not only was the tone uncalled for, but afterward she and the other employees started talking about me within earshot. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and left me feeling disrespected as a customer. I've given this Zaxby's multiple attempts. My last straw is when I placed an online order today (like I usually would if getting food) and they told me MY order had been taken already??? I told them I'M the order placer so I'm confused why it was taken. I then proceed to sit in front of the drive thru box and say hello three times... no answer. I pull around to the window and ask to speak to a manager - they're telling me that my order was picked up and they're getting my order together. Waiting is not the issue. The issue I have is being talked to condescending by the staff. WHY am I the customer, being made feel bad that MY order was given to the wrong person? They have SO much turnover it's no wonder this place is a mess. This will be my last time I come back, since the last time I placed an online order for 20 wings they only gave me 15. 5 stars. Elaina's service, impeccable. The staff, including Katie as well, were dedicated to our wellbeing and enjoyment of our experience. Our orders, correct the very second time. No fault of Elaina or Katie. They ensured our food was fresh and ready to go. The tenders were an extravagant display of chickeneer prowess. The folks at Zax know how to make it right. The crispy exterior had little impact on the structure of the interior, and my colleague and I were left satisfied and astounded by our experience. The Zax sauce may be the best sauce in the state, nay, the country. The dichotomy between the fries and the extra large medium drink paralleled in ways which emphasized the prowess of the labor standard. The USA should distribute Zax meals via airdrop to communities in need, considering these combos are the best meals money can buy. I rest my case. Never again. Instead of enjoying the Super Bowl tonight I'm taking time to write this review. Most reviews are based off one bad experience. However, this review is based off two experiences with the same exact results. Zaxbys has a buy one get one free special through their app, you order, you show up, they tell you to pull up and wait. And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait! I'm extremely patient, I've worked in restaurants most of my adult life. At this point no one had come through the drive-through, and nobody had gone into the restaurant, so there's no new orders coming in. Since this happened to me once before, I set a timer on my phone because I didn't want to exaggerate how long I have been outside, waiting. 12 minutes have passed by and I know it doesn't take 12 minutes to make 20 boneless wings. I walk in and what do I see sitting on the counter getting cold? My dinner. Keep in mind this is already happened to me once before. The last time it was the same exact story! When I asked to speak to the manager, I asked her why is my food sitting here? Why is nobody helping me? The manager who is wearing a MTV sweatshirt (wonder how Zaxby's Inc. feels about that) gives me a weak excuse of them being shorthanded, and they're busy. There was about seven or eight people in the kitchen and about 3 or 4 people upfront. I've got news for you that is not shorthanded. I've worked at Zaxby's before so don't BS me with your pathetic excuses. Also, since I've been sitting here waiting, I've seen nobody coming into your restaurant or come through your drive-through. I'm from Georgia and grew up with Zaxby's all around. While Zaxbys isn't anything sensational. They do have good tenders, salads and wings. They fries, no matter where you go, I've been to many, are always wet/soggy I don't know why, it is an odd issue. However, the quality of the chicken, the uniqueness of the sauce ( yes, nothing special, but does go well with the meal), and the bread and coleslaw included make for a solid meal for around $8. We tried Zaxby's as we had never been here and Our go to chick fila (CFA ) was closed. I got the salad which was a decent size. Husband got the chicken club sandwich with crinkle fries. It was good, price was more than CFA and they charge .25 cents per extra sauce requested. If your a wing fan they do have wings. Service was okay, they were out of a few things that night. Smaller cups a few of the salad dressings. Tables in dining room weren't cleaned. We left full but not the feeling that we have to come back. Nothing stood out. read more

I don't typically get Zaxby's. It can be a bit pricey for what I consider on the same level as fast food. But the value for your money is on point. They have some excellent chicken here. Add the Zax sauce and you've got something pretty awesome I think. I usually get the "Zalads" to make myself feel better about eating fried chicken. If not that, the good ol' plate of chicken fingers, fries and such makes for a filling meal that you will regret in due time. As far as service goes, I'm sure I echo the sentiments of previous reviewers and generally any fast food patron that it sucks. I don't expect much from high schoolers taking my money and handing me some food. I'm also not a fan of the blatant Christian-leaning bias of most Zaxby's restaurants. Zaxby's is a welcome replacement at this location for the tired old Wendy's that used to be there. All the sudden, the place is bright and clean and filled with smiling and service oriented folks working there vs. the sad sack crew that used to be at the Wendy's. I'm not a big chicken fingers fan as they are so ubiquitous that you can get them anywhere. But... Zaxby's does have a pretty good chicken salad sandwich and I really like their Cajun Club sandwich. If I could give this place negative stars I would. The service is absolutely terrible. The manager with glasses and long hair is extremely rude and disrespectful. This was my go to fast food place and I will never eat here again. We ordered and tipped for delivery... and the messed our order up. Giving us no sauce at all not even ranch (which we paid for) we ordered extra seasoning on fries and they came completely bare and soggy. We called and asked for sauces to be delivered since we had none and we paid for it, and she told us we have to come get it. So we drove all the way there, when the point of delivery was not to have to drive, waste my gas for a service I paid for and then to get there and be treated so poorly by the staff is just ridiculous. By the time we finished arguing with the manager, we had asked for a whole new meal since it will have been 45 since we got our food delivered and it was going to be cold and soggy. And she said she couldn't do that for reasons or excuses being they can't give out free food... free food? We just paid $30 for food plus delivery and now having to drive a total of over 30 minutes for our sauce? Absolutely ridiculous. She said she could give us new fries since they were the only thing "wrong".... So she gave us one small box of fries. But while our whole reason for driving there was our sauces, they handed us a bag with all Zaxby sauces. None of the sauces we ordered and paid for. This all happened because they made the mistake of not putting any not a single sauce in our meal and then it became our problem. After ordering my Buffalo Blue Zalad and Spicy Fried Mushrooms the two employees and manager at the window decided to ignore me as I continued to sit at the drive-thru window waiting to request ranch sauce instead of Zestable for my mushrooms. I sat for 10 minutes until another customer pulled up behind me. At this point I turned my car off as the staff deliberately ignored me. He told me their signature sandwich (I don't remember the name), it was basically 3 chicken strips between 2 pieces of Texas toast, it wasn't good and I would never get it again. They were big in size for wings, pretty meaty. Those I would get again. But the price was $1 each wing, nothing at all to "rush" back for. The tenders were average but everything else was not that good. The ranch tasted like bottled ranch, the fries were just basic crinkle cut with minimal seasoning, there was a piece of toast with no butter or flavor, and lastly the slaw smelled and tasted out of date and was immediately tossed.
