Not the worst decision I have made recently. For the most part, this is your standard Krystal location. I opted to grab the goods via the drive thru. When I pulled up, I was promptly greeted, order taken and told to pull around. Service at the speaker was a bit friendlier than at the window though. Ordered a #1 with cheese and a Coke Zero. Nothing too crazy, so did not double check anything until I was ready to eat. I then noticed 2 of my 4 Krystal were missing the cheese. Clearly nothing major to turn around for, but when you pay for something and place a fairly simple order, you shouldn't be hard pressed to expect it to be right. May be more forgiving if they were busy, but I was the only car in the drive thru. Overall, this location served its purpose on my recent road trip. Would I get off this exit specifically for this Krystal again, probably not.

While driving along I-24 heading from Chattanooga to Nashville, I stopped off at Exit 152 and pulled into Waffle House for lunch. I sat myself at the counter and the waitress with a charming Southern accent gave me a regular laminated menu and took my drink order. I asked for a Diet Coke and requested the Fifteen Meals For $5 Each Menu. For lunch, I decided on Grilled Cheese, Regular Bert's Chili and a Diet Coke for $5 plus tax. The food came out quickly served hot. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich was basic and good, the bread was buttered and grilled nicely on the outside with melted orange American cheese inside, cut into 2 triangles. The bowl of chili was hearty which had plenty of ground beef and beans, slightly on the salty side. Saltine crackers, dill pickle slices and mayo served on the side. The service here was very friendly and efficient. I was given refills on the ice cold Diet Coke and the waitress even offered me a to go cup filled with ice cold Diet Coke, which was a "nice gesture custom" (of Southern hospitality) unheard of back where I live in New England. I usually top off my own fountain soda cups at fast food restaurants. I definitely needed the ice cold Diet Coke for my drive to Nashville in the 88 degree summer heat.

Nothing that a little salt and hot sauce won't fix. I can't speak to the burgers or the 'cue but the onion rings looked terrific. Everything fried was freshly fried and properly cooked. The price to value ratio is excellent, with nothing on the menu topping $10.
