We stayed in the Trenton area for a few days and made 3 trips to Jefferson's. We enjoyed the camaraderie with the staff and a few locals at the bar. Tried several dishes and enjoyed each one. They have great daily specials. We enjoyed an evening of Trivia on our last visit there. A young man bartender named Moon was a delight. We look forward to stopping back when traveling in the Trenton area.

I have to confess that this was not our first choice after hiking at the state park but it was one of the few open on a Monday afternoon this past week. We were hungry after 4 hours of hiking and they were very welcoming when we called to inquire about dine in services. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately greeted and seated. We wanted a special drink to share so we asked for their bar drink menu. They certainly had lots of choices of mixed drinks... some I had not even heard of. We were chatting with our server and all of a sudden there were two more servers commenting on drinks as we asked what was in them, etc. I love restaurants where servers are this friendly. One recommended a couple of the drinks and having never tried one of them we chose the not so nicely named Leg Spreader. It was pretty good and probably sneaks up on you because we could not taste hardly any alcohol. It was pretty good... if you love honeydew melons you will love it; if not try something else. Overall, it was good but not sure if we would order it again. Sometimes you have to stick with the classics. Although they had some healthy choices on their menu (and that is my typical choice), I decided to indulge and ordered a philly cheesesteak which I have not had in many, many years with a side salad. My husband ordered one of their specialty burgers with some french fries. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and wow, did my cheesesteak look good... no photos because I was so hungry I just dove in and completely forgot. It was served open faced. I polished that baby off in no time. It was so good. Full of onions, peppers, even banana peppers and just the right amount of cheese so that it complimented the other items and didn't overbear them. If the roll had been grilled just a tad bit longer so that it stayed a bit more firmer, it would have been utter perfection. My husband enjoyed his burger and fixings... he ended up not eating his roll. He also was happy with his french fries. I did not hear any complaints from him and I was probably too involved in my cheesesteak experience anyways but I have to assume he liked his late lunch, also. Overall, the servers were great. The drink was so good after 4 hours of hiking and we were very happy they were open for dine in. I forgot to even mention that my side salad was pleasantly a decent size and I have to assume that if the side salad was that good that their full size ones are probably excellent. Thanks for the memories, Jeffersons. You were a pleasant surprise.

We came by for a lunch while in the area the week of July 4th. Jeffersons has a very much sports bar vibe and menu. We were seated right away and ordered our naked wings and salad, Spicy garlic wings and sweet potato fries and Buffalo chicken wrap. We had fun looking at all the one dollar bills attached to the walls. Our meals came out in a timely manor and our food was fair, very much what we expected. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu and specials.

Great service and very unique atmosphere. But the burger was quite dry and not much flavor. The fries were delicious though.

Turn over is high staff doesn't seem to be trained well. Menu changed so it's weird to eat nachos with no chili or any kind of bean salsa.

It's so cold in Jefferson's you can see your breath. That would be great in August but it's January.

Great wings, great prices, great service! Surprisingly, for a wing place, their oysters are awesome, too!

I made reservations about a week in advance (highly recommend), and even arriving a few minutes early at 5:00 pm, the place was already buzzing. The hostess greeted us immediately and had us seated right away. Our server was on it from the start: waters filled, drink orders taken quickly, and excellent guidance on appetizers. We went with the tomato pie, which sounds simple... but don't be fooled. The flavors are anything but basic. This is not an appetizer you politely share and move on from. It's plenty for four people, though you may find yourself quietly plotting how to secure the last bite. For our mains, we shared the warm beet salad and the beef picanha. The salad had such a great flavor pairing that even my husband, who is not a beet fan, loved it (a true culinary miracle). The picanha was incredibly flavorful and may very well be the best thing on the menu... except for the mashed potatoes. Honestly, I would go back just to order my own bowl of those mashed potatoes and call it dinner. Amazing service, outstanding food, and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back very soon.

Then, Victoria (primarily) did a fine job keeping up with our large group. It had gotten dark so didn't get full advantage of the nice view but the rustic feel inside was appropriate. I started with the tomato soup which had an interesting dollop of crab meat in the middle to jazz it up. Some got the bacon instead as first course & it was good (sans the jalapeño for me). My main course choice was the broiled snapper with mashed sweet potatoes & beans. Very tasty (though the sides might have been warmer). To close, a very nice pecan pie tartlet, I'll call it with ample whipped cream - right up my alley!

We ended up sharing a salad, which was delicious. It was had the perfect amount of dressing on it. We ended up splitting the bacon appetizer. The bacon was delicious the little biscuits that came with it were not my favorite. We ended up splitting the flounder which was absolutely positively stuffed with crab meat. It was so delicious. It was a smaller size portion, but we did split it and it was perfect enough because it was so buttery and delicious. We ended up getting a dessert because we were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and we ended up splitting the fried apple pie, which I could've licked the plate. It was so delicious. It was a lovely evening. We sat out on the patio. Great food great service. It was really a special night. Everyone said happy anniversary is to us which made it extra special. Kind of wish they would've given me a glass of champagne or a free dessert for our anniversary but maybe next time. Cheers. $$$$
