Mid afternoon stop while traveling through Trenton. Nice, clean place with laid back music piping overhead. Some of the best lemon pepper wings I've ever had, hot, juicy & flavorful. My DH enjoyed the fish tacos with asian zing sauce and the potato salad tasted like home. The taco's also come within jalapeno sauce if you look it spicier. Emma took good care of us cheerfully. We stayed in the Trenton area for a few days and made 3 trips to Jefferson's. We enjoyed the camaraderie with the staff and a few locals at the bar. Tried several dishes and enjoyed each one. They have great daily specials. We enjoyed an evening of Trivia on our last visit there. A young man bartender named Moon was a delight. I have to confess that this was not our first choice after hiking at the state park but it was one of the few open on a Monday afternoon this past week. We were hungry after 4 hours of hiking and they were very welcoming when we called to inquire about dine in services. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately greeted and seated. We wanted a special drink to share so we asked for their bar drink menu. They certainly had lots of choices of mixed drinks... some I had not even heard of. We were chatting with our server and all of a sudden there were two more servers commenting on drinks as we asked what was in them, etc. I love restaurants where servers are this friendly. One recommended a couple of the drinks and having never tried one of them we chose the not so nicely named Leg Spreader. It was pretty good and probably sneaks up on you because we could not taste hardly any alcohol. It was pretty good... if you love honeydew melons you will love it; if not try something else. Overall, it was good but not sure if we would order it again. Sometimes you have to stick with the classics. Although they had some healthy choices on their menu (and that is my typical choice), I decided to indulge and ordered a philly cheesesteak which I have not had in many, many years with a side salad. My husband ordered one of their specialty burgers with some french fries. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and wow, did my cheesesteak look good... no photos because I was so hungry I just dove in and completely forgot. It was served open faced. I polished that baby off in no time. It was so good. Full of onions, peppers, even banana peppers and just the right amount of cheese so that it complimented the other items and didn't overbear them. If the roll had been grilled just a tad bit longer so that it stayed a bit more firmer, it would have been utter perfection. My husband enjoyed his burger and fixings... he ended up not eating his roll. He also was happy with his french fries. I did not hear any complaints from him and I was probably too involved in my cheesesteak experience anyways but I have to assume he liked his late lunch, also. Overall, the servers were great. The drink was so good after 4 hours of hiking and we were very happy they were open for dine in. I forgot to even mention that my side salad was pleasantly a decent size and I have to assume that if the side salad was that good that their full size ones are probably excellent. We came by for a lunch while in the area the week of July 4th. Jeffersons has a very much sports bar vibe and menu. We were seated right away and ordered our naked wings and salad, Spicy garlic wings and sweet potato fries and Buffalo chicken wrap. We met some family and gave this place a try for the first time. I have to say they have plenty of offerings on the menu and specialize in wings and bar food. Something for everyone from burgers, wings, various sandwiches, other chicken offerings, etc. They have beer and wine too. We walked right in even having a large group and were seated right away. They were pretty busy but have plenty of seating. That's where the service kind of ended. We had our drink orders taken right away but took a while to get them and refills were slow and had to remind them several times as server forgot we wanted refills. The food took forever. We were there over two hours if that tells you anything. I saw several people leave without eating and i presume it was because of the slow service. So dont go if you dont have time to kill. I will say the food was very good and all were large portions. Nobody left hungry and most had to-go boxes. The burgers were big and tasty and the various wings were very good and come with choice of heat/sauce. The pricing was a little high for bar food but like i said, you get plenty and it was very good. I wish i could give another star but the wait was ridiculous. We would have normally left also but we had good company and family to visit with. Maybe it was just an off night but seemed they had plenty of help. I have only visited this business a handful of times since they opened. I'm not sure if they are understaffed or why things are usually slow. I have never had the same server twice so it isn't just one person's issue. It usually takes awhile to get drinks, order and then get food. The food is always hot and tastes great. This is our second time eating at Jefferson's in Trenton. The food was amazing just like the first time we ate here about 7 months ago. We live in Chattanooga so it's a long drive or we'd eat here more often. Tonight we did have little bit of a wait between drinks getting to our table but we didn't mind. Our server was extremely busy (it's a Saturday night) and she did her best. Jefferson's has good bar style food. I've eaten at this location several times for lunch. The Philly is very tasty, their wings are quite good, fried pickles are some of the best around, and they have raw oysters. The only issue is that they are insanely slow. Expect to spend every bit of an hour there during lunch, whether you want to or not. I haven't had anything from the bar, but it looks like a good selection of beer and booze, especially for Trenton. read more

Disappointed. Had not tried the Trenton location so decided to give it a try. It took forever to get acknowledged by our server. We ordered and seemed like forever before our food finally arrived. I had fried oysters which were so over cooked they were like leather. My wife had a burger and it was also over cooked. Would have sent it back but we never saw our server again. Had to go find her to get the check to leave. She was occupied with some of the lineman students flirting. Won't be back and don't recommend. read more
