With it being my first time at this location, my daughter and I decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat on a Sunday around 5pm. The line in the drive thru was pretty long but I figured it was due to the time of day so we patiently waited. Once it was our turn to order, we decided on the #1, a Big Zax Snak (3 chicken fingers & fries) and the #3, a Wings & Things (5 wings, 3 chicken fingers & fries). For the wings, my daughter wanted them coated in bbq sauce and we both ordered our drinks. For some reason, the associate taking the order could not comprehend all that we were ordering and it literally took us repeating the same order several times before he understood...or so we thought. As we approached the first window to pay the $30 for the food, which is absurd, we asked that he read back our order to ensure it was correct and unfortunately, he still read it back to us wrong. After we carefully explained what we asked for, he read it back to us correctly. We pull up to the next window to receive our food and thankfully I checked the bag before we left because it was not correct. There was a sandwich in the bag and other additional items that we did not order. We were asked to provide our receipt and waited patiently in hopes they could figure it out. Once we received our food and checked the bag, we realized the wings were coated in the wrong sauce but we had zero patience left and drove off. The food was mediocre. The chicken fingers were smaller than I remember but I hadn't been to a Zaxby's in years so things could have changed over time. I'm hoping our recent experience with Zaxby's was due to happenstance and not how they normally operate because if so, I'd probably never return. read more

I went here in May I posted my picture on my Instagram, but I cant get the picture to upload on here because I forgot to share to my Facebook I went to it when it was newly opened I came here to park and I waited till the time it opened but I don't know what the inside looks like or is like because when I went to the door it was still locked and lobby was not going to open. So I went back to car and went through drive thru. I think the drive thru person couldn't hear right, but I just ordered the Zax box with strawberry lemonade. I would say the strawberry lemonade was the best out of the whole meal. The crinkle fries were ok. the chicken tenders were small the toast was ok. Would I go back I would probably go back, but I think not anytime soon, I will try their other options of food on the menu and get more drinks. read more

We've tried Zaxby in the past when we went on a road trip in the south and we loved it so when this location close to home opened we were very excited. We tried this when it first opened and stood in line to order and items from the menu were not available and the food took very very long to come out. We ordered the chicken tenders meal and it was okay, I remembered them being really really good back in the day. Maybe we need to come back and give it another go but I wasn't impressed this go around. read more

Great food. Slow and the older lady cashier was rude. I would not recommend this place at all.

I'm so upset they charged me $30 for 10 wings and chicken quesadilla the wings were so hard they were like days old. These people are so disgusting. Do not waste your time going to this one. read more

The finger licking chicken sandwich is my go to meal. It's has just a nice kick and smashed between two Texas bread that is buttered well. Yum! The seasoning on their fries just adds that umph of goodness to your meal. Every time I'm in town I stop by at least once to pick up food. read more

I was really excited that Zaxby's was in this area. Unfortunately, I have to give the food one star The first three times my order was horrible incomplete and I'm pretty sure it was due to staffing issues new restaurant opening up not enough people the dining area it was not open. This is my fourth time and last time placed an order for sweet and spicy wings cooked extra hard with a large fry the ;wings were not cooked , the way I requested and cold when I got home I had to put them in the air fryer and add additional seasoning. read more

The food and some of their staff is very good here, but the star review is solely for the manager. She is rude and lazy, and smokes right in the path of the drive thru, or hiding behind her car, talking trash on her phone about the customers, loud enough for all to hear. She refused to give my active duty husband a discount because she didn't feel like it. Said it was policy that you had to notify her at the menu, instead of just showing her ID at the window. Several staff are kind and hardworking. If this place tanks, it's because of her leadership. Our family LOVES Zaxby's, but this location is lacking. read more

The food SUCKED! There's no other way to say it. I ordered the signature chicken sandwich and my son had the chicken sliders, both combo meals. The fries tasted old and stale. The chicken sandwiches were nothing to rave about and really, just plain. The honey mustard sauce in the sandwiches tasted like pure salt. Freaking Walmart makes a better chicken sandwich. What threw me off was that I had to wait about 5 minutes for my order and so I'm thinking "Yea it's going to be nice and hot". Nope! It was like a hour before closing. My guess is that no one in the kitchen felt like making a new batch of anything. The only thing notable was that the young man taking my order was courteous, but that's not enough to save that place. Never going back and definitely not recommending Zaxbys to anyone. read more

I was so excited to have Zaxby's again after I moved from FL. This chain was one of my favorite fast food chicken establishments there! Unfortunately this location does not capture the same taste as other locations down South. The chicken is somehow a lot more salty than what I remember. The portions are also smaller and for the price that you pay, not at all worth it. The best part of the meal was the Zax sauce which thankfully is packaged. The service was mediocre. Nothing really stood out to me as good or bad. My experience was entirely through drive thru so I can't speak to the inside of the restaurant. Zaxby's corporate needs to know how much worse their VA Beach location is since this is not a good impression of the chain for a new location. read more

First day - restaurant is packed. Chicken sandwich and fingers are awesome. They have more than enough choices for sauces. Table next to us had a platter of wings and they put them down in minutes. Great location - again the place has a line down the street for the drive through. read more

Ordered ahead on the App for a specific pickup time, 8pm. Walked in 5 minutes after 8. They were pretty busy. I ask the girl at the counter if my order was ready. She looks at the 5 or so orders in there shelves and tells me it will be a while. No worries, they're really busy. I plant myself out of the way and watch them work. Nearly 30 minutes goes by so I politely ask if I can get an estimate (since my family is waiting in the car). They ask my name, turn towards the shelf they originally look at (and I've been staring at for nearly a half hour) and hand me a bag with my name on it. The bag had not had a single thing added to it and was already tied shut. Just as it was when I arrived a half hour earlier. I asked to the cashier what could be done since my food was ice cold and I'd waited a half hour for no reason. She got the manager. He took a few notes and claimed he had my name and I could come in for a free meal any time. I spent 50$ to watch my food get ice cold for half an hour. Side note: we ordered to sandwich combos and a salad. Both combo sandwiches were wrong. But he "has my name" so I can drive all the way across town and hope for a free meal that may or may not be what I actually ordered. You make your own decision. read more

This was hands down the best Zaxby's we have ever been to. Sam went above and beyond for us. Her hospitality and customer service was out of this world!!! Zaxby's is blessed to have her!!!
