Loved our visit to Zed's! Great coffee drinks, friendly service. Terrific back courtyard away from Georgia Ave, sheltered from the noise. Fun, funky atmosphere. Easy on street parking around the corner.

I've walked by Zed's dozens of time but this morning a Yelp'd a breakfast spot and it came up so I tried it! It's such a cute homie spot. The customer service and food are awesome. Mickey recommended the southern omelet!! It was a great choice! Egg, cheese, spinach, tomato and bacon on a toasted croissant! it was delish!! Zed's is now officially a part of my neighborhood spots!!

If you're looking for a cozy, comfortable, and warm environment to have delicious coffee and filling food, look no further! Zed's Cafe is the only place I've found which perfectly blends a relaxing ambiance fueled by the soft jazz playing in the restaurant, excellent service, and affordable prices all in one. Not to mention that you will always be greeted with a smile by the owner. Absolutely visit if you find yourself near Georgia Ave!

Chill spot to work! I'm always on the lookout for a cozy coffee shop to work from home, write on my laptop or just to enjoy a nice latte. The environment feels like a mashup between cozy thrift store furniture finds and some DIY projects. I chose to sit at one of the stools at the rugged countertop made of a couple raw 2x4s. Stools were a bit too tall for the low countertop for long hours of laptop work (what I was trying to do that day) but there were plenty of other normal table/seat options which were already taken. I got a cappuccino with almond/oat milk. They have all the standard non-dairy options. Barista was kind enough to bring it to me. Although it did taste a bit different from other cappuccinos I've had. Could be the beans they used or the unusual milk combo. In any case, open to coming back and trying another drink. COVID content - Staff was masked. Most of the patrons were not wearing masks because they were eating/drinking but you choose where you sit. There is also a back door to an outside patio which is more COVID friendly. Definitely will be back. Perhaps with a friend next time to catch up over a coffee (or beer/wine!)

Zeds cafe is a hidden gem of silver spring - I almost don't want to leave this review bc I want to keep it a secret but it's gonna come out sooner or later! Please stop in and see for yourself why this place is worth your time and money! Ok Ok I'll give you just a bit: (PreCovid experience) The Breakfast Sandwich! Is a must! It was always served with a fresh side salad that was already lightly "dressed"! It was a tastebud tantalizer indeed! That is all***

The setting of this cafe is very cute, cozy, diverse in color & design. It feels like a second home, or a good study spot. I just ordered black coffee with a coffee muffin. (Coffee on top wit coffee! Gotta love the coffee!) Of course both were delicious. What caught my attention is that they serve fruits along with the muffin, which was really cute and nice! I thought this place has very good reasonable prices that I would come here often, but too bad I live a bit far away. But I highly recommend this place for my coffee lovers out there. Keep in mind there is parallel parking on the street. I parked in a hotel parking lot and it wasn't expensive!

    Charming side table :)

Just.What.I.Needed. Let's throw a few things out there, before you even start reading this review. I've been searching for a quiet, calm, and relaxing place to write. Every Starbucks I've ever been to is filled with hipsters galore. It bothers me...so very much. You can imagine my delight when I found this place. The coffee is fresh and delicious. The service is attentive and quick. Nobody bothers you. Wi-fi is automatically available, no need to enter a password. Couches are comfy. People keep to themselves. Music plays softly in the background. Everything is absolutely perfect. The omelets are deliciously fluffy and there's an array of sandwiches to choose from...or do what I do, and order another coffee :) Definitely worth checking out!!

Where do I begin, Zeds is amazing. Really one of my favorite places in the area. My go-to is the Caramel Macchiato either hot or cold, the pina colada smoothie & the breakfast dishes are great also. I'm confident it'll be easy to find something you'll enjoy on the menu. I've been going to this spot for quite a few years now & have had the pleasure of meeting Zed quite a few times; very personable guy who usually hires decent/friendly staff. The environment is extremely relaxing & the food/drinks are always consistent.

Zed's cafe is what a coffee shop should be: - Amazing coffee - Intimate & cozy - Great casual vibe - Great, homemade treats & light bites, prepared on the spot - Great service I tried their Macchiato which was amazing. They're in downtown Silver Spring, and there's ample off-street parking within a 2-3 block radius. It's not a huge place so I could see it getting crowded on weekends. Hence, that's why I came during the afternoon when they didn't have any events going on.

The inside set up with table seating was absolutely incredible. The sound of music and atmosphere gives high quality. The food and drinks were really good. We ordered and shared everything from lemon pepper wings, Bang Bang shrimp and Alfredo pasta with Salmon. I treated my mom to see one of her idols Regina Bell for her birthday. She absolutely loved everything about this mommy and daughter date night. We had so much fun. My only con was I had to flag down my waiter several times after our initial orders were placed which was a bit disappointing. The food and drinks are on the pricey side with tip and gratuity added on the bill. Other than that, we had a great experience and I will definitely love to return in the near future. 5 stars for the entertainment, service, and ambiance!…read more I mainly visit for the live music, and it never disappoints. I had a reservation and was seated at an excellent table on the first floor upon arrival. The location allowed us to fully enjoy both the view and sound of the musicians, which made for a great experience. The service was outstanding. My waiter was kind, respectful, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. As for the food, it was just okay. I started with the fried calamari, which was edible but not particularly memorable. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi. While it was decent, I probably wouldn't order it again. I prefer a richer butter-and-garlic flavor, but this version seemed to lean more heavily on a wine-based sauce. Overall, the live music, atmosphere, and excellent service keep me coming back. Even though the food isn't the highlight for me, I'll definitely return to enjoy the entertainment.

We nibbled on some fries since neither of us were too hungry, but patrons around us seemed to enjoy their food. Overall this was an interesting spot to pop into, will probably come back again with my friend to hear some music. It was great. Given that, my experience was closer than 4 than 3.
