Some restaurants offer glasses at this price lolol. The checkout process was really fast and easy, I opted for the email receipt option (better for the environment). I read it's his first expansion beyond his Berkeley HQ in 50 years, a milestone for a man who helped define Bay Area wine tastes. Since 1972, Lynch championed wines with authenticity, character, and a sense of place, focusing on smaller European growers. His shop in Berkeley, considered one of the best wine shops in the U.S., has a particular bent towards Burgundies, Rhone reds, Loire Valley wines, Provencal roses, and small Italian wines, and that seems to be true here as well. One thing worth mentioning, my service experience in the Berkeley location has been a more friendly one. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged during my Marin visit. My love of AppleTV's Drops of God (well, definitely Season 1) has only added to the mystique of a place like this for me. I grabbed their brochure and the reverence for the artistry, history, and human stories behind smaller production wines stands out. This new shop feels extra fancy, but that's probably part of the charm. Despite appearances (and yes, many bottles are expensive) we found a few bottles at a lower ($13-$25) price point that encourages dabbling with new styles, without that cavernous, "left to your own devices" atmosphere at many of those corporate big box wine shops. The people here are super knowledgeable! There was a tasting going on which actually helped eliminate potential purchases. I am actually looking forward to the next time I am looking for white wines. You'll pretty much find beer, spirits, candy, snacks, and some random canned food & cleaning products. It's not exactly what I think about when I hear the word "Paradise," but this place always has what you need when you're in a jam, so in a way, I could argue that's quite heavenly. Long review short, this is a solid liquor/convenient store option when you're in Marin. They have plenty of free parking in the front. And I gotta give them props for adhering to all the proper Covid-19 safety guidelines (masks, gloves, and a glass partition between the customer and cashier).

The other guy had a lot of hip pain. I did have a really nice visit on April 7Th. That server that day was really into the music. There was two Australian guys at the counter. We had a blast but lately the place is just a dump. The side room is just completely a mess. Needs to get blown out with a blower. Nobody's wiping the tables down the grouchy condescending server was a huge turn off. The dreamland spaceport 9% that I had was way better in April now it just tasted really subpar. Stale even. I just slammed it down and got another beer reverse funnel was way more crisp and delicious. Come to think of it the last couple visits I had at the palace or barrels in Petaluma wasn't that great either. The staff just doesn't really care. Griffo is fantastic with offering up both fabulous live music and DJ's. On nice days the warehouse door slides up offering more seating and quite often a tasty food truck. Additionally their spirits are offered to purchase there. I picked up a wonderful vodka, a gin as well as a delicious shrub syrup to add to cocktails. We visited the distillery next to Hotel Petaluma around 8 pm with a group of six (family, including my dad and uncle). Most of the patrons inside were white, and our waitress was an older white woman. From the moment we walked in, there was visible irritation about our party size. When my uncle picked up a chair so we could sit together, we were met with looks and attitude instead of any help. The overall vibe was cold and dismissive, and it made us feel unwelcome and judged. As a Mexican family in a room where nearly everyone else was white, the way we were treated felt targeted and uncomfortable. Whether intentional or not, the service came across as biased and unwelcoming. It's just really unfortunate, because this is a place we've supported for years. We left feeling embarrassed and upset, and that's not the experience you expect from a place in hospitality.
