Came in for happy hour and what a great deal. A 3 taco plate for a great price and the biggest surprise was that it was 3 massive tacos. Easily be able to split it with another person I was the only person in so I got a lot of attention, so can't complain about the service in anyway shape or form. She was fantastic, and made a great drink (cause as usual I sat at the bar) for me to try. I did end up ordering a Modelo because my love of Mexican lagers have no bounds. The aesthetics of the location is absolutely gorgeous. They didn't overdo it on the Mexican themes and kept everything very elegant. I really liked how they put it all together. Typically I don't go out of my way to try Mexican restaurants because I don't see them as much more than an overpriced Taco Bell, and looking at their regular prices I feel even more strongly so, but I would come back for their happy hour. read more

The food was outstanding. The service was terrible and there was no hustle to make things happen faster. We were told multiple times thank you for our patience and we were, but nothing changed throughout the entire evening and it wasn't overly crowded at all. Food delivered, but had to wait quite a while to ask for a plate, drinks took a long time so we never ordered more. read more

Went here for my dad's bday recently and wasn't horrible, with the exception of the service and some of the food. Sat right down, waiters brought the wrong whiskey (asked for Woodford and brought something definitely not that), ordered our food and way too much salsa on the band bad shrimp tacos, asked for some extra bang bang sauce, never got it. To cap things off we were charged 25% for a party of 5! On the menu it says parties of 6 or more (which is still insane to me), but we didn't catch it until it was too late. Definitely won't be going back and it wasn't anything special. Overpriced overall, bad service, and seating is too close to tables next to you. read more

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous; it's also a very big space so you shouldn't ever have to wait too long for a table. The dip trio is a great way to start especially if you've got a few people with you. The queso was my favorite part. I got the frozen mango margarita and it's pretty good. There didn't seem to be as much mango flavor as I was hoping for but it's good regardless. They definitely don't skimp on portions here! I went with the pork belly tacos. It had hot honey on it and it made the whole thing special. My only complaint was there's a little too much goat cheese on it and it's very overpowering. But it's honestly a very good taco. I hope this place is here to stay because it was a joy to dine here. read more

First time at Zef's last night and it was a very good experience! The staff was more than pleasant and accommodating, food was very good (and large size portions) and lastly drinks were very good. Had their Margarita and closed the night with an Old Fashion. I would definitely recommend a trip, well worth the time and experience. Thanks again to the wonderful staff! read more

Beautiful atmosphere! We sat at the bar and tried out a few different margaritas which were decent. I may try the margarita flight next time that has rotating flavors. The food was pretty good, I ordered the fajitas which were plentiful in portion size. read more

From the outside you couldn't tell, but the inside is pretty big and super cute! Service was good. Drinks were great, I recommend the raspberry mojito, so refreshing! Pitcher was smaller than we thought but we had at least 1 and a half/2 drinks split between 2 people, so it was worth it for the price. Food was eh okay. The best out of what we tried were the shrimp tacos. The rice and beans were bland. My friend who had the enchiladas said it was dry. Trio dip was plain. My friend and I popped into Don Christos for their Cinco De Mayo specials, and were pleasantly surprised. The location is quite large - a square shaped wrap around bar on one side with high tops, and open seating on the other. Great for a girls night out, or a family dinner - a side for each! We enjoyed their street tacos, asada being our favorite and the margaritas were good also. I do recommend more spicy margarita options on the menu. Pricing is fair, and there's plenty of parking. read more

We love Don Christos Cigar room so we were excited to hear they were opening a new restaurant in the area. The spot they took over used to be Shields and then Rocky's. It's been empty for quite some time. I wasn't thrilled to have another taco place in the area. We have quite a few. But we were very excited to see what they did with the space! It looks so different! And it looks gorgeous!! The bar area is huge! The decor is bright and airy. There are plants throughout the restaurant side and there is still a private back room for parties. Beautiful art adorns the walls. There's a patio area and they added roll up windows that will open to fresh air in the summer. I hate air conditioning so that makes me extremely happy! There were plenty of servers and they were definitely hustling. The restaurant is huge and it was packed. They were extremely friendly and attentive. Everyone was smiling and genuinely seemed happy! You would have never guessed that they just opened last week! I would have liked to see a much broader cocktail list and tequila flights, but hopefully this will come. They only had 4 custom cocktails. They also had three choices of frozen margaritas. Mango, strawberry, and lime. They also do not offer complimentary chips and salsa. That's an extra charge. The food was delicious. We chose the senora street tacos, and carne asada tacos. Absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back! read more

Haven't had a bad review in a loooonngg time but this place blew it out the water with how bad it was. The girl who took my carry out order over the phone didn't really seem to know what she was talking about and mentioned they were very short staffed. The things I asked she had no knowledge about and it showed once we got our food. She also packed our food so poorly, it spilled all over by the time got home. Not to mention we spent $135 for our food, and didn't like any of it. To begin all the tacos we got were mediocre at best, the shrimp tacos were overwhelmed by this overly "mayo'd" sauce if u will, the chicken tacos were so fills with stuff u couldn't even taste the chicken. The carne asada tacos were actually skirt steak, and everything was thrown into the carry out box and looked like a pile of mess. Tortillas on the side, but mine were soaked because she spilled all of our food in the bag. The side of gauc was sooo over salty, it wasn't enjoyable, and the salsa we bought look like tomato water..every single thing was so disappointing we don't even know what we paid for. I don't mind spending if it's worth but this place gets 3 big thumbs down, never again. Don't waste ur money folks. read more

The ambiance of the place is beautiful and relaxing! The service was good and our waitress was pretty nice and knowledgeable. The elotes were delicious and Flavorful! And my shrimp fajita was very good and very generous with shrimp! Also I liked the regular beans instead of the original refried beans. The drinks were ok though, very beautifully displayed and presentation is elegant but the mojito was too sweet and the frozen margarita has minimum amount of alcohol and that why I am giving it a 4! The newly opened Don Christo is bright and energetic. They have a wide selection of tequila and an imaginative menu. My wife and I can't on a busy Saturday and ate at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful and food service was prompt. We ordered the Chorizo Cornbread Bruchetta but devoured it before taking a picture. The combination of the sweet cornbread layered with the spicy polenta was excellent. I ordered the Michoacam Carnitas Tacos. The pickled onions added a nice zing and the pork was tender and tasty. My wife ordered Quesabirria Beef Tacos. They had so much flavor and the cilantro garnish is a fun idea. I sampled a Padre tequila. They offer a choice of neat, chilled, or on the rocks. If you have a desire to explore tequilas, you'd is the place. The selection of refined offerings is vast! I recommend adding Don Christos to you list of places to go! read more

It is new, somewhere between 2-3 weeks. Nice place. Good food, slower service-assume they are working out the links. Decent tap, no Stella glass but a tulip glass is a great substitute. Grandson had shrimp tacos that he said were great (And that's all I know about shrimp)I had the beef chili burrito. It was good, shredded beef, I prefer ground but that's on me. We went to Don Christos with friends on a busy Saturday evening. The inside is bright, modern and welcoming. The service was prompt and very good. Great drink menu and especially enjoyed the margaritas. The food was very fresh and generous portions. A little closer to authentic Mexican. Even noticed the manager walking around the dining room asking customers if everything was to their liking. You don't see that very often anymore. We will definitely be back. read more
