Great service; really feels like a neighborhood spot where the servers know everyone by order. HH is good and you have choice of all apps. The bartender shared his pizza with me because he insisted that I try some before I left; it was bomb. Sauce was perfect balance of sweet/savory, good crust, and I have no clue what kind of pizza it was lol, but the toppings were delish. I've since been back and tried more items on the menu and the chocolate cake

Stopped in this past Friday evening for a quick bite to eat and I'm glad we did. We kinda it there on the later end of the evening since the kitchen closes at 11pm. So we grabbed two 10 inch pizzas, the meat classic and the spinach and artichoke. Both pizzas were really delicious. Also the service was prompt and courteous. Definitely will be back. If you're in the Hollins Market section of town, make sure you stop in Zella's for pizza and other items. There sandwiches are good as well

Takeout Night Win! It was takeout night and my family was craving pizza but definitely not the commercial chains like Pizza Hut or Papa John's. We wanted something local and full of flavor, so we gave Zella's a try, and they did not disappoint! I ordered the 10" beef pepperoni pizza with a side Caesar salad, and everything was delicious. The pizza had a perfect crust crispy on the outside and soft in the middle with just the right amount of sauce and generous beef pepperoni. You can really taste the difference in quality and freshness. My husband and son went with the traditional pepperoni, and they both loved it. The cheese was perfectly melted, and the pepperoni had that just-right crisp on the edges. The Caesar salad was also a great complement fresh, crisp, and well-dressed without being soggy. Highly recommend Zella's if you're looking to upgrade pizza night with something local and full of flavor.

We tried this spot for delivery since we got a menu from them in our apartment complex. We ordered a pizza with mushroom and sausage and old bay wings. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. The wings were a good size and very tender, fall off the bone. Not super crispy, but that's to be expected for takeout. The pizza was also good. The crust was airy with a nice chew, cheese and sauce were tasty and toppings nicely distributed. Overall, this was a solid pizza spot and I'd order from here again.

Decent pizza spot with affordable prices. One time I ordered my pizza on the phone for take-out and when I came in to pick it up, I saw they had a carry-out special ($11 for a large 1-topping pizza). Would have been nice if they mentioned that over the phone. The next time I used their carry-out special offer and ordered sun-dried tomatoes on my pizza. Unfortunately, the sun-dried tomatoes were burnt.... I am willing to give them another chance due to their affordable prices. They have ample seating inside, including a bar area. There is limited street parking as well.

Such a nice gem in the HEART of Hollins area! With it being in such an art driven area , the interior is perfect laid out in an Art Gallery Pub style!! The menu covers a variety of beers, starters, meals, salads and pizza! We kept it light with a Caesar salad, fries and two beers! My wife and I stopped in during an impromptu Motor scooter ride through the city and the vibe was so chill and welcoming! All the staff were awesome and food was perfect! Visit for great city art views and cute quiet place to get a good bite to eat and cold brew probably made right here in Baltimore

Been trying to look for a pizza place around the area -- this is by far the BEST pizza I've ever had!!! Atmosphere, staff and service was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Pizza is QUALITY and definitely worth every penny. Was very satisfied when we received our pizza. Temperature was nice a hot and the cheese pull was incredible.

Definitely recommends ! First time here and I don t have not one bad thing to say . The location was great , parking wasn't has much of a hassle I thought it would be for street parking , the place was clean all around in the inside . Our bartender was great. He was nice , an attentive . The wait between or drinks and pizza was slim to none. The pizza was fresh hot and the honey old bay wings were everything!

Order from Zella's that was hand tossed crust with spicy red pepper sauce and ham, steak, jalapeños, and red onions as toppings!

The food here is chef's kiss. With Hollins Market closed, I wanted to try somewhere new and hopefully better. Eating from here at least 2-3 times a month has become a habit. The inside and outside of the restaurant are always clean. If there's not a game playing on the television then there's great music in the background. I will say that it tends to get crowded in the evening. The last time I was there picking up an order of 2 meatball sandwiches for almost an hour and I wasn't the only patron waiting to be served. If you can get in here before 5pm, do so. read more

Ok so yall know I LOVE this place right....lol Ordered small pepperoni and cheese for the little one,hummus and buffalo wings for myself and my bestfriend ordered a small pesto pizza with caramelized onions,roasted red peppers,roasted garlic and black olives. Everything in order was fine except for my friends pizza; it looked as if there was no sauce and after biting into it that was established. I called and they delivered a fresh pizza without any problems. Wonderful customer service every time!!! Holy moly..,Found this lil gem on recent trip to Baltimore. Hummus and pita, meatballs and Feta Spinach Triangles for starters...great start..larger pepperoni and the St. Magnus's Meat Classic Pizza. Phenomenal. Thin, crispy w nice crunch..perfect ratio of sauce to cheese...Has to be best pizza in Baltimore ...pretty sure this is where the locals eat. read more

I actually was there doing some work for them on one of their systems. So I was able to preview how the owners (Jeff & Julie) are with the employees and how the kitchen staff operates... absolutely fantastic people all around. The dining room is clean and well maintained, the staff is super friendly and the kitchen was clean with calm and talented people. This of course all adds up to fantastic pizza. I live in Reisterstown, but I will be bringing my family here to eat very soon and often. read more

New to the Hollins Market area and decided to try Zella's. I liked the pizza, great crust not oily good ratio of meat to cheese. Only disappointment was the mozzarella sticks. I expected them to be piping hot and goey and they were cold. As if they were pre made and stored in the refrigerator. To be fair we went right at the start of lunch noon on the dot and they looked like they were still prepping. Will definitely give them another try. read more

Zella's is truly a hidden Baltimore gem with some darn good pizza! They don't over complicate pizza. There's a simple but delicious sauce. The crust is a perfect balance of chewy and crunchy. The cheese seems freshly shredded versus the bagged cheese that most pizza places offer. We normally do pickup because Zella's has a great pickup special but they do offer indoor seating and a bar. The also have awesome sandwiches. Everything is made fresh to order. Price-to-portion ratio is perfect. Cheers to a great time! read more

The staff not following city indoor mask mandates makes me question their food safety practices as well. I went to pick up my food and the men working behind the bar were not wearing masks and were telling stories to the customers at the bar. I looked in the open kitchen and nobody working back there was wearing masks. Maybe the manger was out tonight or this place just doesn't care about following the Mayor's indoor mask mandate. I have gotten food here before and liked it, but there are other places that follow the health and safety guidelines in the city and I will go to before coming back here. read more

Always a favorite local pizza spot! Been here for the past 7 years and the quality of their pizza has never changed. It is always super flavorful with the perfect amount of toppings (thanks for never skimping out!) and the most delicious red sauce. I do agree though with some of the other reviewers... also find it odd that they do no wear masks indoors... but been ordering here for too long to question their food prep practices. I do always takeout though... have never dined in. read more

Tasted like one of the ingredients was rotten and gave me a stomach ache. Also arrived soggy. I can see how it could have been good but my experience really sucked. Had to throw out a whole pizza that was $30 w/ delivery fee and tip It's ended up with food poisoning symptoms all day the next day. I also cant find a way to complain through Yelp. Real irritating. read more

Fun, friendly place - the service here was incredibly pleasant, as Patrick exchanged Baltimore vs. New York stories with us. Great vibe - community bulletin board with local bands playing kind of place. They had a cool selection of craft beers and a full bar, and the prices seem quite reasonable. As you may see, I'm a native New Yorker, it would be redundant to say that I'm a pizza snob - it's hard to avoid when you live amidst the greatest pizza in the world. So I'm a hard marker. We got a plain cheese pie, and it was pretty solid. Sauce might have been a touch sweet, but I was happy with it. Probably a true 3.5 star experience, but I'll round up for the über-friendly service and cool vibe. read more

I am going to have to remember this pizzeria again! This place was great, they delivered to the Baltimore Convention Center, when I was there for a convention. Technically I was at the Hilton, so they delivered to the lobby. They arrived at a timely manner, pizza was pipping hot as a I chomp on it ravenously. My friend and I ordered two gourmet 10' pizzas, I ordered a Prosciutto was what I ordered, and it was good! It wasn't as oily and the cheese was nice. My friend had the portabella mushroom pizza, and that was good. It was a filling meal. My friend took the salad, that came with the delivery. read more

Great pizza and lots of toppings to choose from. My husband and I chose the pizza prosciutto and margarita. The crust to sauce to topping ratio was solid. The pizzas range from 12-14 dollars and go up with additional toppings. The pizza feels like it is made with though so it is worth it! They have a carry out special going on now too. I definitely want to try their spicy tomato dip next time. If you're in the mood for pizza, sandwiches, and/or other appetizer dip options, show this place some love! It's definitely worth it! read more

My favorite place to get pizza in Baltimore! One of my coworkers introduced me to Zella's and I haven't gotten pizza anywhere else since. When we do lunch at the office, we always order Zella's if we want pizza. Their pricing is a great deal and their pizza's are delicious. I love their Margarita pizza the most. They are very generous with their toppings and it's a great deal for what you get. Chain restaurants can't compare! read more

So this place is a random pizza shop on a semi quiet block in the middle of the hood. When you go in it's quiet romantic and kind of shabby. The bar was very very limited it's not kid friendly the food was really good but cold so I could only imagine how good it would be hot and we were literally the only ones there read more

Zella's Pizzeria is an old community staple in Baltimore. We originally opened up in 2007, but the restaurant was sold in 2010. The current owners took over again recently and are proud to bring back the original Zella's to Charm City! Our atmosphere offers a unique sense of community, and Zella's is a place where people come not just to eat, but to congregate and see each other. From carry out to dine-in, our food is always consistently good. We're a friendly neighborhood spot with great pizza, and we treat our customers well. We're always going to stick to the principles of serving good food, providing great service, and offering a friendly atmosphere for diners. We can't wait to see you back at Zella's!

The current Zella's owners took over ownership of the joint not too long ago. The original Zella's was struggling a bit, and the new owners identified an opportunity to restore a favorite local establishment to its original great standards. From the ownership through the staff, everybody at Zella's is committed to giving our diners an awesome meal and a satisfying experience. We provide a comfortable space for you to eat, but if you're just taking something to go we will make sure that pizza you open in the comfort of your home is just as fresh and delicious as it would be in our restaurant. Urgent Complaint Regarding Disrespectful Treatment at Zeller's Pizza Dear Zeller's Pizza Management, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the level of disrespect I encountered at your establishment this evening. What should have been a simple order pickup turned into an unnecessarily unpleasant experience due to a misunderstanding on your end. I placed my order through the Toast website, as I normally do, using my saved payment information. However, for some reason, the system processed the order as "pay in store" instead of charging my credit card. Upon arriving at the store, I showed the manager my order confirmation and inquired about available desserts. At no point was I given a bill or asked to pay before the manager retrieved my pizzas. Instead, after handing me my order, he walked away to assist what seemed to be his "preferred customers," leaving me without any indication that payment was still required. As I was driving home--30 minutes away--I received several calls from an unknown number. Upon returning the call, I was met with extreme rudeness and disrespect. Even after I explained the situation, the person on the line was condescending and dismissive. To make matters worse, the employee who originally served me then called back and proceeded to insult me, using derogatory language--including calling me "retarded"--and even had the audacity to threaten to call the police. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. I did nothing wrong, yet I was treated with hostility simply because your staff mishandled the transaction. As a paying customer, I deserved the same level of respect and attention as anyone else in your establishment. I expect a formal apology for this mistreatment and an explanation of what steps will be taken to ensure no other customer experiences such blatant disrespect in the future. If this is the standard of service at Zeller's Pizza, I will have no choice but to take my business elsewhere and share my experience accordingly. I look forward to your prompt response. read more

Wow............what a find! One of the best wood burning stove pizzas ever, great sandwiches and crescent shaped calzones big enough to fit an 11 inch dinner plate. My fave was the Spinach and artichoke calzone. And the Portobello mushroom pizza was amazing! Really nice couple own the place. Everything is made from scratch so be prepared to wait..........calzones take about 45 minutes. Here is the only downside, and I mean this in the kindest of ways.....the neighborhood is in big time transition, and even the owners admit that they do a lot of carry out. So check out the menu on the website, call your order in and park at Hollins Market (you will be asked by one of the neighborhood people if you want your car watched, and you might want to say yes). Pizza was delicious. And I grade pretty harsh on pizza because not everyone puts enough cheese. But this was perfect. Sorry I didn't take a picture. I was starving! Nothing better than having a taste for something & then get exactly what you hoped for! read more

Awesome place. Great food and great service, plus they have some pretty good beers. Glad it's back to its original form. Some of the best pizza in Baltimore and the sandwiches are always delicious and very filling. read more
