I have never ever had an experience with any repair company like Zen Appliance. The tech was very polite however the company lags in communication and in being efficient in ordering parts and in scheduling appointments. Less than 24 hour's notice for appointment arrival and that is extremely difficult to plan accordingly for people who work. I had to reschedule my appointment, and I am still waiting after 2 weeks for a rescheduled appointment. My claim has-been open since April. Still not fixed. Initial diagnosis was done via Zoom. Just trusted from my (AHS) insurance agent that this Zen Co is 5 Star. NOPE! Thats my opinion & others on YELP! These happened to us. It has been since December 2025 when I made my request for service. For Refrigerator/freezer and stove top/oven appliance. Our Insurance Agent gave us Zen Appliance Co phone number to contact for sooner appointment since the Holidays was getting close. Tried calling Zen Appliances can't be reach , just recording and text. And when they finally did made appointment via text. Made after the Holidays on Jan 2026. And they just text you day before they arrived. You have to make sure that day is clear. Four hour time frame. We made sure someone was home to wait for Zen Tech since waited for these LONG for an appointment. When Tech Aiden arrived only thing came out of his mouth was, BRAG about himself saying his the BEST Technician. All talked & No ACTION! He Open door refrigerator/freezer. Said Everything GOOD! And went open door oven look inside then close. Then he started pressing all the digital component on top of stove. Gotten worst when he was constantly pressing all the digital components, started buzzing sound and clock was working before,not anymore. He told us since after pressing the digital components and gotten WORSTS! Then he informed us he THINKS is Digital problem will order PARTS! Then he turn on oven told my husband to keep on for 30 minutes. House started smelling gas. What's wrong with this situation he left. He NEVER check the back of both LG Stove/Oven & Kitchen Aid Refrigerator/Freezer Appliances to see what was causing the problem. Since smell of gas around house my husband turn off oven for our safety. We open all the windows & doors to clear the gas smell. Aiden was so full of himself, always on his cell phone talking about another consumers appliance problem while here. Not even dealing with our appliances. He just constantly told us I will order parts. No Work Order Invoice given only his word. When delivered will let you know then left. So UNPROFESSIONAL Rude & worst he Lies . Then I found out after a couple weeks later end up being denied cause he reported was different from what he informed us & was supported by his Business Manager Laura who called our insurance gave EXCUSE "Rodents infestation", was a BIG Lie. Cause if that was true the Refrigerator/ freezer would be totally broken. But Aiden said it was GOOD! And our LG Stove/ Oven our problem was we used flicker to light Stove burner & oven was not staying hot enough to bake anything. But our digital components on top of stove was working find till he constantly kept on pressing till broke. But Zen EXCUSE to (AHS) was a lie to make sure we we're denied. If you EVER get these Zen Appliances make sure you used your cell phone video & record there action especially your conversation with there Tech. But if they do the RIGHT thing fix your Appliances then you can just delete afterwards. You won't have to deal with what happened to us over 5 months of dispute though our (AHS). Again if your under insurance coverage for your Appliances. You're insurance will believed the Company that they Referred you to, then you. Unless you dispute. You will END dealing with there Escalation Dept another name for (Supervisor or Higher). I end up getting George that sounded like AI Robot. No Compassion or patience to listen to my concern. He was just reading what Zen Co reported. And ignoring me. EPIC Fail for WORST Customer Service! I was so 'UPSET ", with AHS Escalation Dept. Till my husband encouraged me to call again.So I did on a different day & time was able to get someone who CARE enough to listen to my situations, who I felt understand what we were going though with Zen Appliance Co. This Escalation Supervisor just informed me before I can request a 2 nd opinion need to deal when Zen Co meaning Aiden Tech have to come back. Since she listen to my concern I respected this AHS Sup Agent. But I did informed her might get retaliated by Zen Co. Surely was Retaliated by Aiden & Laura. Finally gotten 2nd Opinion Appliances Co. This Techician from another company did more work to both LG & Kitchen Aid Appliances then Zen Co. They even gave us an Work Order Invoice for our LG & Kitchen Aid what parts will be ordered. I still did take video & photo like I suggested just incase. Just BEWARE Consumers for your protection video or tape conversation. So you have proof to home appliances insurance co. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I was assigned this company through my home warranty, and my experience was nothing but frustrating. From the start, they gave me an appointment with a TBD time, making it difficult to plan. When I called to get a more specific time, they said they'd notify me closer to the date. I didn't receive a confirmed time until the day before, which was between 2-6 PM--a wide window that gave me no time to adjust my work schedule or childcare arrangements. For context, I am active duty military, a single father, and I work night shifts in the ER at Camp Pendleton. The appointment fell on a Friday, when my child gets out of school early, making it even harder to coordinate. Despite expecting at least a courtesy call when they were on their way, they only gave me a 5-10 minute notice. Unfortunately, I was 17 minutes away picking up my daughter at the time, but instead of showing any understanding, they refused to wait. When I tried to reschedule, they insisted on charging my home warranty another deductible, claiming it was my fault for not being home. They failed to acknowledge that they gave me less than 24 hours' notice of the appointment time and showed zero flexibility in working with my situation. If you need a company that values customer service, communication, and basic professionalism, DO NOT use this one. At first, we were automatically assigned another vocal company, but, after I checked their Yelp reviews, I canceled the service. So, I reached back out to AHS to request Zen appliance due to their reviews, Between both visits with techs Arturo and Aidan, everything was excellent. Arturo came out initially to assess the issue with our refrigerator's ice maker. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. Then, once the parts were delivered to Zen, Aidan was the one to conduct the repair. He was very thorough with his explanations and service and he has an incredibly friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, ZEN Appliance sent out a representative who seemed to have MINIMAL knowledge of my Electric Oven. Was unable to replicate the Failure, Tripping the CB in the electrical panel. I had thought that the Oven would have "Built-in" safety features so the outside CB would be the LAST to trip. My oven is nearly 20 years old, and I just wanted to have that issue addressed before it would cause a fire inside the "Built-in" Oven. SOMETHING inside the Oven is causing that CB to trip outside. Since this problem COULD NOT BE replicated these people at ZEN decided I MUST be Lying and maybe want SOMETHING for nothing, (Far as I'm concerned, ZEN considered me a liar and a cheat) and CLEARED the service call without even verifying if OP Panel on oven MIGHT just have a short or something that would bypass any safety shut down within the oven. To TOP it all, they DID NOT have the decency to let me know the service was cancelled due to the PROBLEM WASN'T Replicated so I must have made all that up. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The Technician spent 5 minutes checking the washer and insisted I overloaded it and washed dogs beds (because there was some dog's hairs on the machine -from my son's clothing-) which I explained I did not do. Then he didn't recommend a repair as it would cost +-$500 but not because it couldn't be repaired. I said that's why we have the insurance. But then He was more interested on convincing me about how the insurance wouldn't pay enough and so for ... Well, he reported that I overloaded the machine and washed dog's bed so the insurance denied my claim. I called the company to complain and was told that they indicated that 90% of this type of damaged is caused by overloading the machine ... sorry I am on the 10% then ... but also the tech said there was corrosion on the machine when he never opened it ??? ... again they said the manual indicates that as possible cause ... BUT how they presented a report based on probabilities instead of the facts .... The attitude of the technician was not nice at all to make things worse. He made up his mind about my case without listening and made $110 for 5 mins or work .... Very unprofessional company. The last person who came in to replace the motor of the dishwasher left the house without connecting the dishwasher back to the water hose, and to the expelled hose. Yelled at me, and he was very violent. He made me nervous, I was home alone with my two kids. Very, very unprofessional and violent. I wished, I could report him to the police. We have AHS and were assigned another substandard appliance company. It took me a week to get an appointment and it was only because i drove to their office. They spent less than 5 minutes took pictures and reported that we abused our dishwasher. I probably had less than 2 minutes of conversation with him. He stated my issue was a common problem don't know if we'll repair or replace it. I asked for a second opinion and got Zen Appliance. I got a call and an appointment the same day. They are extremely knowledgeable and their customer service was spot on. AHS is going to repair my dishwasher because of their extensive reporting. I had found zen appliance on yelp, yes I yelp literally everything! I have used them a couple times already and both times they were awesome! My parents fridge had messed up not once but twice! I had purchased it from sears for them and it was horrible!! They explained what was wrong with my fridge and were very quick with installing new parts that were needed. Horrible company!!! I went thru AHS for a repair on my microwave and refrigerator. Zen sent a tech and they came to fix my microwave and ordered parts for my fridge. When they replaced the fuse the microwave turned back on. My husband asked him to test it to ensure it works before they leave. The tech turned it on and it caught on fire within seconds. The company then lied forged my husbands signature on the invoice saying it was repaired and no damage was done to the unit. To top it off they told AHS that the unit is too old to be repaired. Needless to say I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and after that Zen called AHS to drop me as a customer so my fridge never got fixed. Do not use them. This company's customer service is beyond poor. I had to wait 2 weeks through AHS for someone to show up to fix my oven. The guy who showed up was rude and unprofessional. Zen was called out to check our fridge because the freezer side wasn't working so their tech said he could fix it. Instead of fixing it he made it worse, freezer now has become an oven and cooked everything we had in t! Old republic and our selves have tried to get them out to resolve the issue but they have ignored all calls and emails in regards to the issue! I would rate with zero stars if possible. This company is horrible. They do not answer the phone or return calls. I had a microwave go out over 7 weeks ago. I took two weeks for them to show up for the initial appointment. They took over two weeks to obtain authorization from my home warranty company - how authorized immediately - to obtain the part. Home warranty called me back immediately to let me know they had authorized. It is now going on three weeks and no call back, contact or anything from Zen Appliance.
