I have went to this place multiple times and I have tried to like the work they do, but I am never satisfied with it. I asked for cat eye nail polish this time I went, but they were trying to charge me 20 extra dollars for it. I asked for stiletto and they couldn't file the stiletto straight so they all are curved at a weird angle. I already came in with semi long nails and they said they charged me for the length??? That makes no sense so I was already at $65 just for a fill in. I ended up going with a milky white color that is gel and from where he didn't clean the clear coat off good enough, you can see specs of dust underneath the color on all nails. All these are easy fixes, but they get aggravated whenever you ask them to fix it and it just looks worse. When I tell them that I didn't want the cat eye polish, the girl got aggravated and turned around and said something to the man in a different language and I could tell that it was hateful by the manner in which she said it. please don't come here if you don't want to be charged an arm and a leg for nails that are half a$$ done. read more

I scheduled an appointment as I wanted to have my nails done for a work event. Booking through their website was easy enough and previous reviews made it seem like a great place but the actual experience was incredibly lacking. The nail tech I had seemed very uninterested in having to do my nails in the first place. All I wanted was almond shaped, acrylic nails with just ONE color, and when I asked if they had examples of a simple design for one nail on each hand, he said they don't have anything like that...oook. Yes I could have looked on Pinterest or something but with his vibe already being as it was, I felt rushed, so I just said ok never mind it's fine. Really the only positive I can offer this review is that he was quick. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Now, I may not get my nails done a lot, but I KNOW the process. If anyone can tell me why I would wash my hands AFTER the color and top coat, please enlighten me! He didn't even clean off my hands or nails after filing down and shaping the acrylics, so there was all the debris and tiny filings all over my fingers and then he paints over all of that on my nails. Really?? Even when he started and put the tips on my nails, I could tell that there was not enough of the adhesive on some of them, which was not a good start. He also clipped one of my thumb nails as I guess it was too long, but didn't do that to any of the other nails...seemed odd. Like I said, really the only good thing about this experience was that he was quick but when I really looked at my nails afterwards, the only way I could describe them is as if someone melted pink jelly beans and stuck them to my fingers. The shape is so sloppy, I have had almond shaped nails several times before and this was NOT it. There's no way this was worth $70 including tip, which I was reluctant to give anyway. I'm adding pictures here so y'all can see. This was my first and last time going to this nail salon. There's no way anyone can convince me to come back and spend my hard earned money for such a low, poor experience when it seems like this place boasts their extravagant services and knowledgeable techs. Only because I can't give 0 stars. Pedicure and manicure were rushed. Nails were not cleaned up properly (cuticles not done properly) cut the skin on my big toe. Less than 24hrs later my gel manicure is pealing up, polish is messy (hands and feet) bare spaces left on my fingernails. My technician was very rude with me. Won't be going back.... Ever. Update (22hrs later): We were contacted by the Zen Nail Spa and offered an apology for my experience. They also offered a full refund for the manicure and a partial refund for the pedicure. This was my second time visiting Zen Nail Spa. It was a great experience from start to finish. I was greeted when I walked in and was instructed to pick out my colors from a large selection. Then I was called back when my station was set up. I was offered a complimentary beverage which ranged from water to lemon drops. I had a lemon drop and it was delicious. My nail tech was Crystal was she super nice and sweet checking to make sure I was good throughout the service. The only thing I could say was that I wished my foot massage had a little more pressure but that's all. I will definitely be back again read more

This place has so many good reviews maybe we just had an off experience. We went on a Monday night so it wasn't as crazy busy as it was the first time we were here on a Friday. $35 + tip for classic pedicure which is their basic pedicure service. They try numerous times to upsell you - to the point that it's awkward. I didn't notice til after we left that they didn't remove the clear polish I had on from my last pedicure. Now I'm super glad I didn't get my toes painted. They would have looked like trash. Overall very rushed and no attention to detail. Disappointing because the building is nice, and clean and you can book online which is such a huge plus. Our appointments were only 15-20 minutes so you feel herded around and out. By far the best nail spa I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot! It's the best gel manicure I've ever received, and I just did a polish change on my feet but they look amazing and they took their time! Great, reasonable pricing. $12 for my polish change on my feet (this doesn't include a pedicure, it's only a polish change!), and $38 for my gel manicure. Also they had a full bar! I enjoyed a hot green tea, others were enjoying things like champagne and a margarita! The atmosphere was also great. Relaxing, comfortable, and clean. Usually I have a good experience at this location. Today, sadly it was not so. I got the signature pedicure and while the hot stone and massage was amazing--my feet lacked in basic care. There was still some dirt left under my toenails, and many of the nails had an uneven edge to them. For my manicure, I was excited to try the cat eye nail polish. I asked the tech how it would be done but there must have been a disconnect in communication, since he ended up giving me the cat eye polish color but not the finish. When I realized this, I clarified this with them and asked if I could get the finish but he said it was "too late" since he already put lotion and oil on my hands. It was my first time even getting the cat eye and I had no idea it would require the magnet. I did ask for that service though and was disappointed I was not explained to/or it fixed when I clarified at the end. read more

TL;DR; paid $90 +tip for a full set without a "manicure" (the massage you get at every other nail salon) because the salon doesn't have a "button" for it and doesn't know how to communicate to new customers. Tech (Alex) was friendly and nice, he was double booked at the end of my appointment so he rushed off. A nail broke 3 days after. Go if you want to spend a lot of money, get a complimentary alcoholic drink and receive subpar service from the front desk. After an exhausting couple of weeks I decided to treat myself to a rare manicure. Looking forward to getting a massage and some Halloween inspired nails I couldn't wait to enjoy some relaxation. When I called to make my appointment I told the front desk staff I wanted a full acrylic set manicure, twice - (this is an important part of the story). When I arrived at my appointed time, I repeated myself that I was there for a full set manicure and it was my first time in. They printed off a receipt of my service and about ten minutes after my appointment time, I was seated. After a few minutes a tech came and got me and moved me across the store to a different seat, asked me to verify my services, which I repeated, and we began. They offer complimentary alcoholic drinks, the store is huge, seems fairly clean. Lots of color selection, lots of employees. Near the completion of my set, Alex says I'm done and confused I ask him about the massage portion of the manicure. He tells me that it doesn't come with my $90 full set!! At this point he already has another appointment waiting that he has gone back and forth with while still completing my set. I commend Alex on being kind and throwing some lotion on my hands for about 30 seconds. I go up to pay with the guy at the front desk and I'm honest with him about my experience. I'm disappointed because I came here, paying an exorbitant amount of money and didn't get the relaxing portion of my manicure that I was looking forward to. He tells me that the "manicure" does not come with nail services, I have to ask specifically for them (who does this?!) - I tell him I did request it, multiple times, he tells me I have to tell the tech directly because they don't have a button on the service sheet for "manicure" (how do you not have that option being a nail salon?!). I tell him I have told everyone I've interacted with I wanted a manicure and surprised, he apologizes, and says he will make a note so their team can improve. That's it. I was offered nothing else. For what seems like such a nice salon they seem disorganized and indifferent towards clients. I don't treat myself to an expensive set of nails often and I was quite excited to do this for myself. I have no intention of returning. One of my nails broke after 3 days. Knowing I was a first time customer I'm very disappointed on how the front desk handled the situation - I'm also still getting over how a full set doesn't come with a "manicure" - seems standard to me. read more

I found myself in Chattanooga for work with a few extra hours to kill on a Sunday afternoon and in desperate need of a pedicure. A quick yelp search lead me to Zen Nail Spa as one of the few places in the area open on Sunday. I called and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon and was excited to check out this beautiful nail salon! The parking lot was packed and I was lucky to snag the last spot but I can see how that would be an issue for some! My appointment was at 3:30 and I showed up around 3:20 to check in and wait for my tech. This place was BIG and POPPIN - dozens of people getting their nails done - bright and clean, I was looking forward to my pedicure! After waiting for about 15 min, someone came to take me back to the pedicure area where I proceeded to wait with my feet in the water for another 20 min before my tech came to start the pedicure itself. The chairs aren't traditional pedicure chairs, but rather a bench with pillows and individual bowls that you put your feet in. The bench wasn't super comfortable and I wasn't able to adjust it to better suit my leg length like I normally would in an electronic pedicure chair. I don't live in Chattanooga, so I probably won't need to get my nails done in the area again, but I'm not sure I would go back I'd given the chance. read more
