I never heard of Idyllwild before and I feel so blessed to have found it. During my time here, I walked everywhere and loved being able to stay out of my car. It feels so peaceful here yet coffee, food, art, music, handmade pottery, soundbaths, yoga, meditations, support groups, bookstores and a beautiful community filled with friendly people are all steps away. The starters were delicious, our server Olivia was a kick and so attentive even though the place was crowded and she had a few stations to attend to. We did get around to the deserts which included a couple of Sticky Toffee Pudding and the piece de resistance, Butterscotch Pot De Creme. The background music and crowd noise was not overbearing so we could have a conversation across the table without having to raise our voices. The restrooms were clean and the dining room was warm and inviting. Was tough to leave but there were more patrons to seat as we left.

Max, Kate and Madison are welcoming and warm from the moment you enter the property, and that warmth continues throughout your stay. Rachel's yoga sessions were a wonderful way to start the morning and to rejuvenate after a beautiful hike overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The meals are delicious, nutritious, and beautiful. The rooms are cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The Banya is delightful and invigorating. Followed by a cool outdoor shower, a dip in the warm jetted pool, a sit in the sauna, and a cold plunge. The whole vibe is just lovely. Nice conversations around the fire with some tea after dinner leaves you feeling relaxed and ready to grab a book from their selection, take it to your room and read yourself to sleep after a full day. Your stay can be physically challenging if that is what you want, or it can be a pampering spa retreat without the exertion. The massages are indulgent and dreamy. The term "reset" is accurate when describing your stay. You must try the roller massage machine too! You will love it. I have social anxiety which can make new things uncomfortable for me but I was so at ease here. It all just flowed. A truly exceptional experience. I plan to make this an annual thing and will probably stay longer in the future. Give yourself this gift. Bring a loved one to share the experience. I promise you will be glad you did. My back feels noticeably lighter and more relaxed, and my skin looks and feels vibrant and healthy. I've had lymphatic drainage treatments with other professionals before, and I can truly say that I had never experienced a proper Gua Sha treatment until my session with Dara. The difference was noticeable. Dara is also very knowledgeable and took the time to explain how the body processes the fluid shift after treatment, which I really appreciated. This entity, who is so cowardly to not even use her/his complete real name, described many things s/he personally liked about the Vida Cleanse retreat. S/he pointed out that Yesenia was NOT the person who led this particular retreat. Then, s/he complained about a broadcast e-mail from Yesenia offering a discount for positive Yelp reviews just as she became the new owner. It is completely normal and common when a business changes hands and/or is "Under New Management" that they have a "Grand Re-opening" and offer incentives such as a "Sale" or new-customer discounts. For that one e-mail "K S." felt was SPAM, s/he decided not to give 4, or 3, or 2 stars, s/he went all the way down to the lowest possible 1 star! This cruel person wanted to harm Yesenia's small business just as she was starting out and hurt someone's livelihood because of a single insignificant promotional e-mail. This idiot could care less how this could hurt Yesenia and the tears this may have caused. Whenever I see mean and intentionally harmful individuals like this on Yelp and other social media platforms, I cringe and pray for a world without petty, foolish, jerks in it. Mr./Ms. K S. -- Vida Cleanse by Yesenia offers fasting retreats at least once per month, sometimes several a month---they are almost always sold out. Yesenia's retreats are far more successful than the previous owner ever was. The 5-day cleansing retreat held at The Spring Resort & Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California, was a truly healing, relaxing, and memorable vacation for me. Yesenia sent pre-fast instructions, itinerary of activities, and a fasting schedule to me in advance. When I arrived, she handed out a prepared booklet of more detailed instructions, checklists, and information on the specific benefits and details of our particular fast. The Spring Resort staff were so nice and very considerate to me. I felt taken care of right away and throughout my entire stay in my comfortable deluxe courtyard suite with private soaking tub. All of us participants blended well together, about twenty one in all. There were activities to indulge in each and every day, from yoga, early morning hikes in gorgeous natural locations, energy medicine sessions, guided meditations, wellness talks, and a sound bath. My favorites were fully utilizing the spa for massages, Dead Sea Salt scrubs, Mudd wraps, facials, and last but not least, daily colonics which are crucial for an effective detox fast.
