Way over priced for what you get. Ordered 2 pieces of the super toro for $17, and it was literally just the regular ahi cut a tiny bit bigger. The rest of the meal wasn't terrible food, but not worth what they charged. Ordered take out said it would take 30 minutes. When I arrived, it took them another 30 minutes to make my lunch for 1 person. And no it wasn't because they were busy, there was one person in the restaurant when I arrived. Ok well tonight could have been pretty crappy because Uber eats picked up the wrong order. I decided to just call in and place another order at Zen and deal with Uber eats later. Well when I told them my story and the owners literally remade the missing parts from my original order. I just re ordered a partial amount of the missing food. They remade all my food and charged me for the sodas I bought! First of all that type of customer service is so rare these days, especially with the lockdown. My food was unbelievably amazing! This was our first experience eating at Zen Sushi and let me just say it was absolutely delicious. The fried rice was thee best and I love my fried rice, the flavor was dead on and the shrimp portion was generous. The food portions were generous for the price and the serve amazing. Very much felt at home as everyone was attentive from the minute we walked in. It's a family owned business and you can tell they take pride in offering great food and great service. I love how you can order sushi from the bar, Chinese food and even offers some Thai favorites. We are definitely coming back with more family so we can try more dishes. Zen has been my family's go-to restaurant when we're craving great Chinese food. I've been coming here for years and have been a huge fan of their kitchen. I LOVE their hot and sour soup. It's delicious and rich in favor. It isn't watered down like other locations. Their orange chicken is mouthwatering and my absolute favorite option. They also serve sushi. They have custom flavors and I've enjoyed most of their rolls. My favorite is still Philadelphia roll. I enjoy all my sushi rolls and sashimi with eel sauce. Make sure to check in for free egg rolls! They have lunch and dinner sizes. Also, they have lunch options. Although I'm not crazy about it, they have quick and affordable choices for a quick lunch. I've never had a bad experience with service here. They've always been helpful and accomadating. I really enjoy being here with my family and enjoy their Chinese cuisine and sushi bar. Except for those 2 employees who were making fun of the other customer who works at Ralphs (which is across from Zen.) Last time here, the chef recommended the baby yellowtail. Amazing. He came by to double check that we liked it, but I think he already knew whet our answer would be. Sushi is good. They always have rotating specials. We try a new roll when they pop up in the list. Another amazing thing about this place, Sapporo on draft. That beer tastes amazing with the sushi. Mr. Sapporo was onto something. Buy it bottled, or in cans at the store, not so much. But at Zen's, it's magical out of the tap. There are plenty of sushi joints on foothill and in Montrose.
