There isn't much more to say then "Completely Fantastic!" My partner and I have visited Maui twice in the past 6 months and both times we made two (not just one) appointments at Zensations Spa. The spa itself is clean, well staffed, and very calming. Upon arrival their host(ess) greats you with positive energy and offers water and bathroom use. They have various calming products for sale in the lobby area. Meanwhile, a water feature begins to soothe you with a relaxing trickle of sound. The couples massage room is well ventilated, clean and extremely relaxing. The two adjustable massage tables are comfortable and are draped with freshly smelling sheets. The soothing sounds of whales, nature and acoustic music relax you even before the therapists arrive. We like the Lomi Lomi massage for 90 minutes and have had Kelly T., Mia, Amy, Kari and Kawika as therapists. All of the them are extremely professional and great with their hands, arms and elbows. Do yourself a favor and skip the resort/hotel spas and enjoy Zensations Spa instead! read more

My husband and I came here for a couples massage on our babymoon. I've had a few prenatal massages before (am currently 29 weeks pregnant) and this was by far the best prenatal massage (and overall great massage). Kelly and Tomika (sorry if I'm spelling your name wrong) were amazing! Most prenatal massages are more like someone gently rubbing lotion on your back (and I'm more of a deep tissue gal) but Kelly really got to all my areas of concern and it was definitely therapeutic. While visiting on our honeymoon last week, my husband and I were hoping to finish out our trip with a great spa experience! I didn't want to spend a ton of money at the Westin, so I found Zensations Spa on Yelp! The reviews all shared how great this place is, and I wholeheartedly agree! My husband and I got a couples deep tissue massage and it was relaxing, they applied wonderful pressure, and we loved it! The spa is clean and looks great. Also, my husband shared with his masseuse that he was having a lot of pain in a particular area around his shoulder/chest. The masseuse totally took that feedback to heart, and helped alleviate my husband's pain! In fact, he's still talking about how great that massage was (even though we're back home!). Definitely book your spa experience here! It's a fraction of the cost of one of the resorts while still providing fabulous service! read more

I would like to comment on the services here but I'll never get the chance to for the following reason.. We drove an hour to get here from Kihei and waited around for about 10 minutes passed our appointment time until finally we were notified that one of our therapists didn't show to work and they weren't able to find or call anyone else. We were offered an appointment the next day and when asked if there was anything that could be done for our inconvenience we were told they "weren't sure the boss would allow for that". I don't always want concessions for inconvenience but I also don't really want to push everything else on my vacation a day forward just to accommodate for poor management. So we found our favorite therapist on the island and she was able to take us immediately. The reviews for this place seem good otherwise but be aware the office appears disorganized and the employees don't seem to want to be here. read more

My husband and I got massages here twice in May. The first time both women were pretty good. Both times we paid for the lomi lomi special. The second time neither of us got lomi lomi even though that is what we paid for. Also, It happened to be my birthday and the girl I got was rolling her eyes as we walked in the door. Then she proceeded to provide a very bad massage and had an attitude the entire time. I started to get a bit anxious during the massage from all the bad energy and that has NEVER ever happened to me before. We got the ultra Lux Spa the best 110 minutes and money we have ever spent. Kawika and Renee were AMAZING!! It starts with a body scrub and then this sensational coconut moisturiser followed by a cocooning of a heated blanket. I felt like a baby in a womb!! Then comes the scalp massage with a face massage. A 15 minute chair massage for $15?! Yes you read this right people. While in Lahaina for a mini-vaca with our friends Russ & Kar (aka Russkar) we decided to treat ourselves to mini-massages. Russ had found Zensations Spa on Yelp and raved about how much he loved it. Fifteen bucks? I think I could take the risk. I expected Zensations to be a hole because its located in a strip mall, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually a beautiful and tranquil retreat. There was a gentle water fountain in the waiting room that was decorated with balinese style furniture. The woman who worked the front desk was very pleasant and professional. The upright massage chair was set-up in the waiting area and one by one we got our 15 minute massages. I really enjoyed my little massage and it was a great start to my morning. Our friends Russ and Kar had previously gotten full body massages but said that they actually enjoyed the 15 minute massage more because it was just enough to loosen up all that built up lactic acid in their shoulders and necks. A word to the wise, if you don't get massages frequently you may feel a little sick after your massage. I think our massage therapist loosened up some toxins in my shoulders but didn't have the adequate amount of time to really get rid of it so it was sitting in my neck when I got home. My BF massaged it out of my neck and I was as good as new! Boy I wish I could get another 15 minute massage right now! read more

Yelp's description for what a 2 star rating is exactly what I experienced here. I've had better. MUCH better. My girlfriend and I got the 90 minute Maui Zen Package and what we received was a very small portion of what was described. I felt like there was no variety in their massaging technique. To rub our necks and backs, they used the same 3 motions over and over again. The "foot reflexology" was just them doing small squeezes to the toes and the bottom of our foot that lasted a whole...... maybe 5 minutes? They spent almost no time massaging our faces. It was really just them applying moisturizer. What was also annoying was how many times they rubbed oil all over our hair. After every massage motion around the neck, they would run their fingers through our hair and scratch our scalps and repeat. By the end of our massage, our hair was so greasy it looked like we had just gotten out of the shower and it never dried. If you go, make sure that you have no plans afterwards because you would not look presentable in any way shape or form. This was a nice establishment with very friendly staff, however, their massages really fell short for the hefty price we paid. I would not go again or recommend. read more

I found Zensations when I was searching for a place to get a massage outside of the big hotels in the area. After reading the great reviews here on yelp- I booked a couples massage for my and my husband. They had pretty good availability for next days during the week for appointments, so I booked one in the early afternoon on the next day. The spa is quite peaceful and easy to find- a few minutes north of Lahaina. Two massage beds were prepared for us in a large but cozy spa room which had a cool water fixture and beautiful zen paintings on the walls. The room was dim, music super relaxing and the aroma therapy was kickin'. Everything was very zenned out. Our massage was about an hour long. The therapists were fantastic! We both had a really nice experience here. Great price too- $187 for both of us. I would like to return for another massage and maybe a facial too next time! Mahalo! xo read more

I enjoy being pampered and have been to plenty of spas in Napa and the SF Bay Area. My husband knows that and so for my birthday he booked me a spa package here that included a scrub and a massage. It was one of the best spa treatments I have recieved in a long time. My skin was so smooth and glowing from the scrub. My tired body was rejuvinated! Even without the fancy amenities that I am used to having, like the steam room, showers, hot tubs, lockers, plush robes, fruit platters, spa water and flavored teas this place gets 5 stars on their excellent service and treatments. My partner and I booked a 60-minute Double Bliss Maui Zen Package for Two, based solely on the great reviews we found online, plus the fact that it was across the street from the condo we were able to find for our somewhat last-minute trip to Maui. We thought the price was incredibly reasonable so there was not much to lose. When we arrived at our condo we were somewhat worried about the look of Zensations across the street - it's just in a random strip center. Looked clean but not anything spectacular or noteworthy. Appearances can be deceiving, though, as we had a great experience. Worry not, this place is legitimate and clean! Upon entering the facility, there is an instant sensation of peacefulness and calm. There's a great aroma immediately inside the doors. When we arrived, we were instantly greeted at the front desk; they already knew who we were and confirmed our appointment/services. We were asked to sit and wait in the lobby, but within two or three minutes we were then greeted by our massagists (is that what I should call them?) and taken to a double room. Not going to go into great detail, just going to say this: We both agreed that we experienced the best massages we've ever had, and we've tried different spas on Hawaiian vacations and various places back home in Northern California, paying significantly more than we did at Zensations. The two women who worked with us were appropriately zen-cheerful, quickly and succinctly surveyed our conditions, and went straight to work in the utmost professional manner. We loved that we went straight in, got an incredible massage, and got out. The Double Bliss Maui Zen package is a great session; incredibly relaxing massage that was almost chiropractic in nature, plus focus on hands, feet and face via massage. We both left feeling completely readjusted, and while a bit sore this morning, it's a good, right-kind-of sore. I'd call this a no-frills place, but that doesn't do Zensations justice. If you're into fussiness, yes, head to the Ritz, but if you're wanting to maximize your island vacation time, go to Zensations, get completely worked over, find an hour of true zen, and get back to your vacation. Zensations Spa in Lahaina is conveniently located 3 miles from the townhouse in Napili. I called Friday morning to see if we could get in since my shoulder area was bothering me after snorkeling. They could not accommodate us that day, which is understandable for 90 minutes. However, they offered an appointment that fit our schedule for Saturday afternoon. My husband & I booked a 90 minute couples massage ($250) with Jessica & Rachel. It is located in a all strip mall. The store front doesn't look like much, but as soon as you walk through the door it feels welcoming. There was a couple at the front desk as we walked in. The receptionist quickly greeted us with a friendly smile & by our first names. She asked us to make ourselves comfortable. We sat for only a minute and the ladies were ready for us. They led us to the couples room & it had a very relaxed atmosphere. These two women are awesome! Jessica gave me a deep tissue (extra $20) & worked out 90% of my deep knots from my trapezoid just under the shoulder blade. The remaining 10% was very knotted and deep which will take another session to completely work out. Rachel listened to my husband's concerns & took the time to find what bothered him & gently worked it out that left him feeling amazing without feeling "roughed up". While I'm not a complete regular to getting massages, I've had quite a few. There is a person at home that I love. Second to her was the massage at Zensations. Great pressure, truly relieving and relaxing all over and worked a kink out that was incurred well after I ever scheduled. This visit went from simply being a nice enjoyable morning on our 10 year anniversary trip to being a needed trip. Save your money from a beachside massage, and save even more money from a massage at a resort. Give them you money for a nice room and some food and drinks.
