I've been a few times and the last time was a miss... It took the waiter sooo long to acknowledge us and our food took about 40 minutes to come out only for it not to be brought out all together. They brought out one bowl of ramen first only for it to be lukewarm. It took them a while to bring out the other two bowls. they also didn't bring us our drink. The menu really needs to be re worked. It was very hard to pick and there weren't photos to help you decide. We got pork buns, we only ate one. We also order spring rolls, they were pretty decent. Please beware - the green curry was EXTRA SALTY. It was in fact so salty that it was not just unpleasant to eat, it was really BAD. I was offered more hot water. I should've asked for something else, but I was hungry so I tried to eat the eggplants. Now I feel sick. I had such a bad experience with the curry that I put a $20 on the table and walked out. Do you know the server chased me out the restaurant asking if I could pay? Are you serious right now? I shouldn't have paid you for anything. You should've offered me a free meal. This place serves Japanese and Thai food. My work place is very close from them so we order here a lot, maybe 3x a month. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because the Japanese food I don't really care for but the Thai food is the bomb. Personally their Japanese soup base for their ramens are too salty and it just ruins the whole dish because it's inedible and they're not cheap. Their Pad Kee Mao however is the bomb. I tried it in chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp. They're all good but my favorite is shrimp. I wish they can do combination proteins like other Thai restaurants but they don't. Ambiance looks like a den if you know what I mean, so probably suited for dinner or nighttime visit. We always go at lunch from work and it looks kinda depressing, maybe more lights to brighten it up in the day? The staff are very patient, we had a delay one time with the gift card not being activated but they kept trying to help us without showing any frustration or like trying to hurry us up. To start, this is our second visit. We tried this restaurant when it first opened and we were left disappointed and never went back. We decided to give them another chance because our son requested Ramen for this birthday lunch. We ordered Takoyaki appetizer which came out late and after the rest of our food. The batter was raw inside and soupy, the octopus tasted old and freezer burned. We tried 3 different Ramen dishes and each had major faults. The pork belly was under, the broth almost inedible due to aggressive use of soy sauce. Our son ordered Tori Shoyu which should have been a nice chicken broth but was dark brown and tasted like teriyaki. The chicken in his Ramen was completely inedible (he said it reminded him of corn beef). To continue, we also got a Tonkatsu Curry plate. I say "curry" lightly. It was the consistency of soy sauce and had the flavor of just that to match. Overall, our food felt like it was abandoned leftovers, haphazardly reheated, and combined to look like new dishes. To top it all off, the service was lacking. We had to get up and find the server twice. I asked for an additional plate and was brought a tiny bowl. We asked for 2 spoons and were brought a bowl and a spoon. It felt apparent that a lack of attention to detail, be it the food or the service - was the theme. The broth was a little bit on the salty side, but overall had very good flavor. I also got the garlic edamame, which was delicious and had fresh garlic. I really didn't know much about this place. We were just a couple of miles away and needed some udon/ramen. Turned out it's a fusion restaurant that mixes various ethnic flavors with ramen. It's a casual spot. The staff are pretty nice and attentive. And our orders came out at a decent speed, all at the same time. Besides tonkotsu or spicy miso, other items have funny names, like Anonymous or Drunken. I had the Drunken. It's ramen with chashu, soft boiled eggs with bean sprouts and basil leaves, which really didn't work well in a ramen broth. The texture of the noodles were a bit hard and lacked chewiness like how ramen should be. It resembled noodles that were taken out of the freezer. The Tonkotsu ramen's flavor was flat. The broth was weak and had no depth or richness of a real bone broth. For us, when we see the word ramen, we expected it to be actually ramen. The Mrs. ordered this one. I had quite a few tastes, and truly enjoyed it. Drunken Ramen: Spicy, sweet, and aromatic. I could really taste the basil in this one. Like its name, the dish really does taste like "drunken noodles," or "pad kee mao," which is one of my favorite Thai dishes. This ramen truly fuses that unique Thai flavor with delicious Japanese Ramen. Both dishes mentioned above had thin Ramen noodles. I can't remember which region of Japan that originated from. My main criticism was that the cha shiu in the ramens were a bit tough. I'm not sure if this is due to using too lean of a meat, or a different cooking style. However, I would say I prefer the more traditional tender pork slices, which are more similar to the Ramen shops I've eaten at in Japan, or more locally, the Bay Area in Norcal. Had dinner with my husband for date night. We have been wanting to try Zen Street for awhile now and I'm glad we did! The food was amazing! I don't usually like "Asian fusion" places however this hit the spot because I was so indecisive that night. I ordered the "Falling with chili oil" and my husband ordered the Kuro. My noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor was incredible! We also got bao buns, egg rolls and Mao Mao for the table. Like I said, super indecisive so I loved that they had plenty of food options. My server was absolutely incredible, she was attentive and polite. She also made us feel really welcomed when we came In and made great suggestions. I did notice another larger table being difficult/RUDE and I amend her for handling the situation so professionally. I heard the table laughing and questioning her sexual orientation. The server was clearly overwhelmed with other tables and told everyone to flag her down if they were ready to order. We got there were seated waited awhile for the waitress ok no big deal seemed short staffed. Then we get water... the water tasted like it was from the sink it didn't seem safe to drink. Ok moved on we ordered out food we waited a good while and the first dish came out not too bad it was ok then the pad Thai came. The smell was horrific so strong and it was hard to be ever be near. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been here, the pork belly has been extremely tough/overcooked. Most recent visit there was a hard piece of the ramen that was not cooked properly. It was the part where the noodles are bundled together, which is usually cut off prior to serving. The flavors are still good, but the textures are off.
