After seeing thousands of reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I visited on a Saturday in the late afternoon, and surprisingly, there was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived. There was only one staff member present, and unfortunately, the experience did not start with a warm welcome. She simply handed the menu to me and told me to sit wherever I wanted, rather than greeting us properly and showing us to a table or placing the menu on the table. While this may seem like a small detail, first impressions matter and unfortunately, this initial interaction set the tone for the rest of the experience. We chose 'Build your own Ramen' where every item is itemized and priced. I had the Tonkotsu broth with Pork Chashu which - 4/10; some part of noodles still clumpy, broth is decent and not that great, chashu piece is the only good thing, comes in thick chunky cut. While my husband got Kazi which is the dry noodles - 5/10, taste is quite garlicky however it's quite spicy for 'just right' spicy level. One thing I noticed during my visit was that the waitress appeared somewhat disengaged from her work. She had a TV show playing nearby and seemed to spend a noticeable amount of time watching it rather than attending to customers. Unfortunately, the overall level of attentiveness and hospitality did not meet my expectations. Really disappointing experience. When I walked in, I was told to sit down and that someone would come take my order, but they completely forgot about me. I ended up sitting there waiting with no service or acknowledgment. The ramen itself didn't make up for it either. Everything is "build your own," which I normally wouldn't mind, but the quality just wasn't there. I've been coming here on and off for years. It used to be a place where you'd order at the counter, grab your own drinks, and pick up your to-go items. Now they have table service, which is a nice change in theory, but unfortunately the service we received tonight was really disappointing. After a 9-hour shift serving tables myself, all I wanted was a good bowl of ramen. My girlfriend and I ordered two miso ramens, an order of veggie gyoza, and a Coke. My Coke never came, and throughout our entire meal not a single server checked on us. We even noticed one server standing with her back turned to the dining room on her phone while wearing gloves...YUCK!!Early in the meal we realized we had been served the wrong gyoza, they had meat instead of the veggie gyoza we ordered. We kept waiting for someone to stop by so we could mention both the missing drink and the incorrect appetizer, but no one ever did. Since I hadn't eaten all day and was starving, we ended up eating the dumplings. When we were finishing up, I asked the server if they had meat in them, she confirmed they did. I explained that we had ordered the veggie gyoza, and her response was, "Well, you should've let me know earlier." I would have if anyone had checked on our table even once during the meal!!! The most disappointing part is that the food itself was great. The ramen was exactly what I was craving. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We also overheard the table next to us complaining that the service was really bad, no one came to take their order and their drinks were forgotten too. This ramen spot is located in the same complex as a grocery store, so there's amble parking. It was pretty poppin for a Friday night, which is understandable considering temperatures are dropping. First thing to note here is that seeing is first come first serve. Meaning, you can order, but finding a table is basically on you and your party. My bf and I ate in the car for the first five minutes (lol) until one of the servers waved us down to let us know the bar had seats available. The ramen is really good and flavorful. The spicy level really is "just right". The edamame was way too salty. I had to dip it in my broth to take some of the salt off. Overall, a decent ramen place. But I personally wouldn't want to come when it's busy and hold my bowl of ramen waiting for a table to clear. read more

Know your Math I think anyone ordering here needs to pay attention to the math because the pricing makes absolutely no sense. It's honestly funny how the "build your own combo ramen" lets you choose the exact same soup base, meat, noodles, and toppings for cheaper, while the pre-named ramen with literally the same ingredients costs way more. Same bowl, same toppings, same flavor -- just a different name and higher price tag. Maybe after this gets pointed out they'll fix it, or maybe not, but people should definitely watch what they're ordering. As for the ramen itself, it was just very average. The broth looked creamy, but the flavor was pretty flat and lacked depth. It tasted more salty than rich, and didn't have that slow-cooked tonkotsu flavor you expect from a good ramen spot. The chashu pork was decent visually but tasted dry around the edges and not very flavorful. Even the noodles and toppings felt basic and forgettable. The whole bowl looked better than it actually tasted. What confuses me the most is how insanely high the reviews are. I like kaz because it's open pretty late but nowadays it's comparable to that one spot by mission inn. Nothing special and tastes like any other average ramen joint. Service was great and food was amazing. My wife and I got the tonkatsu base with yellow models, pork chashu (I wanted the ox tail but it was sold out) with wood ear mushroom and just right spice. The broth was flavorful without any oil or greasiness to it. Temperature was perfect for slurping. Noodles were cooked perfectly with just a slight chew to them. Chashu was the real star for me. I ordered delivery and I was very disappointed after ordering from this place many times...they used to give soup on a clear container and they would give a generous amount , what I got this time is a joke looks like they only threw one scoop on soup in the bowl, is not even half full...there was more noodles than anything else and the chicken it's been raw and tasteless most times I've ordered...they've changed their quality and it's sad cause this was my go to with ramen. You order first then find a seat. If it is busy you may have trouble finding somewhere to sit but they also have a couple of seating spots outside. The staff was friendly and they are quick with cleaning up after someone leaves. The ramen I liked the flavor for the Tonkatsu and the "just right" spice lever really is perfect not too bad but the perfect kick. Only downside was that the ramen was kind of undercooked it was like stick all stuck together which threw us off and we kind of just had to wiggle it and wait for it to finish cooking. Not really the most ideal thing ,you kind of want your food ready but it wasn't the worst thing that could happen. Overall the experience was good besides the ramen being stuck together. We visited this place last night and ordered the premium pork ramen. Unfortunately, shortly after eating, both of us became sick. I personally had abdominal pain and diarrhea, but my girlfriend had a much more severe reaction with intense stomach pain that led us to go to the emergency room. She is currently undergoing tests, which has been very stressful. the timing and symptoms are very concerning, especially since we both ate the same pork dish and became sick within hours. At the very least, I strongly recommend the restaurant review their food handling, storage, and cooking practices -- especially for pork -- because this kind of situation is serious. Sign says they close at 4:00 a.m. I arrive at 12:30 and all the chairs outside are already taken and you cannot sit outside then I go inside assuming that you can sit in there every single table has the chairs on top of the tables except for one the one right by the front door that can seat two people so if you want to eat you have to sit in the front like some kind of a specimen the staff are giving me dirty looks because I'm definitely bothering them when I asked him if they're closing early they say yes they're closing early if I want they suppose they could get me something to eat before they close but I might not want to stay since they're closing early I remark that it's still three and a half hours before closing time and they tell me yeah. The owner of this place should really clean house inside of these kids you're paying them to sit there and eat your food and not even serve customers while I was there I saw other customers pull up and drive away because the unwelcome state from the outside you look closed when you're supposed to be open why are you paying rent on a place why are you paying utilities and why are you paying three staff members to sit there and turn customers away and eat your food for free read more

Found this hole in the wall little gem while we were killing time waiting for an appointment. I'm so glad we did, it did not disappoint. From the outside it doesn't look that impressive but the inside is such a vibe. The murals are a wonderful addition that create an authentic fun ambiance. Me and my fiance came here for lunch during a gloomy day and it hit the Spot! Delicious and flavorful broth! Service was quick, you pay at the cashier once you're ready and choose your seat. Inside is a bit dark, but cool to see the art on the walls. We ordered gyoza, first batch was a bit more crispy that normal, they asked us if we wanted it still, we said yes and they gave us a fresh batch. This place is a staple for good ramen in the IE. It's a very easy concept--order and pay first, then find your own seat. It's a great casual space and it's conveniently 24 hours, which is crazy! I was genuinely surprised at how good and flavorful the broth is. My absolute fav is the Niku and I love that you can customize it however much you want. The broth is a bit sweet with lots of umami. i am really annoyed and i am never coming to this place again. the atmosphere was ehh it was ok but nothing too special, and the price was a bit on the higher end for ramen imo (the pre-selected ramens were like $25ish a piece). i normally never review places, but i am so annoyed im making this my first review. this is where i am mainly annoyed: both my boyfriend and i ordered straight off their pre-selected menu (no changes). he got the porky, which had pork chashu, but when we got our food, it had both the chashu and double chicken when we did not in fact order it. we figured it was a mistake on their end, but when we went to pay, they said we ordered it and were forced to pay it (trust me we tried saying we didnt even order it, they just didnt listen and wouldnt change anything). the double chicken is like $7-8 and they would not comp the mistake they made on their end. in retrospect, i should have gone full karen mode because that is just insane. just a tip for anyone who is planning on going: if they give you something you did not order, try to tell them immediately or something so you dont get roped into paying extra for something you didnt even want. read more
