I've been here twice during the pandemic for take out. They have a number of signs reminding you to wear a mask. I'm addicted to the honey bbq popcorn chicken. It has just the right amount of spice, with tender chicken pieces served in a convenient carry out container. The teas here always taste fresh, with fresh fruit pieces. Take away is prompt. I only wish that during this pandemic time they would wipe down high touch surfaces like the door handle, the area where people sit and wait for take away, and the touchpad where you pay by credit card. Yes I was crazy enough to stand in line for only about 25-30 minutes to check out this place!! I believe it will not always be this crazy, but with this weekend being their grand opening, I suspect that it will be busy like this for the next week or two. Despite the disrespectful Texas heat, staff was very accommodating for those waiting in line. They set up fans and offered water frequently. Once inside, the place had character. Tables and chairs for your to sit and eat, drink and enjoy a good book or perhaps company of friends. Staff attempted to remain calm and collected. Their professionalism was on point even with people being rude and definitely not understanding. As the customer, I appreciated the amount of baristas there were in order to accommodate guests faster. Today, the wife and I tried the Cookie Monster and Coffee Horchata! Both were amazing!! I guess it's tough to give an accurate rating on this but I'm not going back. My experience was at around 730pm on a Wednesday. I was flying solo that night, after a particularly challenging day. The waiter came up and asked how many. I said one, I had planned to sit at the bar or get the food to go. She said "one? no, one?" and then ran off. I waited a minute at the door, and then left. They were busy and potentially understaffed. But simply because of the waiter's vibes, it seemed as if they didn't like me. Not simply because of my personality but instead because of my skin. Unlike the hype, I don't think Zero Degrees is perfect nor is the best in DFW. Yes, its very good but if anything, its presentation and variety is what hypes it so much. Who knows, maybe I go to too much boba places that I'm very picky when it comes to teas/ milk teas. I find that majority of their drinks are overly sweet. I've been to the Plano location prior to this one and I must admit this location is slightly roomier than the other location. Although this place is still quite cramped. Woohoo- a Zero Degrees in Arlington! First tried this place when I was visiting Houston and man are they always packed during evenings and weekends. I came in during their soft opening. The first time I came (evening on a Tuesday) it was jam-packed and the line was out the door. I decided to come back the next day for lunch. Much better. Service is still a work in progress because a lot of the workers seem young and a little hesitant or confused, but my Ube Milkshake that I love so much was still great. I love that this location is a 7 minute drive away from my workplace. I visited this ZD maybe twice before the pandemic and loved it. It's convenient for a quick lunch before getting back to work. ZD food and drinks are excellent and consistently good. During the pandemic, I've used this location frequently because they offer curbside. Getting boba and a meal is a quick in and out process and contactless. Everyone has masks and wears them properly (they even have signs drawn on the door informing patrons how to wear one correctly before entering). Overhyped. We went during opening weekendwhich wasn't surprising for us to wait 2+ hours. I order the mangonada,strawberry horchata and the strawberry bliss with boba. THEY RAN OUT OF THE TAMERIND STICK for the magonada WHICH WAS UPSETTING. they got our orders wrong that we ended up getting strawberry milk instead of the horchata. I don't understand the hype about this place. We got really excited and waited in line for 15 mins just to reach the counter. Then we waited another 25 mins for our food and drinks. We ordered mangonada, some watermelon slushie, a split cup of matcha and milktea and the cheetos elotes. Their drinks looked very pretty but they all tasted very syrupy. Milktea was pre-made in a jar as I saw them take it out of the fridge and poor it into the cup. Mangonada tasted like it was straight mango syrup slushie with a giant mango on top (which BTW is extra charge). The elotes, aside from the special cheetos powder they put on top, tasted far inferior than what you can get from a stand in front of any Mexican supermarket or inside a gas station (and I assume if you eat it with a bag of hot cheetos, there wouldn't be that much of a difference). We tried their classic elotes with the hot Cheetos and cheese fries, Cookie Monster milkshake, Ube milkshake, Thai milk tea, Coffee horchata, strawberry horchata & last but not least the mangonada. All were delicious. We did the split and it gave us an opportunity to taste the flavors we wanted to determine our next pick next time. Strawberry horchata was not something to die for, I would opt to stick to the original flavor. Elotes was fresh and tasty, just enough. I used to like this place. Went today and it smelled like a freshly cleaned restroom, but with used dirty bucket water from the day before. The wife was disgusted and wanted to leave. The customer service was pretty bad, I tipped on my card and the cashier didn't even say thank you. I was tempted to ask for my tip back. I'm not here just handing out tips for kindness, I ain't Biden. All the workers were wearing Sunday cloths, looked like they all just roll out of bed and came to work wearing what ever they had on. My drink was half blended, so lots of ice chunks in the mangonada, asada fries took forever and was pretty awful and very little asada steak if any. The service is okay, It would help if they didn't randomly make the drinks or handed the food/drink at the time they're made so they get to us fresh. The drinks are mediocre, maybe just as good as a Starbucks, which isn't bad, but with all the hype surrounding this place, I expected something better. On a good note, this place has creativity with it's items. Also, the prices are reasonable and are on par with Starbucks. I have been wanting to try this place out for the longest so when I heard this location was opening, I was excited to come and try it out on opening day. The menu is very short but has many options for each person's like. I tried the half cup with peach blossom and another one(can't remember the name). I loved the peach blossom so much I took one home. The cashier was on point with her suggestions as I was overwhelmed with names I've never heard. My sister and I went on the Grand Opening day (which honestly was kind of the worst day to go bc long lines and chaotic atmosphere) The drinks were pretty good, there was a BOGO promotion going on so, we both got four drinks to test it out (two drinks each; 16 oz/small) I ordered the Peach Blossom and Strawberry Mojito and my sister got the Strawberry Bliss and Lychee Crush. The fries are also great with some different flavor options, we've gotten the Cajun and the butter/salt and loved them both. Also tried the lemon pepper wings which had good flavor. We got the split cup for about $6 each with matcha milk tea, lychee crush, cucumber mint, and coffee horchata. Updating my review from 3 stars to 1 after visiting again. - waited over 30 minutes for macaroni and 15 minutes on 2 drinks, no one thought to even tell us it would take that long. Yet again the woman (different to last time) taking orders was rude and unorganized, there were staff stood doing nothing even though the place was busy. Major lack of seating available too. With the food/drinks all coming out at separate times it ends up being soggy and cold or nasty by the time you actually get to eat. First visit- While the food looks impressive the service is messy. The music was so loud I couldn't hear the girl attempting to take our order. Then when our buzzer finally went off for our food, only our drinks were done. There were at least 6 members of staff for the food prep area and 4 were stood around talking and doing nothing. We got the chicken wing combo meal with Cajun fries and it was great, that being said, there was no option to upgrade to the Cheeto cheese fries even though the combo listed as a 'choice of fries'. The mangonada was gross, but maybe that's just me. We enjoyed the cookies and cream shake but it could have been thicker. read more

The mangonada is alright. The mango used wasn't that really ripe and I felt it didn't have enough chamoy and tajin. I paid $1.00 extra to add additional mango on the top. I suppose that this is a good option since nothing else with legit mangonadas is closer. read more

I got the Tigers milk, it's under the coffee and tea section. I thought that means it has tea or coffee in it, am I right? Anyway, I guess there isn't tea in it, she said it's just sugar milk, uhhhhh I don't want to drink Sugar Milk, I need caffeine! So the girl was really nice about it when I told her I needed some tea in it, and she did. I have to say the boba isn't very good in my opinion, it's small and hard. I like the larger boba that soft. This place is highly overrated. Chicken popcorn is not good. Chick-fil-a will satisfy you more for the price. Fries with flaming Cheetos is meh, regular fries is meh. Wings, meh. Lychee juice drink had too much fake flavoring taste to it. The only good thing was the Ube milkshake. However, I'm Filipino and it for sure did not taste like real ube. It tasted like the powdered taro that's used in bubble tea places. Overall, 2 stars, not going back to zero degrees. read more
