    Cookie Butter Milkshake

Attending a conference or recovering from a job interview in downtown Dallas? I know what you need. Thank me later. Drop in on Zero Gradi. I know. Deciphering the name kind of eludes me too, but this little spot gets top grades from me. The service is phenomenal. I was enthusiastically welcomed and duly indoctrinated in minutes. It was a tough choice, but my eyes landed on the Cookie Butter Milkshake in the menu and my tastebuds immediately reached for the golden button. It was presented to me soon after and fantastic from start to finish. There is coffee and a display case full of bakery goods. It feels like it's right in the center of the arts district so it's right around the corner from almost everything important. Pop in!

Zero Gradi is known for their viral twist off croissants and i knew I had to check them out when I visit Dallas. We got the raspberry and pistachio flavor and the biscotti flavor. We also got the ferrero rocher flavor. The girl helping us was so friendly and nice. Also the place was so chic and modern. Saw a few people there with their laptops working. All the flavors were amazing. The raspberry and pistachio was definitely my favorite. Highly recommend

Stopped by on the way to the Perot museum for some coffee and treats. It's a cute, airy shop with coffee beverages, pastries, and gelato. I was the only one there the day before Christmas Eve so service was quick. I got a cafe latte, a pistachio and raspberry croissant cube, a ferrero rocher croissant roulette, and a cannoli. The raspberry, pistachio croissant was more of a pistachio butter which was unexpected but surprisingly really good. The ferrero rocher was rich with a hazelnut flavor and crunch and topped with a ferrero rocher chocolate. Both were delicious and unique in their own way. They didn't have too many options but what I tried was solid. Definitely worth a stop to satisfy your sweet tooth.

It's a cute little gelato and desert shop that is OK. The gelato flavors are quite simple. The vanilla bean tasted really delicious! I tasted a few others, including pistachio, which is typically my favorite. I wasn't a fan of their take on pistachio. It is a lot more nutty, definitely an acquired taste. I prefer pistachio to be a little bit creamier with a soft essence of the pistachio nut itself. However the employee was so lovely! We also tried a little sweet potato pastry with marshmallows on top. It was OK. I think I just really wanted this chain to be overall is better and exciting.

Zero gradi is so good! I hope they open on Saturday's since I work during the week and it's hard to visit. The croissants are must haves. They have a pistachio cream filled croissant and it's heavenly! It's very walkable to Klyde warren and the DMA and a quick walk from a trolley stop. Definitely worth a visit

a cute small gelato shop downtown. Not too many flavors, about 6 or 7 with 3 additional sorbet flavors. I got the cherry cheesecake and coffee which were both really good. My boy got chocolate and cookies and cream. A small comes with 2 scoops which is just enough. They also have coffee which I'll try next time.

Was on a gelato hunt after trying it in Europe and this place meets all the flavors which are rich, nutty and good textures. This place is on par with flavors and taste as botolino's. Has multiple locations and must try if you are in the area.

Gave 400 Gradi a less than flattering review but man, Zero Gradi is a real winner! Excellent, excellent pastries, delicious savory Danishes, tasty Gelato. Overall, a really great addition to the Downtown/Uptown area. So good that I'm even going to give 400 Gradi another chance. For now, head to Zero Gradi if you're a little bored of Bisous Bisous, and are craving some quality baked goods.

Cute sleek pristine dessert bar next to Mendocino farms! Come for the gelato- nice creamy Italian flavors and they can line your cone with chocolate- amazing. The big brioche bun - this one is a commitment to eat, lemon cream pie croissant - unique and really tangy, nutella sugar bun- pretty dense, and origin tart- has a layer of chocolate mousse and some faint notes of coffee, very decadent. Come through- lots of cute desserts.

We love it because it's so small, quaint, and packed the day of- it's just cozy. Of course it is downtown so be careful, there was a man harassing me and even followed me and my mom into the restaurant, but once we were in he left. There aren't many vegan items so I got the potatoes and dirty chai, which was perfect for me. Don't forget parking, you do have to pay for parking in downtown, so just keep that in mind. We will keep our tradition next year and the year after. Just stay safe when walking around downtown. Mine was an isolated event, but also happens a lot so just be aware of your surroundings.

They asked us if we were eating in and we said yes. However, when the food was ready, it was served in takeout boxes and included plastic utensils. I was expecting it to be on paper plates, since we were eating in. The food was good. Not what I was expecting but it was decent. The Benedict was good but the sauce was abit bland. The madame Croque was good but the egg was a little over cooked and my fork snapped whilst eating it from the box. I like that each table seemed to have sockets to recharge your tech, so that was a plus. They close early, around 4pm. Overall, a decent place, convenient and close to our hotel.

It had a nice, warm, and welcoming feel, which made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quick treat. The staff was attentive and took my order pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My Americano came out hot and had a really good bold flavor. I love adding cream to my coffee, and once I did, it balanced out that strong kick perfectly. The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation.

No need, but do know this: What's da Scoop? serves up better ice cream than... Blue Bell. I know I know, it's blasphemous, and my punishment should be nothing short of burning at the stake for such a claim. Curious as to why? Read on! Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? First and foremost, let's line up the competition shall we? Yes, Blue Bell is the king of kings when it comes to the Texas ice cream scene, and you can buy it literally everywhere from 7-Eleven to Whole Foods. Additionally, there are some local joints that dish up both Blue Bell and their own treats as well, so let's take a look at who they are: Coolhaus (2 Stars): http://www.yelp.com/biz/coolhaus-dallas#query:Cool%20Haus Tiff's Treats (4 Stars): http://www.yelp.com/biz/tiffs-treats-dallas Pokey-O's (3 Stars): http://www.yelp.com/biz/pokey-os-cookies-and-ice-cream-dallas Obviously, the closest comparison here is Coolhaus in that it's another food truck, but even so, WdS takes the cake when it comes to service. Friendly faces, abundant samples, and quick service. What more could you ask for? Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? So today at Klyde Warren Park was what I commonly refer to as a "spontaneous cheat day" no? I think you get the idea. I classify the day as such because I opted for not one or two, but THREE scoops of ice cream. I simply couldn't make up my mind, and for good reason. What an amazing menu. Yes, Blue Bell can get exotic, but these were unbelievable. Let's hear some of them, with my three selections up top: Haley's Comet: Vanilla + Chocolate Ice Cream with caramel and chocolate covered caramel cups Yippee Skippee: Peanut Butter Ice Cream with chocolate covered pretzels Ultimate Oreo: Vanilla + Oreo Crumb Ice Cream with Oreos Kitty Kitty Bang Bang: Chocolate Ice Cream with Raspberry Swirls, Oreos and Chocolate Chunks Maui Passion: Banana Puree, Strawberry Swirls and Oreos woah. as in... wow. The best part? Three scoops were only $5.95! Is that cheap? Well, no, but it's the same price as my ice cream sandwich at Coolhaus! Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? You know heaven? Or at least the notion of heaven if you're not of the religiously inclined? We'll call it euphoria no? Well here's what you're going to do. Take that euphoria, freeze it, and put it in a cup, because there, ladies and gentlemen, is the only comparison I have to specifically my scoop of Ultimate Oreo as well as the 'Zoreo' flavor that I tasted. As I mentioned, these flavors were right on par with Blue Bell, and the Oreo flavors were even better. Not overly frozen even though I came towards the end of the day, not too sweet, and just the right amount of richness. It's not gelato, so don't expect that, but it's purely homemade and all in all just a great treat regardless of the weather. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Alas, the elusive fifth star. "But Paul! You've raved on and on!" Indeed I have dear reader, indeed I have, but there is but one problem. While I love ice cream as much as near every puppy I've ever encountered, I also love cookies. At Pokey-O's and Tiff's Treats? I can have my ice cream AND my cookies. So hear me out: If What's da Scoop were to have cookies? I would truly be the perfect dessert spot. In that they don't, I simply can't give the fifth star. That having been said? WdS is a great new addition to the Dallas Food Truck scene, and I have no doubt that they're going to be a smash hit come Summertime. No Star Granted.
