Went there on Mother's Day! The chicken salad sandwich was AMAZING. chunks of chicken. Not stringy rotisserie chicken. Added the peppered bacon to mine. Also got the chocolate almond croissant. So tasty! read more

This small cafe was such a delightful experience. The dining area was open and airy. It didn't feel crowded at all even though it was a busy brunch. Staff was very attentive and amiable. The food might be the best part. Delicious and fresh. The menu has so many flavorful options so there is something for everybody. Family friendly but not overrun with unruly kids. Y'all! This was so good!! We had lunch here today and we were all so happy with our lunch. I had the pecan chicken salad sandwich - and my husband kept stealing bites. It was perfect. My husband had the chicken tzatziki wrap - so I had to retaliate and stole bites of his too. So good! The teenage boys got Turkey and Brie sandwiches. Everyone loved their meals. Big portions but healthy - so you don't feel overly full. The cucumber side salad was delish! Everything was delish. Great fresh ingredients and fresh herbs. Yum! So excited to have this in the neighborhood. Friendly service. Bright and sunshine-y atmosphere. This is going to be our new go-to family restaurant. read more

Went to Zest Cafe after church on Sunday for brunch. We were able to get right in and had good service. My wife had the eggs benedict and said it was good, and I had a fried egg sandwich which was so good because of the aioli they put on it. It had great flavor. My daughter had a basic scrambled egg meal and as she was eating it, she said the eggs were too salty. We didn't believe her and my wife tried them and spit them out and then I tried them and they were so salty. We told a woman who worked there, and she apologized and took them back. She came back out and apologized again and said she tried them and she was not sure what happened. My daughter was given new eggs right away. The woman who said her name was Avi (probably misspelled) offered us a free key lime pie on the house....it was to die for...it wasn't to tart and the crust was just perfect. We enjoyed our meal there and appreciated the great service we received. I am not sure how the eggs go so salty, but it was fixed quickly. read more

I could understand why people would like the atmosphere, but other than that, the food was below average and costed significantly more than what it should. Sweet tea was nearly $5, and was 5 additional dollars for each refill, which the server didn't mention when she asked if we would like more tea. That aside, good service, though! read more

Being a Texas expat living in California there aren't many things that make me want to come back. Zest is one of those things. This place was so good I want to come back and try everything on the menu. I did have the avocado toast and it was divine. I'm a big fan of avocado toast in general and felt I was playing it safe being that I'm traveling. Initially I was skeptical about the lemon zest in the mix but holy wow did it pull the feta, aioli, avocado and pecan flavors together quite nicely. The addition of the soft crunch of the pecans was also a brilliant move. I cannot speak highly enough of the great combination of flavors and textures in such a common dish that was elevated so nicely. They were even accommodating enough to change my egg preferences to over easy. The coffee also had a great flavor, I generally prefer dark roast but they had espresso and that definitely helped. Which speaks to the great service. Warm, welcoming, very friendly and not overbearing. Do yourself a favor and eat here. I can't believe I'm saying this but I might have to come back to Dallas. read more

Our family of 4 has had brunch and dinner at Zest and loved it both times. The food is fresh and delicious, and the menu has a variety of options for the whole family. We really loved the mussels and meatballs, and the burger is fabulous. It's elegant but family friendly at the same time, and the servers were great and attentive.
