Honestly this is my favorite Mediterranean food. I always order on DoorDash! I always go for the chicken shawarma plate with yellow rice and grilled veggies. Everything on my plate was very delightful and tasty! The chicken is very well seasoned. Their house salad is also good if you want to give it a try! I always ask for extra garlic sauce they do charge 50 cents more but it's a must for me! I recommend definitely!

I had such a great experience here! First, the place was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating which brings everything to a good start. Now the food, exquisite! My friend ordered the chicken kabobs lunch and that chicken was so tender and flavorful that I still think about it. I got the lolo kabob lunch and, again, juicy and soft and so flavorful! How are they able to get their meats so juicy and tender when other similar restaurants make them so dry? Impressive! The Greek fries had feta and salty Kalamata olives that went perfectly with the sauce that was on the fries. I would like to eat that again as well. And the pita bread must have been home made because they were fluffy inside and toasty on the outside, not flat and delicate like usual pita breads. Everything was delicious and I'm definitely going to come back for sure.

Tried this on a limb and didn't regret it! It's a smaller Mediterranean spot with about 6ish seats and a pretty simple menu. The woman at the counter was super sweet and helpful with any explanations we needed. I ordered the chicken kebab plate with a side of yellow rice, pita bread, and grilled veggies. I also ordered a side of hummus and their garlic pita bread! The hummus was super creamy and paired so well with the garlicky pita bread. The chicken was just a tad bit dry for me, but dipping in the provided garlic sauce helped out! Their grilled veggies medley was grilled just to my preference, though my mom found them a bit mushy, but they were super flavorful! Next time, I'd like to try the rice with noodles and build your own sandwich, so I'll be back!

Service was good. Appreciated that the owner seemed to be training a newbie w/professionalism & kindness. Ambiance is standard. ORDER: * Gyro: Amount of mat was good & it was tasty, but I wish it had been more stuffed w/veg. It was definitely lacking despite asking for a bunch of things. * Dolma: Tasty, oiled well outside & great zing of dill. * Falafel: Perfectly crunch outside & soft inside, not too dense or dry inside which happens w/sone falafel. * Baba ganoush: Tasty tho I wish it were smokier tasting. Also it needs the olive oil drizzle that most places out on it. * Mixed kabob platter w/pita & angel hair pasta sides (no picture, forgot because we ate it next day): Tasty but definitely not enough meat. Overall pretty good tho I do have a few Mediterranean favorites here in Fresno too but was great to try something new. You should try them out!

I just want to start off by saying the staff was absolutely welcoming and sweet. I believe it was the owner who came up to me and my mom. He was so thankful for trying his food. As well, checking in on everyone else if they needed anything. Now to the food, it was 10/10 across the boards. This was my mom and I first time trying this place. We were not disappointed. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with rice & salad. Let me say my go-to orders at other similar restaurants is Spicy chicken. I didn't see they had that option other than the spicy Jerusalem (mixture of beef, lamb, & chicken) so I asked if it was possible if they can make my chicken spicy. They were happy to do so. I am very thankful for that. My chicken was so tender with a perfect amount of spice. The rice itself was fluffy and flavorful. The salad was tangy and light. Every thing worked perfectly well with each other. My mother got the Arabic salad with the same request as me a spicy chicken kabob. She could not stop raving about how delicious it was. She is already planning to bring our other family to try this wonderful food. Lastly, we both loved the hummus and baba ghanoush. I thank everyone at Simply Pita. It's definitely a gem. We will be back!

Quick lunch here while on a road trip and I am very happy with my choice! Lots in the shopping center but this is a little gem. Great $11 lunch special for a salad, gyro, or kabob plate! I got the salad, which was big and fresh with chicken shawarma. My partner got the gyro, which had thinly sliced beef. Food came out quickly and had great flavor. The owner came out as well to see how we liked our food. Definitely give this place a chance!

And so, the rice was so delicious, lamb so succulent that it almost melted in my mouth. The server was so kind and sweet, even with a jam packed midday lunch crowd. Everyone there seemed like they were being treated like family and like they eat there all the time. Aside from the above, which would easily be enough for a positive review here, there's even more. As I rushed out of the restaurant, I left my credit card. In my haste to be the 3-hour traffic back up to the Bay Area, I completely forgot until I got halfway back home, stopped for gas, and realized I couldn't pay for my gas with my card. I called them and luckily the same gal who was my server picked up and remembered me, confirmed she had my CC and told me to come back and get it. I told her I was back up in Oakland and asked a HUUUUUUGE Favor of them, to mail my CC back to me to save me the 6 hour round trip drive and ALL the headache I'd incur of getting a new card and having to redo all of the auto-pay set for countless bills with a new card number. Guess what? They did it! They took time from their busy lives, put a customer's needs first and saw past my human error and so generously sent my card to my home. Places like this family owned, down home place restore my faith in humanity and make me wish more places like this existed all over. The server was very kind and built a good rapport with our table. We ordered and it took quite long to get our food. We sat down around 5:40 and ordered shortly after, received the app at 6:07 and received our food at 6:40. The food was delicious and have no complaints there. The falafel was flavorful and the chicken shawarma was moist and delicious. One issue we had though, My friend saw a wax pepper on one of the plates and asked if she can have another one. The food runner came back and brought a side dish of peppers and a side dish of pickled beets. Our server then comes out and asks whose tab he should put that on. We were a little confused because they didn't mention it would he a charge and she only asked for 1 extra not an entire bowl + a bowl of something she didn't ask for. But she took the charge and it was about $5 combined for both, a charge that wasn't prefaced beforehand. Nonetheless, the food was amazing and our server was very sweet. The restaurant was packed so it's nice to see they are busy for a local business!

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
