I've been going here for my eyebrows for the past 3 or 4 times and I'm really happy with this place. The price seems decent for the location, etc. The lady who does my eyebrows is really soft-spoken and nice (I think her name starts with a P). I feel bad for them cuz the threading causes me to sneeze and tear up and I feel so bad but they are always troopers. This is my new spot and they have a rewards program too!! read more

I found this place on Yelp after my girlfriend raved about her threaded eyebrows - different place, but same concept. So I found Zia on Yelp and decided that today was the day I was just going to suck it up and try something new. I've been a fan of waxing for about ten years, so it was going to need to truly be magical if I was going to convert fully. I have to say this: if at all possible, pick a time during the day that isn't going to be busy. Or schedule an appointment. I went in at about 4:45 and - WOW - I was like seventh in line. A little crazy. But still, I made a vow to try this concept out, so I stayed. The place was clean and well-kept. The front area had seating enough for a moderately busy day, but not enough to accommodate the amount of people who were waiting. You sign in on a sign-in sheet and you're called in the order of arrival. And in lieu of an actual landline for a phone, they have a cell phone that (I assume) they'll all answer. Which is pretty cool, but it took them a long time to get to the phone. As for the woman who did my 'brows? I have no idea what her name was. She didn't really introduce herself to me, all she did was call my name and usher me into the seat. All she asked me was "So are we cleaning up your eyebrows?" and she went to work. And we definitely have different definitions of "cleaning up". She took more off of my 'brows than I'm used to having, but we'll see how I feel about the actual job in the morning. I explained to her that I was new to threading, and that I might need a tissue for my watering eyes (my eyes water like crazy after waxing), and she didn't really pay attention to me until I was pawing at my eyes to wipe the tears away. All of the other women were carrying conversations with their clients, and she was talking to the girl next to her in some other language. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people speaking their own language, but she barely said anything to me other than "hold your brows". I give this place three stars because I feel like, if she would've talked to me just a little bit more, she would have understood what I was looking for and not have taken so much off of the thickness of my brows. Also, it was a bit annoying that, when I asked for the loyalty card, that she was so inconvenienced by a process that took about two minutes. I get that time is money, but if you don't treat the customer right, you're not going to have any money. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, it just wasn't ideal. I'll consider going back to give them one more shot, and I'll call ahead to make sure it's not busy. Maybe that will change my perception. read more

I wanted to get my upper lip and chin threaded for my destination wedding. I went and was attended by someone that's starts with an S (not sure) well after I got my chin done it was burning. She said it's normal to get irritation. (I get it it's not my time getting my chin threaded). When I got home my chin was on fire. The next day I woke up a bunch of little nics on my chin. Like I fell and scraped entire my chin. It looks horrible. Now I have to walk down the isle with this scabbed chin! Not coming here again!! read more

I love getting my eyebrows done here. The ladies are very nice and professional. The place is very cute inside. The location is okay. I had some trouble finding parking but that is the only complaint I have. Other than that I will definitely go back. Make sure you ask for their rewards card: 5th visit $2 off and 10th visit Free. OK I was always a huge fan of this place because I started going there when it first opened until now. The first girl I met there was Nehal and she is still one of the best but she only comes rarely. It seems to me as the months have passed this place slowly downgraded for me. I come here literally once a week to get threaded so i've been to just about every girl who works there. 1.) I just came from there and I waited at least 30 minutes to barely get seated. I used to be in and out of there within 15 min. Place was packed which is good for business but it would be nice not to wait that long. 2.) They hired a few new people who really don't check their work and aren't as thorough as some of the originals. I seriously have multiple spots that she missed and it makes me feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I understand if there are ingrowns but trust me these are no ingrown hairs. And since I know who's working tomorrow I'd rather go to someone who I know for sure will deliver than go back to the person who threaded me today. I love that they have really low prices which they've had since the get go but I come here and expect high quality results and lately it's just been average or below. No one's really given me the quality service like Nehal or Sakina usually do. 3.) This is just a random thought but it was nice when some of the other girls would play music throughout the shop. Today it was one big packed waiting room in complete silence. PS. I miss seeing Nehal, Sakina, Kristen & Madeha! If only I could change my hours to see one of them once a week! read more

I usually go to June at happy nails and am very happy with her. But June was on vacay and I figured why not try this place. The place is super cute, I love the bright colored chairs. I had 2 women ahead of me but I only waited like 10-15 minutes ( as opposed to waiting 30-45 minutes for june). I warned the lady I have very low tolerance for pain and she assured me she would go easy on me. That she did! She was as fast as a ninja with that thread. I didn't even get a chance to feel pain and she was done. I like my eyebrows but I feel like June still does a better job and is much more thorough. The end result was great, the girl (youngest one there, don"t recall her name) was very gentle and friendly! I just needed a clean up on my eyebrows so it was pretty fast. Like this place really straight and to the point but not enough privacy. Everything feels so exposed. My brows are done well and the girl that did my brows had a bubbly personality so that made the situation much better. Ive been to countless number of threading places and this is by far my favorite, they have never messed up on my eyebrows and it's cheaper than other places. I usually walk in once every two weeks and the wait time for me is usually 3 minutes. I've been reading other Yelp comments and I don't understand why they say that they are rude, I've been going there for about 6 months now and never been attended in a rude way. I've been coming to this place for about a year now and I LOVE it!! The price is reasonable for eyebrow threading, only eight bucks. During the evenings and weekends this place can be a bit crowded. I like to go during the week, during the day because I am always able to walk right in. I have only had my eyebrows done by Sakina, because she does such an amazing job! I usually get my eyebrows done here and they usually come out looking fantastic. I don't like them threaded too thin and Sakina, the owner, does a great job of making them look defined yet natural. But today I was desperate to get them done so I came in and Sakina wasn't there. So instead I got my eyebrows done by a young woman. She seemed kind of in a rush and while she was threading, it was a lot more painful then usual. And worst of all I came out with pencil thin brows even though I asked for just a clean up. Overall, zia threading, I love this place. But every once in a while I'll get a different employee who really over threads. read more

My first visit to Zia Threading on a Tuesday afternoon. No waiting. Ive been growing out my eyebrows the past 1.5 years trying to thicken them, yet I still had missing patches and uneven brow issues. As best as I did to maintain them, they looked overgrown and messy. Sakina understood and cleaned and nicely shaped my brows. She also gave me a complimentary oil to rub daily on my brows to help them grow fuller. I felt calm and relaxed and I'm done in 10-12 minutes and not rushed at all. I like that my eyebrows are now nicely shaped following my natural arches. I will continue to grow my eyebrows and will need to fill in with powder, but in the meantime I can depend on Sakina to maintain the form. Thank you Sakina.
