Went for Ramadan buffet, nice people, great display; so many different choices of food. They know how to cook meat tenderly! Seems like a great place to smoke hookah and chill later on in the night. Glad we spend Iftar there 2 different times. We will return again next year.

Went for Buffet on Thansgiving Day thought it would be a cool idea and something different...Overall pretty ok not great experience...When we arrived it was dinner time like 6:30pm the buffet looked sad and picked over, not much variety of foods and many items were finished and not replenished or close to the end, like i thought there were would be more veggies, falafel, etc the hummus and baba tasted store bought the pitas as well..No water at the table you had to buy bottled water, not only was the food running out there was a shortage of clean plates, no on came to remove the dirty plates from the table, some items were tasty others were over tried, the presentation of the buffet was also lacking they could have put a little more effort to make it look appealling, and a lot of the foods were over dried...it was only after an hour after we were almost leaving that fresh foods started coming out kofta kebabs, fried fish etc...I widh they would have kept it stocked instead of waiting for everything to be picked over...In general it felt like a potluck dinner backyard gathering at someone's house not a professional buffet at a restaurant lounge, i would have gladly paid $5-$10 more for something a little nicer and tastier...I don't think i would be back for this experience but for $24.95 if someone wants to fill their belly at a reasonable price it's not a bad deal.

The service was good in the VIP section and the bartenders at the bar were very attentive. The meat empanadas were absolutely delicious, the flour was crispy and the filling was tasty. I ordered margaritas at the bar which were very well made and strong. The only thing that really ruined the experience was seeing a roach in the VIP section. I know these things are difficult to control since the location is very close to the train but it did ruin the experience either way. The music was pretty good, had a variety of different genres. I would come here again to maybe have a drink at the bar but not for their VIP.

The bartender did a great job preparing our margaritas and the empanadas we ordered were delicious. The upsetting part was when I was in the middle of a conversation with a friend and a cockroach the size of my middle finger landed in my arm. I didn't let it ruin my night, but they should do a better job handling their pest issues.

Yesterday we stopped in for some food and drink and we saw that they were setting up tables for an event. It looked beautiful. We were told that they were closed due to the event so the wife went to use the restroom before we left. While waiting, I started talking to a very friendly guy named Joe about the Knicks. Funny enough, he turned out to be the owner. When the wife came out, I asked if we could just have one drink at the bar since we came all the way out there, and Joe told the bartender "Let these two sit and order some drinks". We sat, drank, and talked to the owner about business and life in general and it was one of the most pleasant times we've had at a bar in years. We are fans of Cityview (and Joe) for life.

Learned my lesson going up, so I left slightly before everyone to ensure a quick ride back to the lobby. The views are insane. On one side it's the Whitestone Bridge, the other side of the rooftop has Manhattan skyline views. The workers were all attentive and working hard. I didn't place a food order but the food looked good and ppl were definitely noshing.

It's a quaint little bar that hosts different DJs and Karaoke Nights. People were very lively, and all the songs were pretty popular. The drinks themselves were amazing. We got the Mermaid, one of their signatures, but replaced the rum with vodka, and it was genuinely so good. It tasted sweet and paired well with the salt rim. We had a couple of other drinks, such as a Strawberry Mojito, but I can't exactly remember the names of the other drinks, since they made them based on the flavors we wanted. They were extremely well-made drinks, though. The only side note is that the bathroom is a little questionable since it's two toilets in one bathroom, but, nonetheless, Chowk is still a vibe. It can get a little tight if there are a lot of people, since it's a small spot, but the drinks and vibes are worth going in for.

Loved this place and will continue to come back every Saturday…read more I came here specifically to listen to jazz. Every Saturday night, they host a jazz night, starting at 8pm. I love jazz and thought I should stop by and see if it's any good. I was so surprised at how great it was. Going to Chowk, you'll first notice a few things. It feels a bit gimmicky. It's partially the decor, partially the plant wall thing, partially the neon sign. The entire place is set up in a way so that every pic you might post on social media would look great. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a vibe. The shape of the place makes it feel a bit like a railroad apt. Bar is on the right as you come in, with a couch set up between the windows and the bar. On the left is long wall seating. Small tables as well with stools on the other side. At the far end is a good size stage with a jumbo screen behind it. I looked at their cocktail menu and decided to get a "My Name Is." It was delicious and it's the only cocktail I've gotten on the three visits there. It's a Nepali bar and I've also had one of their Nepali beers which was also good. In regard to the jazz, it was phenomenal. I felt somewhat bad that they don't have the crowd (yet) that they deserve. When you go, there's no doubt you're in the presence of greatness, that these musicians have practiced their entire lives to bring this to you and you're able to just sit there and enjoy it. I felt truely blessed. The staff here is chill and kind and are appreciative of patrons. I can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommend as just a chill vibe cocktail bar and highly recommend for the jazz.
