This pool service gets 1 star only because I have to use a star rating. Otherwise he would get ZER0. At first meeting he was personable and presented himself as someone who knows what they are doing. I hired him for the initial start up on my newly plastered and tiled pool with the hopes of a monthly maintenance as well. He started first week of April he was a lot cheaper than his competitors and that should have been the fist red flag. He said he was just starting out and that's why his prices were much lower. I figured why not give him a try and some business. He promises peace of mind! That's a joke. When doing a start up the pool needs start up chemicals and 5 consecutive days of brushing and vacuuming. He only came for 3 days and didn't vacuum everyday. The 3rd day here my grandmother said she heard him calling someone asking what he's supposed to do because the chemicals weren't where they are supposed to be .I hoped she had heard it wrong. That same day he sent me a message telling me everything was perfect!? After the first few days I mentioned there was a lot of plaster dust at the bottom of the pool . He said he would come the next day to vacuum and bush again. A few moments later he tells me "better yet I'll come on Sunday to clean the filter brush and vacuum" I thought it was unprofessional of him to tell me one thing then renege on his word. But , I let it slid . Sunday came around and as he was cleaning the pool I went outside to speak with him. I asked him how it was going . He said everything was fine. I mentioned to him that I didn't think the filter was running properly and he said it was fine. So I took his work for it. After all he is the "professional" right. Prior to this I also asked if he could make sure the lines weren't clogged because I noticed the water was only flowing from one side of the pool with the filter running. He said he would check it out for me and he never got back to me . Oh did I mention it took him 3 days to figure out how to set the timer on my pool filter? This week was the last straw. He came on Monday afternoon and when I got home from work only 3 hours after the pool service it looked like nothing had been done. I don't understand it. So, I sent him a text message asking why it's still has dust at the bottom. I asked what the plan was to resolve the issue and he blew up on me . He said hat my issue is not a big deal and it's my responsibility to care for the pool the other 6 days . He told me that if there is a problem with the filter that I need to take it up with whoever installed it. We have had the same pool equipment for 8 years. I wasn't blaming him for anything. I was simply asking if he thought something was wrong with the functioning of the filter and pump. I think I have every right to ask him what's going on with the pool. It's been 4 weeks . I never had this issue with my previous pool guy. The pictures include what my pool continues to look after 4 weeks. He also broke my pressure gauge that was fairly new and replaced it with someone's old one. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this pool service to anyone . Mr Torres is unprofessional, rude and arrogant. read more

Ernie was a God Send. Our in-ground pool was showing her age and was a beautiful shade of green after being covered for the season. Ernie reached out right away and I was surprised that he was able to come out that day to assess what needed to be done and started on it the following morning. With a multi-generational household, he communicated clearly to all of us about what needed to be done and how long it might take. He has now been servicing my pool and spa in Orange Park Acres for 3 months and I am so glad I took a chance hiring Ernie. One he is extremely personable and respectful to speak with. Second, he is a professional and has my pool sparking clean and is always on time. One month into his service the pool heater went out, Ernie had the expertise and relationships to have the new pool heater installed for less and much faster than the installers I bid out for the job. this guy is a joke. he prides himself as owner operated solo person gig so one might naturally expect him to be responsive and sensitive to a new customers needs . His service is worse than a disgruntled employee in a mega corporation where decisio makers are far removed from customer interactions. in other words he is a jerk. 1. he will quote a price on day 1 and then up it on the day you are expecting him to come. he will not pick up your calls or answer texts or calles promptly. he is rude . today he was supposed to vacuum clean my pool but he didn't show up and I called him 2 hours after he was supposed to be here. first he texted he will be in one hour then he texts he is on his way . After 2 hours when I called him he started yelling and I told him I can't accept rudeness and employ someone who can't kerp his appointment. He yelled " you know what , I don't need your " F***** job . I hung up in disgust.
