    Steak-Frites
    Kayla R.

Came here for a Saturday night dinner for my sister in laws bachelorette weekend. I didn't realize that this is right by the mall and located in that plaza area! It wasn't busy at all for a Saturday but we also did make reservations more on the earlier side, right when they opened. They allowed us to eat outside on the patio, too, which was so nice! We ordered a bunch of different items and split all of them. The brussel sprouts were stellar and so good. We also got some pasta as well. And also ordered the steak with a side of fries. Everything was sooo good! We also got some champagne to celebrate our bride to be! And some shots! The staff was seriously so nice here. The carpaccio was also my fave of everything we ordered! Such a cute spot and I would definitely recommend!

I stopped in around 7:30pm for a bite to eat after spending the evening shopping in the mall. From the outside, it has a beautiful dimly lit patio with a tree in the middle. Had they had heaters, we would have liked to sit outside as it was so pretty. We walked in and many of the tables were filled. We elected to sit at the bar. The inside felt more unfurl me. Minimalistic and sterile for a French bistro. We were greeted right away by the bartender. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name. I ordered a wine while my friend ordered coffee. Quite some time had passed and we realized we hadn't ordered food yet. Nor did the bartender approach us to order. Now for my friend, she was disappointed in the slow service. However, I hate to be rushed so I was fine with not being constantly asked to order. She ordered the Le Bowl which is a brown rice salad with chicken. She said it was delicious. I elected to go with an appetizer. I ordered the Burrata and San Daniele prosciutto. It was served in a board with toasted baguette. But was very good, could have used some salt on the burrata but tasty other than that. The baguette was sliced and lightly seasoned. I forgot to snap a photo but simple and nicely presented. The only thing I would point out is they brought the fishes out a few minutes apart. That always bothers me. Two people, bring both dishes out at the same time. I'd like to go back and try their brunch sometime.

I went to Zinqué for a lunch with a few friends. It did not disappoint. We started with the buckwheat pancakes which are super unique. You can taste the quality ingredients put into them. We were super interested in the Baklava Latte, which was good although could use a stronger taste. For my meal I got the smoked salmon with fries. It was amazing and I would recommend to anyone who likes smoked salmon. Their spicy mayo on the side for the fries was unique and good!

Le Bowl and Japanese Sweet Potatoes

My friends and I came here for a celebratory dinner and had such a great experience! Upon walking up to the restaurant, we were a little nervous because there seemed to be absolutely no other people eating there. Our worries quickly dissipated though. Our server, Matthew, was friendly and personable, the restaurant ambiance was cute, and everything that we ordered was awesome. As someone who doesn't eat meat and can't eat gluten, I felt like there were plenty of options for me to order. I got the Le Bowl (GF) with the frittata and the Japanese Sweet Potatoes (V, GF). These were both way better than I expected. My friends got the Steak Frites and the Moules-Frites and they both loved their food as well. We finished off with the Strawberries with Chantilly Whipped Cream and Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert which were both also awesome. All around 10/10 experience!!

The house margarita- minus the spicy syrup

Alright, this place has charm but the service lacked. I was there during happy hour and requested a drink off the happy hour menu but asked if it can be made without the spicy flavor as I didn't want a spicy drink. She was totally fine with it and then I noticed on the bill that the drink was priced more. When I asked her about it, she told me that it was because it wasn't on the happy hour menu- mind you the drink besides the spicy syrup was the same ! The food was fine but I was not happy with her response.

Gave this place another shot and I enjoyed my meal! I really like their shoe-string style fries and still think the steak is a bit chewy; but it's good and they also cook it the way I ask. Not busy at all on a Wednesday around brunch

Cool eatery offering brunch with a French touch, plus drinks and a cool cute patio. We held a baby sprinkle for 12 here! I got the soft scramble with bacon, toast, and potato gratin. The London fog latte is awesome. Everyone was so happy with their food and drinks. We had all the tables along the side of the restaurant by the bar. Our server was very attentive and awesome!

After the location in San Diego closed I have been missing Zinque and seeing it here in Scottsdale I knew I had to come in. We came here for brunch because it was right across the street from our hotel within a big shopping center. This location was a nice size with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside at a table that had a couch on one side and 2 chairs on the other which was nice to be comfortable. It was the afternoon but I was still craving breakfast food so I went with a standard breakfast with the au gratin potatoes which was probably my favorite part. Our server was super nice and attentive but it did seem like the food took awhile to get to our table. Overall it was a good experience and nice to go and have a relaxing brunch in between working.

Matcha & Melon w/vodka and an Expresso Martini

My first time here was about a year ago! Tried 2 different drinks and their burger that time and I remember the burger being delicious! After having some appetizers and drinks over at Ocean 44 yesterday, we walked over to Zinque since he was craving a burger. Unfortunately, they were already closing soon so we just grabbed drinks only. Our bartender said it would be ok to order still but we said it was okay. I ordered the Matcha & Melon w/ vodka instead of gin and he ordered an Expresso Martini for us to try along with a vodka soda lime for himself. The Matcha & Melon and the Expresso Martini cocktails were delicious! Bartender made the drinks perfectly. I would definitely get these two drinks again!

Grass-Fed Beef Burger on Brioche Bun

Trendy, date spot with a unique atmosphere, they have comfy couches for seating and dim lighting to set the mood. I came for the mussles and fries dish. I love seafood and their mussels were delicious in a subtle, thin white sauce. There were no loose crushed shells in my meal and the portion of mussles was the right amount. I also prefer skinnier cut of fries and they definitely delivered there. The grass fed beef burger was tasty but not necessarily special, patty itself was on the smaller end with some of your routine veg options. Portion of fries was generous. Service was alright, they don't check in much, however, so you may need to wave them down to get a water refill. A unique spot in a trendy circle of restaurants, good option for a casual, yet fancier night out.

This was our first time here. We had a 10 am brunch reservation for my family and friends of eight including three preschoolers. We opted for the outdoor seating in the front plaza. The weather was very nice. I started with and enjoyed my two G-Syltbar brut prosecco for $13 each. I shared and enjoyed the beef carpaccio appetizer with shallot compote, arugula, watercress, capers, lemon and parmigiano reggiano for $17. I also enjoyed my bacon and crispy potatoes burrito with eggs, bacon, crispy weiser potatoes, onion confit, avocado, cherry tomato, spinach and comte cheese for $18. My burrito was very moist, which I greatly appreciated. My total bill was $314 including a 20% service charge for our large party of eight. Gissel C. served us very well considering we had three preschoolers.

    Avocado toast

A family member chose this spot based on the vegetarian and vegan options they saw on the menu. What we ordered: Avocado toast: 4/5 The bread was nice and crispy. There was a good amount of avocado chunks and radishes. A nice balance of textures, sourness and saltiness. Spanish Chickpea Curry: 3.5/5 Loaded with lots of chickpeas. Could have been a tad more rice. It felt like it was missing a bit more zest in flavoring. This was fine, not the best. Moules-Frites: 4/5 The mussels themselves in quantity were plentiful, but the meat inside the shells were meager. The white wine sauce wasn't too heavy or rich. Lighter than I expected. The portion of fries given were generous and had a nice crisp to them with the right amount of salt. However, I'm not a big fan of this particular style of fries. We came during lunch around noon, and it wasn't busy. Service was fast but kind of aloof. The indoor dining area gave off a kind of modern rustic vibe with lots of natural light filtering in through the wall of windows. I think this is one of those places where I actually prefer the look of the patio seating over the indoor seating.

I've been meaning to try zinque for awhile and I decided to try it out for a dinner with friends. The food was mediocre and the service was slow. I was unimpressed :(

We sat outside in the evening shade for a nice gathering. We shared the Cuban Caesar salad with romaine, manchego cheese, sliced pears, toasted pepitas, masa croutons, avocado, fried plantain chips and Aji amarillo Caesar. The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

There was no hostess, and the waitstaff seemed to be limited; we didn't know this was just a 'walk-in and grab a seat at any table' type of a setup - We ordered: +the Truffle Tots - did not expect what this dish was; the romesco sauce was just not good +a California maki roll - the imitation crab meat had an off taste to them, and it wasn't tightly rolled so everything fell apart +and, the Chicken Wings - this was covered in some type of a sticky/hoisin type of a sauce; the chicken was NOT cooked through, and we thought we were going to get sick We ordered the Blueberry Dreams (prepared with buffalo trace bourbon, lillet rouge, blueberry lemon, honey, and ginger) and the Spicy Margarita (prepared with deleon blanco tequila, cucumber, jalapeno, and lime) - both were made very strong and were aesthetically pleasing. Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee
