My group of four met at Zinqué for brunch on a Saturday. We made reservations and our group was seated right away. The space is bright, airy and laid back. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. We opted for indoor seating. Service was friendly. The menu offered a little bit of everything; salads, sandwiches, bowls, and more. I ordered a baklava latte and the Le breakfast bowl. The bowl came with egg, quinoa, avocado, crispy chickpeas, roasted cherry tomatoes, ninja radish, mixed greens, burrata, miso-tahini dressing. I added smoked salmon to it. It was a beautiful and tasty dish, and I really enjoyed the textures. The baklava latte was okay. The flavor was very subtle. Great spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner--especially when your group has all sorts of dietary restrictions. We had a gluten allergy, a Paleo dieter, a pescatarian... and Zinqué had so many options. As much as I wanted the buckwheat pancakes with a side of frites--I could smell them from the next table--I had to stick to my diet, so I got the salmon plate but subbed the rice for salad. Salad on its own, as simple as it was, was great. Salmon was perfection too. Very rich. I can't remember what else was ordered at the table, except for a breakfast bowl, which my colleague said she enjoyed. We rounded out our order with iced matchas, mint teas, lemonade, and latte. I do wish they offered coconut milk (no nut milks for me!) so I could try one of their appealing caffeinated drinks. Service felted a bit rushed even though there wasn't a lunch crowd. read more

Came here for a Saturday night dinner for my sister in laws bachelorette weekend. I didn't realize that this is right by the mall and located in that plaza area! It wasn't busy at all for a Saturday but we also did make reservations more on the earlier side, right when they opened. They allowed us to eat outside on the patio, too, which was so nice! We ordered a bunch of different items and split all of them. The brussel sprouts were stellar and so good. We also got some pasta as well. And also ordered the steak with a side of fries. Everything was sooo good! We also got some champagne to celebrate our bride to be! And some shots! The staff was seriously so nice here. The carpaccio was also my fave of everything we ordered! I stopped in around 7:30pm for a bite to eat after spending the evening shopping in the mall. From the outside, it has a beautiful dimly lit patio with a tree in the middle. Had they had heaters, we would have liked to sit outside as it was so pretty. We walked in and many of the tables were filled. We elected to sit at the bar. The inside felt more unfurl me. Minimalistic and sterile for a French bistro. We were greeted right away by the bartender. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name. I ordered a wine while my friend ordered coffee. Quite some time had passed and we realized we hadn't ordered food yet. Nor did the bartender approach us to order. Now for my friend, she was disappointed in the slow service. However, I hate to be rushed so I was fine with not being constantly asked to order. She ordered the Le Bowl which is a brown rice salad with chicken. She said it was delicious. I elected to go with an appetizer. I ordered the Burrata and San Daniele prosciutto. It was served in a board with toasted baguette. But was very good, could have used some salt on the burrata but tasty other than that. The baguette was sliced and lightly seasoned. I forgot to snap a photo but simple and nicely presented. The only thing I would point out is they brought the fishes out a few minutes apart. That always bothers me. Two people, bring both dishes out at the same time. My friends and I came here for a celebratory dinner and had such a great experience! Upon walking up to the restaurant, we were a little nervous because there seemed to be absolutely no other people eating there. Our worries quickly dissipated though. Our server, Matthew, was friendly and personable, the restaurant ambiance was cute, and everything that we ordered was awesome. As someone who doesn't eat meat and can't eat gluten, I felt like there were plenty of options for me to order. I got the Le Bowl (GF) with the frittata and the Japanese Sweet Potatoes (V, GF). These were both way better than I expected. My friends got the Steak Frites and the Moules-Frites and they both loved their food as well. We finished off with the Strawberries with Chantilly Whipped Cream and Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert which were both also awesome. All around 10/10 experience!! read more

Alright, this place has charm but the service lacked. I was there during happy hour and requested a drink off the happy hour menu but asked if it can be made without the spicy flavor as I didn't want a spicy drink. She was totally fine with it and then I noticed on the bill that the drink was priced more. When I asked her about it, she told me that it was because it wasn't on the happy hour menu- mind you the drink besides the spicy syrup was the same ! After the location in San Diego closed I have been missing Zinque and seeing it here in Scottsdale I knew I had to come in. We came here for brunch because it was right across the street from our hotel within a big shopping center. This location was a nice size with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside at a table that had a couch on one side and 2 chairs on the other which was nice to be comfortable. It was the afternoon but I was still craving breakfast food so I went with a standard breakfast with the au gratin potatoes which was probably my favorite part. Our server was super nice and attentive but it did seem like the food took awhile to get to our table. I love seafood and their mussels were delicious in a subtle, thin white sauce. There were no loose crushed shells in my meal and the portion of mussles was the right amount. I also prefer skinnier cut of fries and they definitely delivered there. The grass fed beef burger was tasty but not necessarily special, patty itself was on the smaller end with some of your routine veg options. Portion of fries was generous. Service was alright, they don't check in much, however, so you may need to wave them down to get a water refill. This was our first time here. We had a 10 am brunch reservation for my family and friends of eight including three preschoolers. We opted for the outdoor seating in the front plaza. The weather was very nice. I started with and enjoyed my two G-Syltbar brut prosecco for $13 each. I shared and enjoyed the beef carpaccio appetizer with shallot compote, arugula, watercress, capers, lemon and parmigiano reggiano for $17. A family member chose this spot based on the vegetarian and vegan options they saw on the menu. What we ordered: Avocado toast: 4/5 The bread was nice and crispy. There was a good amount of avocado chunks and radishes. A nice balance of textures, sourness and saltiness. Spanish Chickpea Curry: 3.5/5 Loaded with lots of chickpeas. Could have been a tad more rice. It felt like it was missing a bit more zest in flavoring. This was fine, not the best. Moules-Frites: 4/5 The mussels themselves in quantity were plentiful, but the meat inside the shells were meager. The white wine sauce wasn't too heavy or rich. Lighter than I expected. The portion of fries given were generous and had a nice crisp to them with the right amount of salt. However, I'm not a big fan of this particular style of fries. We came during lunch around noon, and it wasn't busy. Service was fast but kind of aloof. The indoor dining area gave off a kind of modern rustic vibe with lots of natural light filtering in through the wall of windows. We stopped at Zinqué Scottsdale before heading to the airport for a red-eye flight, and it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. We originally came because of an InKind deal, but we were genuinely impressed by the food and ambiance. Waitstaff was reasonable, but clearly short-staffed. The shrimp, salmon, and pasta dishes were all excellent--flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The scalloped potatoes didn't quite hit the mark, but everything else more than made up for it. This is a super cute place with cozy seating both outdoor and indoor. We had a reservation for an early dinner. Got seated right away with choice of seating. The setting is casual , rustic chic and comfortable. Super impressive bar. The food was delicious - we had the tuna tartine, quinoa beet salad and the roasted Brussels sprouts. Plenty of food for two with leftovers. Ingredients were fresh and so many delicious flavors bursting. I normally like my sprouts super crispy, but these were so savory that I didn't mind that they were not crispy. The only downside of the evening was the service. While our server started out strong, we never got water refills, requests we had during the meal were either forgotten or super delayed and we had to ask her to come by vs. her being proactive to check-in. It was odd because the place was nearly empty. Regardless, we'd go back in spite of the service - the food was that good. Tried multiple items today and we loved them. Zinque is right next to fashion square outside Bloomingdale's with plenty of parking. Lovely ambiance with sofas and nice patio outside. We tried quinoa burrito, falafel sandwich, tomato mozzarella panini and egg zucchini frittata. Out of all, falafel sandwich is the best with unique eggplant roasted in it, delicious. They have such a nice patio area, which would be great for the cooler months. Inside, there were plenty of seating options. They gave our table a high chair and took our order. We had really great service for our meal and she was very attentive. I ordered the crispy eggs with prosciutto, which came with bread and a bed of arugula. This was really good, and I feel like a pretty good value for prosciutto ($18.) I also ordered their gluten-free blueberry banana bread for my son. I found Zinqué while shopping at Fashion Square -- it's super close, just a short walk away! I really love the vibe of this place. You can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or stay inside where it's cozy and comfortable -- perfect for hanging out and chatting with friends. I loved this charming spot for a casual dinner! Conveniently connected to Scottsdale Fashion Square, it offered the perfect laid-back atmosphere and wasn't too busy. There was a large seating area on the patio, perfect for people watching. My spicy margarita was refreshing, the clams were incredibly flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The flourless chocolate cake was absolutely divine, and the service was exceptional--our server went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. Prices are moderately expensive for casual dining, but it's in line with the Scottsdale area. If you're looking for a restaurant with good value, this might not be the best fit. A cool little place if you're at Scottsdale fashion center. This place is kind of overshadowed by Francine, Toca Madera, Nobu, and steak 44. it's tucked right next to Francine so this place can be missed if you can't find signage out front. I started with the Matcha & Melon. Light, citrusy, sweet with the melon flavor. If you want the Matcha flavor, you get it a little bit, in the drink, but there's more of the melon flavor. I ordered the steak & frites and also an order of the brussels sprouts. The steak came with a peppercorn sauce. The frites are more of a shoe string style. The steak was cooked pretty well, but it bled a lot, which didn't look appetizing. I thought the peppercorn sauce was a good companion for the steak. The brussels sprouts were the winner of the night. It was perfectly cooked. Crispy all around. Beautifully tossed in a balsamic vinegar mix and the crispy pancetta was the cherry on top. Highly recommend if you love your brussels sprouts prepared in this way. Overall, I thought this restaurant was pretty good. This review is for dinner service. The things we had at Zinqué were really hit or miss, but the hits were very good, so I went 4/5 overall. The Espresso Martini, Tuna Tartare Tartine, Grilled Shrimp, and La Française cocktail were all delicious. Who knew pesto would be so yummy with tuna tartare? Not me, but I do now! I also loved the bread the tartare came on. I thought the serving size was perfect as well. Same with the shrimp - it was pretty generous as far as the serving size, and I loved the seasoning. The grilled flavor really came through. So scrumptious. The espresso martini was strong and not too sweet, and the La Française was perfectly balanced. I definitely recommend it if you like passionfruit. The ambiance was nice for a girl's night dinner. The service was well paced and friendly. As far as the less than stellar things: skip the potatoes with urfa. While they were crispy, the urfa flavor didn't come through so they were bland and they were dying for salt. The artichokes were crispy too, but also needed salt. The Caesar sauce that came with them was good, however. Another let down was the Apple Tarte Tatin because it was ice cold in the middle. It's normal to prep pastry ahead of time, but at least ensure it's come to temp before serving. We didn't finish it (and not because we were too full lol). I'd definitely come back for drinks and snacks in particular. If they could up the consistency of quality and taste across dishes, this place could be really delicious. read more
