The server took our order and brought out our drink order right away. The wait for food was close to 25 minutes, we went to dine in around 1230 so peak lunch hour. I've been here to enjoy their food and it's great. I will probably do take out next time. The staff seemed very nonchalant with no sense of urgency. It was like they all received some bad news and were just going through the motions. Overall, I'll still visit when I have a craving for some great

Have to say the food is not salty like it used to be. We had the mushroom truffle prime brisket burger. With substitute truffle fries.- ask for the sauce to be put on the side. The cook misunderstood and did make a new set of fries for us. I personally prefer light sauce. My husband had the chicken and brisket plate with his substituted with the Yum chicken. Besides include rice and the cheese bread. The location was clean and ice water was offered. We did take out as well

Many of the choices on the menu were very tempting, but we really came by with the hope of sampling their Prime Rib Loco Moco, which we'd heard about from friends. We ordered that to share, and each had the sweet bread French toast. The Prime Rib Loco Moco was awesome. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the gravy had just the right flavor to put everything together with the egg and fried rice. The French toast was the perfect sweet compliment to the savory loco moco dish. Service was fantastic, we were constantly attended to and everyone was very friendly. We really enjoyed our meal and will be coming back soon!

Bacon was okay; spam was great, Portuguese sausage was great. We also got the Jessica's Moco, the gravy on it was fire. Great portions overall and would definitely come back! Servers were all very nice to us as well. I suggest taking the streets up to the second floor in the back so you don't have to park in front and take the stairs!

If you order takeout there's one menu online but if you dine in there's a happy hour menu from 3-6 plus bar menu. The catch if you dine in is that there's a 2 drink minimum per person at regular prices. All dishes came out piping hot (except ahi poke) and fresh . The happy hour dishes were wonderful, especially the manapuas! The spicy pork cheese manapua were great and a bit different. The chasui manapua were delicious. Garlic fries were extra crispy, lots of garlic but greasy. The poke fresh and lemon pepper salt wings crispy but juicy. So all in all a great option for happy hour goodness.

Location: Kitchen Deja Vu is located inside the Blue Tropix Bar & Grill, which just so happens to be right across the Chili's from Pearlridge Center. Parking: Plenty! You can park anywhere in the Pearlridge Center parking lot Food: We ordered 5 items 1) pan fried pork cheese buns: 10/10 - pillowy soft bread expertly soaks up all the juices from the pork filling, perfectly pan fried bottom adds a bit of crunchy texture, pork filling was seasoned well and there was a decent amount of cheese inside as well (it was giving pizza flavor vibes), supposedly "spicy" but it wasn't too bad at all so this would be good even for those with a low spice tolerance 2) pulehu style short ribs: 10/10 - incredible smoked and grilled flavor, cooked and seasoned to perfection! They're not stingy either, nice portion size and a hearty amount of meat on each short rib too 3) big shrimp potstickers: 11/10 - succulent pork & shrimp filling filled to the brim of wrapper! Very on brand because these buggahs was massive and sooo tasty! Classic potsticker taste and there's a whole shrimp in there too, paired with their shoyu vinegar (I think) sauce and wooo this one was winnnahz ‍ 4) charsui udon: 10/10 - nice & chewy udon noodles and absolutely loaded with charsui and veggies that were so wonderfully stir fried allowing them to soften just a little but remain crispy, adding another layer of texture to the dish and ensuring you get a nice little crunch in every bite! 5) kau yuk (caramelized pork belly): 10/10 - big chunks of sweet & savory pork belly, but not as sweet as the name would have you think. It's actually perfectly balanced, you can definitely taste some authentic asian spices going on in there, and the meat was nice and tender Service: 11/10 We ordered take out but you can absolutely dine in if you wanted to, plenty of booths and/or tables to choose from. But I did wanna mention that we were lucky enough to meet Charlie, the owner! Really nice guy, after we gave him our order, our server Kyle took such good care of us. Checked in on us multiple times & offered to get us some water while waiting for our food. Overall: 10/10 Food was delicious, the chefs obviously know what's good, hats off to them! First time trying this place out and it didn't disappoint and love that you can also order directly from your phone through all major food delivery apps or you can even text your order in, how convenient!

You can sometimes find them at food festivals, and they always have the longest line but at their brick and mortar- you can always satisfy your Filipino cravings. One of my favorite things on their menu is the calamansi chicken wings, it's got a bit of spicy kick and it's so good. You can order just the wings or get it as a bowl with rice and pickled vegetables. The sisig is also a classic that you can get with either crispy chicken or pork belly that's chopped up into small pieces and served with an egg. I love that all of the food here has a nice balance of salt, fat, and acid. The space is cozy and welcoming, with limited amount of seating but ok for holding intimate events. Service is always great, food always comes out fresh and hot, and they always get our orders right. My personal favorites would be: * Kare-Kare (Beef Peanut Stew), which reminds me of my mom's cooking; and * Calamansi fried chicken + noodles, the noodles are very nostalgic for me as it reminds me of my "merienda" (afternoon snack) when I was growing up (in the Philippines). They usually change up their monthly specials (which I always look forward too) so make sure to check out their Instagram page @minasahawaii. Plenty of shared parking space in the shopping complex where it's located (Tropicana Square).

This place is always good. I had the tonkatsu curry, and as a big curry fan, it's good. Tonkatsu wasn't too oily, meat was juicy, and the curry taste was taste-in. I've also had the poke nachos, shrimp/vegetable tempura, and various bento dishes--always at least solid. Finally, appreciate the servers. Depending on when you go, it can get busy, but we've never had to wait too long for food and waters get refiled/plates get cleared. The underneath parking can get tight as well. Will continue to come here, it's a staple!

Will definitely be back because all other dishes we had were great and service was attentive and efficient! Original review: Service and staff were stellar. But the chicken katsu was one of the worst I've ever had on O'ahu. The chicken katsu was greasy and soaked in old oil that tasted rancid and oxidized, which made the panko a disappointingly saturated mess. The panko was way too browned, and neither flaky or freshly crunchy like katsu should truly be, and was a far cry from the photo in the menu. The poor, fatty chicken quality and the rubbery skin left on the chicken pieces just added to the gristly and chewy nature of the katsu. Charging customers these prices for this kind of subpar quality chicken is absolutely insulting, and we couldn't even finish the dish. It's such a disappointment to write this kind of review, but others need to know what they're getting when they order katsu at Gyotaku.

That spot has since closed (now home to Shaka Ramen), so when I learned about the new locations, I knew exactly where I was having dinner on my last night on the island. The two waitresses at the Pearl City location were incredibly sweet and efficient. They took our orders quickly and constantly scanned the dining room to make sure every guest had what they needed; drink refills and anything else. The interior was well lit and adorned with Japanese style kitchen curtains and posters of their most-popular ramen. The light wood on the walls and comfortable seating offered a great place to enjoy their amazing food! I ordered the spicy, flavor-packed Tan Tan Ramen along with their signature fried rice. I couldn't resist the gyoza and was hungry enough to go for six pieces instead of the usual four that come with the combo. What sets the Tan Tan ramen apart is its signature broth: a rich, creamy, and spicy blend made with sesame paste and chili oil. It has a wonderful nutty depth that perfectly coats the thick noodles and pairs beautifully with the toppings. The ramen is highly customizable, so I added extra chashu pork and Ajitama, a soft-boiled egg. The thick, spicy, and savory broth delivered an outstanding flavor profile. If you like spicy ramen, I highly recommend the Tan Tan or try the Spicy Tonkotsu...! The restaurant was easy to find in the Pearl City Shops. While it's not huge, Daiichi Ramen now has multiple locations across Hawaiʻi (Pearl City, Kahala, Kailua, plus Kailua-Kona and Hilo on the Big Island), so you're almost guaranteed to find a seat. Enjoy!
