Got to take my grand daughter and her friend for dinner. We ordered all kinds of sushi, oyster platter and fried calamari. The oysters had the sauce on it already so it was a little spicier than some of us wanted but that just meant more for me. Our server was great and everything came out fast. We were out in about an hour.

Fuji Sushi & Teppanyaki in Pearlridge was such a yummy spot! I was honestly surprised it wasn't busier because it's one of the more affordable teppanyaki restaurants around. We came here for our anniversary, and even though there weren't a lot of people dining, the chefs still put on a fun, energetic show like the place was packed. The service was friendly, the entertainment was great, and the food was delicious. And can we talk about the butter? They definitely don't hold back, and honestly... it made everything taste SO good. If you're looking for a fun date night or celebration without spending a fortune, I'd definitely say this place is worth checking out!

Fuji is a great spot for groups and family dining. It took over the former spot of MBC (Monterey Bay Canners, where I have many fond memories of eating dozens of oysters), that unfortunately, closed during the pandemic. It's a suitable replacement for the time, for families to enjoy sushi or a Teppanyaki dinner "show". The layout has the Teppanyaki dining tables in the front as you enter, rather than at the back of on the side. I suppose it gives an air of excitement as you walk in and watch the chefs put on their show, but the level of "noise" it creates is a bit overwhelming if you're trying to enjoy a nice dinner with a date, or family and friends Our extended family (10 people) went there for an early (5:30pm) dinner on Saturday, before Father's Day, and were seated at the side room behind the glass partitions. From there, we could hear everything happening at the Teppanyaki tables, as though we were right there; especially when they sang "Happy birthday" about 4 different times for the parties enjoying their dinner. Just as a "heads up", I'm not against it, but it was really difficult for us in the other room to actually have a normal conversation across the table while ago that was happening. The food is pretty decent, with a wide selection of sushi rolls and other standard items. I'm not a big sushi roll eater, I prefer great sashimi and an occasional nigiri, but the rolls were pretty good, with several unique offerings. They have Oyster shooters and Uni shooters that come as 2 per order. There were 3 of us (me, my daughter and SIL), so we asked if we could just order 3, rather than 4, but sadly, no. It was fine, and someone in the group ate the other one, but I wished they would price it as each; as most other restaurants that have this item do. The sashimi was average, but it's more of a family dining spot, rather than a sushi bar. The service was good, and everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship. I may be tempted to come to try the Teppanyaki in the future, especially if I'm bringing my granddaughter for the show.

Located by the Pearlridge Mall! We didn't do the hibachi grill and just had the regular table instead but you're able to order items from the hibachi section! My husband loves sushi so we actually went here for Father's Day lunch. The food and service were so awesome and there's a lot of parking space! There is also a kid's menu and my kids loved their food!

We have dined here multiple times since it opened a few years ago and feel it just keeps getting better. The menu selection is HUGE! There is so many options to choose from which in some cases is worrisome; this was not the case here. Even with the variety of options we ordered for a large party we did not experience any delays - food was received timely and crunchy and fresh. Portions are very generous and fine for family style and/or individual serving. We have yet to sit on the teppanyaki side but for now we have enjoyed the regular dining area. The restaurant is very spacious even for large groups and or small 2 person date nights.

Super fun teppanyaki show and really good food! Our chef was super funny and was throwing broccoli squirting sake in our mouths. Everything tastes great, tons of butter and garlic on everything. We weren't a huge fan of the dipping sauces and we thought the meat quality wasn't the best but the fried rice and noodles were really good. Pretty reasonable prices too compared to other teppanyaki places. I'd definitely come back!

There's plenty of parking and a small crosswalk to the restaurant. You're greeted by the hostess and walk past the bar to the Teppanyaki tables or through to a different dining room for the regular menu. Even if you don't sit at a grilling table, you're still able to order from that menu. The seats and tables are a little grimy and sticky the last few times we've been there, which is very Off-putting. The food is beautifully presented, but pretty mid in terms of taste. Overall everything is pretty average but nothing negative to say.

Came here for a work party. We took up 4 tables. Our chefs were all so fun to watch. The food was also great but quite garlicky. Not a big fan of the salad dressing but it was all right. The steak and calamari I ordered was tasty combined with the ginger shoyu sauce, it was yummy. Happy to know they have Dave's Ice Cream bc the green tea flavor is my favorite! Would I come here again? Definitely! With a group - it's always fun. But if you don't want a show, they have another section of the restaurant near the back that has a sit and order with a sushi bar set up.

This is a unique Japanese fusion restaurant with convenient location, easy parking, nice atmosphere, great service and excellent fresh food. We had raw oysters, sashimi, fancy rolls & hibachi steaks and seafood and various delicacies...soooooo yummy and delicious I strongly recommend to everyone to come to enjoy I will definitely come often because it's awesome and amazing

Came in for lunch. Did the regular dine in instead of the hibachi. Zero complaints here. Love the view and the japanese vibes. Food was of good quality and service was as expected. Could see those at the hibachi seating and everyone looked like they were having a great time. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. Will come back for sure. Especially to try out their hibachi experience.

I finally made it to Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki located at Pearlridge Shopping Center. Our group of five shared a teppanyaki table with another party of three. On the hibachi menu are a variety of choices including vegetable, chicken, NY steak, filet mignon, shrimp, scallops and combo options. The hibachi dinner entrees are accompanied with miso soup, tossed salad, hibachi noodles, shrimp appetizer, hibachi veggies, and steamed white rice. Our chef was lively and energetic and had us laughing from the start. He put on a great show and cooked up the hibachi orders perfectly. Some of our party were good sports and opted to get sake squirted into their mouths thinking it was just water. It was not. It was real sake which made us laugh even more. We had a really fun time at Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. They offer dine-in, take out, and catering and are able to host private parties.

They are a chain = nuff said. Here is my story They are located in the former Monterey Bay Canners in Pearlridge on the southwest side of the Pearlridge Shipping Center. Part of the Establishment overlooks the watercress farm that has been there from time in in memoriom They did a good job in lightening the place up. BUT ok, here comes the BUTs 1. I'm sure they get busy so be sure to check in advance or you may have to wait (No, I don't know if they take reservations) 2. Ample parking- after all they are in the Pearlridge Shopping Center 3. Clean Establishment 4. Friendly staff from check in to check out 5. Food mediocre - go here for the convenience and comaradarie 6. Check the hours of operation before you head out. - They close after the lunch session and reopen later for the dinner session - They have a different start time on the weekends. - The teppanyaki bar MAY have a different schedule also. 7 No comment on the pricing thereof as I didn't pay the bill so ... ok- You've been told

Not the first time I have ate here and never the last. I got to enjoy a little get together and farewell for some friends visiting from out of town and it was amazing as always!

You can't order a lot (in order to get another 3 items, you have to wait until your entire order comes; they take forever), the taste of the food is mid and they take awhile to bring you food, hoping you'll get full. They charge you for any waste. They give you a ton of rice and very little fish as you can see from the Hamachi Nigiri. Very disappointed. It felt like I was getting robbed. You think you're getting a good deal by going AYCE, but don't let the Ala carte pictures fool you. The quality and what you get is TOTALLY different in the AYCE. They cut corners and give you what appears to be the leftover pieces for the AYCE. They specifically have a policy on wasted rice to be charged at $35/lbs. Makes sense cuz they put so much extra rice to make you extra full. Just fyi, that's 2 people's orders. When they say 3 limit order per person, they mean, 3 pieces of nigiri. I've never been to an AYCE that was so stingy.

One of the perks was fam tours where businesses would invite tour coordinators to experience their business with hopes of us recommending them. This first hand experience was instrumental in "selling" the business as coordinators encountered the business firsthand. We could provide concrete details to convince and persuade the tourists to patronize them. One of the businesses was Tanaka of Tokyo (TT), which boasts teppanyaki, a type of Japanese cuisine that cooks on a flat griddle. TT started in 1978 in Waikiki Shopping Plaza, an impressive run of 48 years and still going strong. They currently have 3 locations: West (Ala Moana), Central (Waikiki Shopping Plaza) and East (Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel). They previously had locations at King's Village and Ilikai Hotel Yacht Harbor Tower. The main attraction of TT is having the chef cook in front of you. Food is cooked in front of you and served fresh. Entertainment is an additional attraction with teppanyaki. Out of town guests can really enjoy this unique experience. We celebrated a friend's birthday recently where TT East was the selected venue. They are located just next to Hookipa Terrace with nearby neighbors of California Pizza Kitchen and Jade Dynasty. Reservations were made in advance and our group of eight sat in a semi circle surrounding the grill. They have multiple courses to choose from where surf and turf is popular but I opted for the salmon course, which included green salad, miso soup, appetizer of grilled shrimp, sautéed veggies (onions, bell peppers and bean sprouts), Japanese pickles, rice and dessert. For a surcharge I got the garlic fried rice as I remembered this not only being entertaining but delicious. Our grill chef was Joe, a long time veteran of over 20 years where he also trains the new chefs of TT. He clearly engaged with us by also adding jokes in between. My salmon was executed well with a nice exterior crust, the meat was moist and seasoned perfectly. The only thing that didn't make the mark was the garlic fried rice. I recall it being more flavorful with also crispy garlic here and there for a more pungent taste. It wasn't what I previously remembered from multiple visits to TT. Service was also great. We were followed up periodically with staff removing excess plates, providing water and hot tea refills and even providing take out boxes to some of my friends who couldn't finish their meal. Staff were thoughtful in singing "Happy Birthday"and placed a candle in the ice cream that accompanied the course meal. Overall, a memorable dinner with friends celebrating a joyous evening. Lots of parking in Ala Moana Center but be careful as there are some areas where tickets are issued. Be sure to look for signs prior to walking away from your stall.
