Super fun teppanyaki show and really good food! Our chef was super funny and was throwing broccoli squirting sake in our mouths. Everything tastes great, tons of butter and garlic on everything. We weren't a huge fan of the dipping sauces and we thought the meat quality wasn't the best but the fried rice and noodles were really good. Pretty reasonable prices too compared to other teppanyaki places. I'd definitely come back!

There's plenty of parking and a small crosswalk to the restaurant. You're greeted by the hostess and walk past the bar to the Teppanyaki tables or through to a different dining room for the regular menu. Even if you don't sit at a grilling table, you're still able to order from that menu. The seats and tables are a little grimy and sticky the last few times we've been there, which is very Off-putting. The food is beautifully presented, but pretty mid in terms of taste. Overall everything is pretty average but nothing negative to say.

Came here for a work party. We took up 4 tables. Our chefs were all so fun to watch. The food was also great but quite garlicky. Not a big fan of the salad dressing but it was all right. The steak and calamari I ordered was tasty combined with the ginger shoyu sauce, it was yummy. Happy to know they have Dave's Ice Cream bc the green tea flavor is my favorite! Would I come here again? Definitely! With a group - it's always fun. But if you don't want a show, they have another section of the restaurant near the back that has a sit and order with a sushi bar set up.

Came in for lunch. Did the regular dine in instead of the hibachi. Zero complaints here. Love the view and the japanese vibes. Food was of good quality and service was as expected. Could see those at the hibachi seating and everyone looked like they were having a great time. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. Will come back for sure. Especially to try out their hibachi experience.

I finally made it to Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki located at Pearlridge Shopping Center. Our group of five shared a teppanyaki table with another party of three. On the hibachi menu are a variety of choices including vegetable, chicken, NY steak, filet mignon, shrimp, scallops and combo options. The hibachi dinner entrees are accompanied with miso soup, tossed salad, hibachi noodles, shrimp appetizer, hibachi veggies, and steamed white rice. Our chef was lively and energetic and had us laughing from the start. He put on a great show and cooked up the hibachi orders perfectly. Some of our party were good sports and opted to get sake squirted into their mouths thinking it was just water. It was not. It was real sake which made us laugh even more. We had a really fun time at Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. They offer dine-in, take out, and catering and are able to host private parties.

Not the first time I have ate here and never the last. I got to enjoy a little get together and farewell for some friends visiting from out of town and it was amazing as always!

We came to Fuji Sushi & Teppanyaki to celebrate my grandma's 88th birthday, and it honestly could not have been a better experience. Our group was pretty large (around 30 people), and they were incredibly accommodating--seating us in a private room where we could all be together, close enough to actually celebrate and enjoy the moment as a family. That alone made a huge difference. The service was amazing. The staff was upbeat, attentive, and impressively efficient. Despite the size of our party, they brought out all of our food quickly and consistently, with no delays. Everything flowed so smoothly. As for the food--everything was a hit. We ordered a mix of sushi and hibachi plates, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The sushi in particular stood out as really fresh, and the portions overall were huge. Everyone in our group kept talking about how good everything was. Parking was also super easy, with a large open lot outside the mall and plenty of available spaces, which made things even more convenient for a big gathering. It was such a great experience that we came back the following year for a casual lunch--and it was just as good. Most importantly, my grandma had the best birthday, and that's something we'll always remember. Highly recommend for both large celebrations and everyday dining.

They are a chain = nuff said. Here is my story They are located in the former Monterey Bay Canners in Pearlridge on the southwest side of the Pearlridge Shipping Center. Part of the Establishment overlooks the watercress farm that has been there from time in in memoriom They did a good job in lightening the place up. BUT ok, here comes the BUTs 1. I'm sure they get busy so be sure to check in advance or you may have to wait (No, I don't know if they take reservations) 2. Ample parking- after all they are in the Pearlridge Shopping Center 3. Clean Establishment 4. Friendly staff from check in to check out 5. Food mediocre - go here for the convenience and comaradarie 6. Check the hours of operation before you head out. - They close after the lunch session and reopen later for the dinner session - They have a different start time on the weekends. - The teppanyaki bar MAY have a different schedule also. 7 No comment on the pricing thereof as I didn't pay the bill so ... ok- You've been told

Dinner was very good, I wish we tried this place sooner. We ordered 6 or 7 rolls of sushi, oyster and uni shooters. My daughter in-law got a salmon do but I bowl that she loved!

Next time, we will try the Teppanyaki. When you walk in, there are two sections. The teppanyaki area is loud and lively. My wife and I sat in the back by the sushi bar. When we sat down, there was as a sour smell. After some time, I figured out it was coming from the leather menu. The red star on the menu with the sushi rolls means it's special: deep fried or spicy. The appetizer, spicy tuna crispy bites, came out immediately. The spicy ahi inside did not taste fresh. The dancing dragon roll was plain and my wife decided not to eat it. Unfortunately, the same not-fresh spicy ahi ended up being in all the dishes we ordered. The ginger looked old and discolored. The service was good. Next time, we will try the teppanyaki.

Love the energy in this place!!! Food is really good!!! Perfect energy for the toddler who was most excited for the show. The restaurant is spacious and really nice inside! There's a bar, teppanyakj stations and sushi. And you can watch everyone else's show. Starts off mellow and quiet - ordering drinks && appetizers. Stuffed avocado ... absolute BEST on the island!!! Order it. You will not be disappointed. They have lotsa selection of appetizers and sushi!!! Then we put our order for hibachi - surf and turf!!!! I added extra veggies cuz I love veggies like that!!! Then the show starts!!! They push their cart with their speakers. Bring CASH so tipping is possible! They deserve it. The cooks are fun, energetic && super caring. He made sure the baby is ok! She loves the show ... catch the broccoli && drink the sake - none for me and obviously the baby I don't drink. Dinner and great entertainment. I felt bad for the waiters they kind of get lost in the crowd but they keep our drinks and napkins fully stocked - a super vital job in this environment. What about dessert???! Ummm... idk I was too full.

Food: the food was great! Came here for lunch and ordered their surf and turf. Our wonderful chef cooked all the food to its perfection and it tasted excellent!! I will admit he put a little bit too much garlic in the noodles but it wasn't a problem for me. Dessert though, I ordered the tempura vanilla ice cream and it did not taste too good...no flavor. The tempura outer layer was soggy..... Service: Our chef was wonderful! He was super friendly and made us enjoy our time there. Ambiance: it was pretty slow for lunch time so it wasn't too noisy. I noticed there are two sections, one for regular dining and one for the tenppanyaki. You can also order things off the regular menu while sitting at the tennpanyaki grill. The prices are a little steep but the service was great and the food was delicious! So I would definitely recommend this place.

Had a great experience at Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki at Pearlridge Center! The restaurant has a nice view overlooking the watercress farm. Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. I ordered the hibachi calamari lunch special. It was absolutely delicious and something I'd definitely re-order. The lunch special comes with miso soup, a freshly tossed salad, hibachi vegetables, and steamed rice (which I upgraded to fried rice, well worth it). Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and looking for a satisfying, well-balanced lunch experience.

You can't order a lot (in order to get another 3 items, you have to wait until your entire order comes; they take forever), the taste of the food is mid and they take awhile to bring you food, hoping you'll get full. You think you're getting a good deal by going AYCE, but don't let the Ala carte pictures fool you. The quality and what you get is TOTALLY different in the AYCE. They cut corners and give you what appears to be the leftover pieces for the AYCE. They specifically have a policy on wasted rice to be charged at $35/lbs. Makes sense cuz they put so much extra rice to make you extra full. Just fyi, that's 2 people's orders. When they say 3 limit order per person, they mean, 3 pieces of nigiri. I've never been to an AYCE that was so stingy.

The popular, old-school Japanese eatery was known for its traditional Japanese dishes, fresh sushi, and extensive okazuya (deli) selection, which consistently drew long lines. It served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. After many successful years, the Covid pandemic slowed business down, and the owners were ready to retire but couldn't find anyone to take over the business. The main dine-in restaurant closed on 1/31/24, while the okazuya side remained opened. An electrical contractor by trade, John Afong, teamed up with Randall Hayashi to take over the okazuya side in Oct. 2019, and still operates today. This Yelp review is for the Kabuki okazuya (take-out Japanese comfort food). The long-standing Japanese delicatessen known for the popular okazuya & fresh sushi with a busy morning window for breakfast and lunch items, e.g., chow fun, cone sushi, fried chicken, and more. Note that items are not traditional Japanese okazuya, but more about what will sell based on value or price point, what is considered "old-school" local charm, and take-out food that can be packed for easy transport. After the closure of the dine-in restaurant, the okazuya take-out line was improved to protect it from the natural elements and became more efficient by having two lines when ordering at the counter. A checklist was placed so customers could write down items to be ordered and hand this list to the staff for fast-ordering. Bentos are still available until 11a. Some of our recent okazuya purchases are: * Maki sushi. Pieces are large with generous flavorful fillings, but they are square, so a mold is used, which is surprising. * Potato tempura. Doughy batter with generous piece of sweet potato. Put it in the air fryer, and the batter will be crispy. * Chow fun. Somewhat seasoned, a little mushy, and lacking with the add-ins. Doctored it by adding in spam, cabbage, kamaboko at home. * Long rice. Lacking in taste and add-ins. Doctored it up by adding in spam, cabbage, kamaboko at home. The long rice soured quickly. As with the chow fun, love that each was wrapped in a light brown paper for portion control and that they don't overflow onto the next item. * Corned beef hash patties. Crisp on the outside, but ratio of potatoes far exceeds the corned beef. The okazuya items sold at the Kabuki Restaurant were always favorites for us, especially during the pre-Covid times. We live on the east side, and we were aware of its popularity with those who lived nearby, as there were always long lines whenever we went. Granted there was an ownership change in 2019 and with the after-effects of the pandemic, things are no longer the same. Recent visits to Kabuki revealed that while the portion sizes of the okazuya items are still generous, they have lessened in inventory and are not as flavorful as they used to be. Their quality is not as good as before. What happened? I'm assuming new cooks with the management change? In its hey days, there were always long lines for the okazuya. Not any more, as there haven't been any lines so that we could just walk right through and order. Local folks are very nostalgic, as they remember how good things used to be and by continuing to patronize the business, hoping that their loyalty will allow the business to be there, instead of having memories. As there are no lines, the two staff ladies are eager to take your order, and they are quick and efficientin assisting you without any waiting time. Good time to ask questions about the okazuya. Hours of operation are daily from 5:30a to 1p. Cash only. Free parking available in the complex shopping center that is shared with other businesses. There are other okazuyas that offer great comfort food that also should be considered, especially in seeking taste, value, and options. These will be memories one day......support local!
