    after cleaning

Continuation of my review: My jacket was ruined on September 5, 2025. They promised to rectify the situation and resolve the issue. Three months have passed, and I have not received a response. Several letters were sent to the corporate office, but there has been no response and no resolution. I visited the office where my jacket was ruined twice, but I received neither a resolution nor a response. So, it turns out that you can afford to ruin an expensive item worth $1,500 and not bear any responsibility? And continue to work calmly?

I came to this location for alteration services.  I paid for one-day service and instead my item was lost. It appeared 4 days after I dropped it off. This was an alteration issue. When I discussed it with the staff, they adjusted my bill to remove the rush charge I paid. This location has a weird traffic pattern.  Rather than have folks walk in and wrap across the counters, they go the opposite direction, which makes a group of people having to walk past each other to get in line.

This is one pair that they burnt you can see where the color is different.

I had a dress dry cleaned which cost me a total of $50.06 after tax. My first time experience was the same as my second. This woman had a very mean mug on her face ... she asked me questions I didn't know the answer too as I'm not familiar with clothing products & how they're supposed to be washed and became frustrated with me. I decided that it would be best to leave the dress there as I needed it for an event the following weekend. Upon pickup I was greeted by a different woman who was much more bubbly, kind, and made me feel like a welcome customer. I paid, analyzed the dress and was super happy. I decided to leave the bad taste of the woman behind as I understand people have their days.. I went in again as I needed two shirts dry cleaned.. I was again greeted by the woman with the mug on her face, I kindly asked how much it would cost me to have the shirts dry cleaned and she told me $28 a piece, I was fine with that but she was demanding that I now pay upfront... (I was in a different car so I didn't have my wallet - fully aware that's my fault.) I began to mention how I had just recently gotten dress dry cleaned and that I could pay upon pickup and she because super aggressive stating that if "I can't afford to pay now there will be no service." I kindly grabbed my shirts and left. I had no problem running home grabbing my wallet and returning but after being spoken too like that I decided I didn't wanna spend my money here again. It saddens me that all it takes is one bad apple to ruin the whole experience.

On June 19th, 2023 I was in the facility and she asked me how many machines I had. When I told her I was using 3 of the 8 load machines and 2 of the 6 load machines she said "wow that's a lot of laundry." I said yes, that I had not been to the laundromat in years, had cancer but was feeling good today so wanted to get it all caught up and done at once. I then heard her on the phone speaking to someone about "there's this girl with laundry..." I tuned it out because I wasn't the only female there at that point and she works at a laundromat but in hindsight it all makes sense. She had been at the folding table folding laundry for those that pay for that service the entire time I was there. When my laundry was ready to dry she pointed to the dryers closest to her. I figured she was doing me a favor and pointing out the best dryer or something so I went where she pointed over to the corner. I had to separate the clothing that went into the dryer from the air dry laundry. I did this to all 3 of the 8 load machines I was doing this while doing my best to keep my eye on the machines that were still waiting for me. I would grab laundry - look - repeat. You get the picture. At this time the attendant disappeared. I finished all 3 of these machines and moved onto the 6 load machines which were in another row over. Machines number 18 & 19 and there was someone else's laundry in machine 19. The gentleman who had just started the machine was still standing there and told me it was empty when he got to it. He was holding an empty basket and I saw no clothes of mine in the window. I started looking in every direction, in all washers and dryers and at everyone's laundry they were folding, in their baskets and challenging people who were leaving. I went to the attendant who had returned to the folding table and told her someone took my laundry. Her response was "are you sure?" I stared at her and told her " yes I'm sure." I went to the machine, put in my card and showed her that I had paid for the use of this machine. I asked to see the cameras. She told me she didn't have access. I asked then who did? She told me only the owner. I asked for the owners name and number and her response was "I don't know ." REALLY? I said "you don't know who you work for? You don't know the name, number, who pays you, and who makes the schedule?" She tells me no. I told her I'm calling the police to report it. She then tells me "just leave your name and number for the owner. No need to call the police." I told her I would leave my name and number but I was still calling APD. Now why wouldn't she want me to call them? SUS Then I noticed another man in the facility who had been there for a good 30 minutes but I hadn't really taken notice of him before. He was clearly an employee. I told him that someone had stolen my laundry and asked if he had access to the cameras and if he had the owners name and number. His response was "No he didn't to both questions. IDGAF. Do what you want. Don't involve me. Call the police if you want. IDGAF." Nice. Helpful guy. I have never heard from the owner. I have money on my card I want refunded. I filed a police report. I know dam well nothing will come of it. I know my clothes are gone, but I know someone who works there took my laundry or gave someone a tip to come take it OR they at the very least knew the owners information and didn't bother to share it which to me, makes you just as ridiculous AND guilty as the person who stole someone else's laundry. What sad human beings that they DGAF when someone else gets their most basic things stolen from them. I know there are others in worse situations, but if they will steal your dirty underwear and socks they will steal your last $5 and your purse. LOOK OUT AND WASH YOUR CLOTHES ELSEWHERE. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY. THE ONLY WAY I WILL TAKE THIS DOWN IS IF WE SPEAK! RIDICULOUS I HAVE TO GO TO THIS LENGTH TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE.

It's seriously a major operation and they take their business and the processing of your clothes very seriously. When you can drop off after 4pm and pick up the next day at 4pm that's huge. These guys dry clean University of Texas uniforms that says a lot. You can tell right when you walk in you're doing business with a heavy hitter, and the best part is they're not a chain, they're a local business. My office recently relocated from downtown to north Austin, I could careless about the move, however, I had been using a dry cleaner for years right by my office. I started going there because it was very convenient, not because it was great but they did a decent job. I lost some buttons along the way and had cracked shirt buttons, also double pant presses which were annoying. But I scarified quality for convenience, bad move on my part I will admit. Everyone who regularly uses a dry cleaners knows that having a specific one that they use all the time is personal, at least for me it is. When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!
