Really good lamb skewers! My fiancé is from northern China and he said they're very authentic and really enjoyed the flavor. We're from Rockville maryland where there's a lot of Asian food and these were better than the lamb skewers at our favorite restaurant in Rockville. The restaurant has a couple of tables and also does take-out.

Four stars for service, but 5 stars for food. I'm very well versed with regard to Northeastern Chinese food and I can say that this is one of the best and most authentic I've had in NYC. We tried their skewers and specialties. I really recommend the lamb leg, lamb skewer, squid skewer and garlic cucumber. Everything they make is tasty and authentic. The spice mix was just right for all the dishes. I removed a star because the service is very VERY slow and inefficient here as they appear to be understaffed. They also have a popular takeout clientele and they have a bell to alert that the delivery personnel is here, which is a bit annoying to hear every five minutes. Their alcohol and drink selection is also a bit unsatisfactory. Overall, I'd say to come here for the food, and bear with the service! I'll definitely come back to try other items of their menu.

I got chicken hearts and cumin lamb lunch special. Order came with a drink too and was around 19 in the end. The lamb was really good (perfect crisp and perfect flavors, couldn't imagine it any better for the price). I didn't love the chicken hearts personally. Overall pretty fast and pretty good, couldn't call in advance to order though

Best Chinese bbq place I've had in NYC so far!! And best bbq takeout. All skewers were wrapped nicely. Portions were great. Everything tasted great I really can't complain! The oyster, lamb skewers, lamb kidneys, beef wrapped shiitake mushrooms skewers were def recommended.

So good! It's been a long time that I had some Dongbei food so good and so authentic! A perfect combination of Dongbei BBQ and seafood boil. The portions are large and the price is incredibly low, about $20 per person. Must-try: French fries, sea food combo, cucumber appetizer.

謝謝老闆和服務生大帥哥的熱情招待。The service and the food is the best specially the desert. 鍋包肉是我吃過最好吃的,多謝老闆的強烈推薦。好想念國內的糯玉米大豆角炸臭豆腐尤其是老闆送的糖葫蘆,太過癮了

My husband discovered this place with a coworker and finally took me to try it. They have the northern style bbq skewers we were craving. They also have a variety of menu items from oyster, scallop, fish, noodles, and more! We ordered a bunch of dishes and left full and satisfied. We will come back for sure. I highly recommend.

This bull shit bbq lamb, beef skewers and a side of veggies cost me $25 dollars . Will never come back again. The cashier told me each order will come with two skewers but that's not what I got, I got a skewers for $4 each.

The flavors are there but the Ingredients are not very fresh. I ordered a few different things for take out. The shrimp skewer and beef with enoki mushroom were fine. However, the tofu had gone sour and the oyster also had a slight stinky smell (if it were fresh the oyster could smell like the sea, but shouldn't smell stinky).

The owner of the restaurant is an extremely ignoble person. Two special drinks named White Rabbit Fresh Milk and Brown Sugar Dirty Fresh Milk were designed by a waiter who worked for him only one month. And he also offered a cold dish recipe. He worked very hard for this restaurant. Then the owner fired him with no reason. I have that waiter's WeChat. He posted the story on the WeChat. The owner doesn't want the waiters make good tips. Make a lot of trouble to that waiter. What a disgusting person!

Finally a new Chinese seafood restaurant opened in Manhattan! Great location. They have a big selection of food. I ordered the crawfish and snow crab leg combo, it comes with fries. Big amount of food and tastes really good. The squid tentacles and white rabbit milk were really good too, highly recommend this place!

    Candied Strawberries

One of the best northeastern Chinese restaurants! Lamb soup and kebabs are awesome. Grilled chicken (鸡架) is rarely find and I do recommend it. This is our first time here and we ordered without checking any reviews, but everything is tasty. The place is tiny and clean, and the service is awesome. And they offer free candied strawberry, which is my favorite Chinese dessert!!!

This place is very new, I enjoy the bbq dishes it was very good. My thirteen spice snow crab boill was a little light for my taste. I wish the sauce ha more flavor. Overall I enjoyed it! And the dessert was my favorite, the fried taro w caramelized sugar ! Must order.

If you want to pay in cash, make sure you have the exact amount. The meat was so flavorful and the fat was rendered beautifully off of the meat! I'm docking 1 star because they had accidentally given us 4 skewers instead of 5 that we ordered when they gave up the skewers wrapped in tin foil, anddddd after consuming the skewers did we realize we did not get the variety we ordered, but instead 4 lamb and 1 chicken gizzard. The lamb was honestly so delicious though we weren't even mad!

Some will also say it's a tourist trap but I honestly believe it depends on what your looking for in your dining experience. I also don't think it's fair to compare it to any BBQ you'd find in the State of Texas. There are key differences between Dallas BBQ v Real Authentic Texas BBQ. There's a difference in meat selection, cooking methods and sauce. It's more about the experience than "pure" BBQ. The most Texas thing about this spot is the size of their portions with food and drinks being huge. Also, if your looking for complex culinary, sophisticated, and upscale, this ain't it. If your looking for quiet, nope not here. Yet it surpasses today's run of the mill standards of good quality comfort food affordably priced. I purposely did not eat anything all day just so I could enjoy all my faves such as the sticky wings, cornbread and the turkey chilli. First off you cannot come here and not order the wings! It was my friends first time dining here and when she read the menu she thought the wings were going to be those tiny rinky dink flats and drums, but no ma'am! These are nice size WHOLE WINGS. Attempting to eat all 5 of them will have your belly popping out of your shirt and have you snoring at the table! I can eat 4 on an empty stomach but 5 is a lot especially if your eating anything else or drinking. So if you want to try other menu items get them to share or just be prepared to take some home. The Hennessey wings are good but after eating two of them the flavor is a bit overwhelming to me. You will not find a better chilli than theirs!! Their chilli is so flavorful without being spicy hot. I love that I can enjoy their chilli, it's the right texture, consistency, well seasoned and you can tell its good quality ground turkey. The drinks are lit! Generous amount of alcohol. Everything is TEXAS size even if your ordering something as basic as an apple juice! lol I guarantee you will not need to ask your waiter for a refill. Trust me! One major upgrade they need to do here is to the women's bathroom. I can't speak for the men's room except that there's never a line for it. Meanwhile the line hangs outside the women's bathroom and into the walkway of the restaurant. Its just not enough stalls to accommodate guests for a restaurant this size. The midtown location is MASSIVE seating between 500-800 people across three levels. However, there's literally only about 5 or 6 stalls in the women's bathroom. That ratio is way off. Anyhoo besides that this place rocks. Solid service and good food.

It was moist with the right amount of fat. It was covered in a very nice BBQ sauce. The baked potato was a different story. It came wrapped in aluminum foil. The only condiment provided was a very small container of sour cream. Butter was provided upon request. It was quite clear that the potato had been overheld for some time. I only finished half. The cold slaw was quite large and had just the right amount of dressing. Dallas BBQ is well known with several locations. I would think they would know how to make a better presentation.

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Since our program covered the expenses, we didn't pay anything out of pocket. Now I enjoy a good BBQ cookout at home as much as the next family, but don't care for it as a dining experience. My employer catered BBQ luncheons from time to time, and even then I wasn't crazy about it. Here in Hill Country, a room was reserved for us (party of 36). Our dinnerware resembled army mess tins lined with sanitary papers; our glasses resembled moonshine jars complete with screw threads at the rim for lids. Our dinner was a catered set of longhorn cheddar mac & cheese (quite good), sliced brisket (meh), market chicken (a little tough), fresh baked cornbread (dry & hard) and collard greens (good but could be saltier). I consumed massive amounts of mac & cheese and collared greens to help swallow down the almost rock-hard cornbread. Desert was chocolate chip cookies (that wasn't bad). Some members of the group ordered liquor (at their own expense) to celebrate the good time they were having. Customer service was less than stellar. The waitress did not inform us that soft drinks were complimentary until after we finished eating. That wasn't all. The restroom was located downstairs past the bar room. During my two visits - before and after the food was served - the same staff member was there cleaning. He had just finished the sinks when I went in the first time. On the second visit, the front door was blocked from the inside by a pail - he was mopping the floor. Couldn't he have waited till the off-peak hours to do that?? Customer service and cornbread were enough for me to not recommend this restaurant.
